after the presidential election and he served 12 days at the federal prison after pleading guilty to making false statements to fbi agents involved in the investigation. he later wrote a book about the experience titled deep state target.
11:11 pm
[cheering] [cheering] can you hear me, perfect. i walked in with one of these satchels. when your friends and family, that is what you do. i wasn't going to sit here and bore you all with a 20, 25 minute while rehearsed speech because that is in the style that we all want here. [cheering]
11:12 pm
i want to thank the organizers of this becaus because it is wol this is exactly what america needs. we need this all across america but of course this is the nation's biggest and beautiful city of west palm beach and i love it here. [applause] i have come a long road, ladies and gentlemen it's been a long two years, but i'm going to start by telling you things were not easy. initially, we were in this chaotic moment that i lived from the beginning and i couldn't speak loudly. i have no voice except my wife who is here and i think everybody should applaud. [applause] i remember like yesterday the summer of 2015. i was working in a swamp in dc.
11:13 pm
i was one of these young up and coming energy analyst foreign-policy guys tired of the establishment. working with the establishment types, scooter libby, but they were running an administration that i think americans didn't want. i knew jeb bush was finished. he's a good guy but low energy, am i right? we're in a moment isis was going around cutting peoples heads off, christians and jews were being persecuted, the economy was in a rut, illicit and illegal immigration was running rampant all around the country. we didn't feel like it was the america we grew up to believe that it was. there are some people younger than me and some people over but
11:14 pm
i guarantee that under obama we didn't feel like that was the america that we recognized. am i right? [applause] so i said to myself my colleagues over at the hudson institute told me we are going to get you in with one of those establishment campaigns. you are going to move up the ranks and then obviously get your feet wet and come back and continue working in the swamp. that would have been the safe choice, ladies and gentlemen, not the choice to victory. so what i did as i told the is m not interested in that. i am going to go join the ben carson campaign and that is exactly what i did. [cheering] if there is one man that represents the american dream, it is ben carson and i will give you a little story about doctor carson. i remember i was living in one
11:15 pm
of them, working over there in the energy business and i got a call from the campaign manager at the time and he said we need some help here. i said i'm living in london and he said no problem you are on the next flight to bethesda. i get over there and back to alexandria virginia. went to alexandria virginia. he tells me and he tells the group christian judeo values that is the heart of the american social fabric. [applause] and it struck me i was raised in the suburbs of chicago but for somebody that has his beliefs at the root of his heart and how he acted every single day made a great impression they insult you
11:16 pm
have to be educated to move up in this world and to look at eacateach other's cultures and beliefs and want to make it positive and become one of the renowned surgeons in history. >> i saw a great patriots and the evangelicals i saw that if he endorsed donald trump, he was going to take away ted cruz's vote and donald trump was going to end up becoming both the nominee and the next president,
11:17 pm
so i contacted him and said a couple of days ago in miami i haven't seen in about three years and i was a persona non- grotta and it was nice to see my old colleagues once again and i told them and mentioned it during the conference i was pestering you. but i ended up joining the campaign and then you probably g on and that is exactly what happened. i joined the campaign in march of 2016 when he was going to be the nominee. the moment i joined the campaign, ladies and gentlemen, i solved the setup and what was going on. i solve a foreign government going on and they were going to do everything possible and that is exactly what happened. what you are starting to see is when people like "the new york times" and "washington post" had articles about me, there were
11:18 pm
some bad ones, but they were shocked at what william barr and john durham are up to all around the world. this investigation joined the change american history. i'm marking my entire reputation in front of all of my friends here that it will also change world history. the president wasn't colluding with russia. they want to call us fringe people because we believe some of the actors were not working for the russians but probably the cia.
11:19 pm
people like joseph, who you've all probably heard of now, some of you have read my book and are familiar with these others. these people were not there to find out if the campaign was colluding with russia because these people, ladies and gentlemen can know what you had for breakfast before you've even had it. they were telling us for months and months. the great michael flynn seven months before i had this bizarre guy from cambridge seven months before i even met michael flynn and now they are saying that this was all just because we believe that the donald trump campaign and the associates of
11:20 pm
his this was a setup. this was orchestrated and can approximately from the top of the obama white house. [applause] i hear a lot of pundits go on tv and say i came from the white house. they are just saying it because these foreign govern and that were involved in my case which william barr they are now going all around the world australia, the uk, italy, ukraine and the representatives of the government wouldn't even go near an american let alone spy on them and unless the government told them to. that is just how things happen. i was in dc a long time and worked in the middle east. no one goes there un are politically involved unless you are being told.
11:21 pm
who told others to target the campaign backs i think kobe is the air in la and didn't even know what was going on. this came up from the obama white house and the heads of the doj and then they used him to get these illicit performance which were now just starting to understand much more. so, when carter page came out, people were trying to understand why wouldn't he have a warrant on him, what did he do and why would he never charge? we later find out that it allows the doj and fbi to snoop in on everybody. within the campaign. they wanted a backdoor into donald trump and that is what was happening. they wanted to assure that if donald trump did end up winning,
11:22 pm
and i guarantee he had a bigger and better chance of winning than they thought he did and that's why he was targeted but he was they wanted to handcuff him and humiliate him. i'm surprised the nation is doing as incredible as it is considering how much. [applause] women in the workforce, the world respects us. these are not fallacies. this is reality. i know that they want to tel tes it isn't happening, but it is. the world does respect us. but he said that promises, he's keeping them. how many have done that in the past? [applause]
11:23 pm
he moved the embassy to traverse alum, great choice. [applause] that was one of the most beautiful things i ever saw because you have so many presidents who were determined to move the embassy to jerusalem, but they never did. you have others like obama who arwere hostile to the greatest ally in the middle east were staying and trying to interfere in his election so don't be surprised he was trying in ours, too. [applause] here at the precipice and i don't say that lightly we are finally going to get to the bottom of what happened in 2016.
11:24 pm
[cheering] if i., somebody that went through hell and back fighting and standing and going public with my story and bringing more attention from these people who would rather see me disappear if i'm vigilant and talking and being active, i hope all of you are remaining active, too. [cheering] isa 2016 is the most consequential in u.s. history and i think 2020 is. [applause] [inaudible] i like to win, everybody.
11:25 pm
i don't like to see scams against my country or against my president and i don't want to see my name run through the mud for nonsense. if i was a guilty guy or up to no good trying to harm the country, the last thing i would be doing is talking in front of patriots like you tonight. [applause] [cheering] the coward the one that hides the typos that have ran after us were trying to spread this disinformation against all americans and trying to cause chaos and division and create this bizarre impeachment issue that we are going through right now. these people don't respect your votes. they don't respect what you all believe in and what you stand for. that is what the deep state is. it's not a euphemism. people use the word so loosely. i don't.
11:26 pm
they wanted to make us sing or compose, say something not true and change the direction of the country for the first. worst. i would rather go to jail for the right than to be a traitor to my country. [applause] [cheering] with that, ladies and gentlemen i wanted to thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to come out here to share some of what's going on and where i see things going it is the year of the boomerang and these people are going to get it back. [cheering] we will take just two questions and then he's going to sign some books.
11:27 pm
>> i think a lot of people have a question about where is joseph. i don't know if you can share about the variety were give brid what happened with that this is part of the story not even the media has covered the change of the narrative. as i explained earlier in the conversation, if there was one country i knew inside and out of israel. it seems like they knew who he was and then i got caught with some kind of charge for that.
11:28 pm
after i thought i was helping them i guess they didn't think that i ha i'd had enough, they t have enough on me to bring the enin for what they were trying o do. two weeks later i need this bizarre man who characterizes himself as an israeli american businessman and knows everything about the oil industry in israel, exactly what i was up to in my life and the only problem is he didn't know what he was talking about so right away i was very suspicious about him. >> i looked around and i didn't know who he was, never heard of him. so i'm on vacation with my then girlfriend, now wife in december of 2017 and this is at the time
11:29 pm
when there was the issue you -- warrant issued for this is kind of interesting. they had executed one on me so i can't wait to see what they put in there because i am planning on suing when i see the stuff they put in there if there was one out on me. >> the moment i get there it is a very bizarre introduction of the people he shouldn't have been introduced to and i thought i was being entrapped. he tells me is $10,000 why don't you keep this as a retainer for the future business dealings and i kept thinking to myself, my girlfriend at the time, wife, she warned me this guy is up to no good. [applause]
11:30 pm
women are a little wiser than us men. [laughter] she saved my life a lot of times. so i definitely take this money right away i gave it to my lawyer and i said no one gives you $10,000 in cash unless you werare in the mafia or they are setting you up. so i give it to my lawyer and contact the individuals don't ever contact me again take your money. i fly back and beat u meet withi agent waiting for me. it was a setup and this money is now under intense scrutiny by both congress and by the department of justice. [applause] thank you for coming out and protecting him through this process.
11:31 pm
11:32 pm

>> other speakers included the senate foreign relations chair and senate armed service ranking member jack reed. we have a crisis here in this world and here in america because of the precipitous action we take a small number of american troops and greenlight the invasion, we are in real trouble in a whole lot of ways. most importantly, we know that a small group of dead people can cause terrible terrorism even when they are 7,000 miles away.
