conservative union spoke at the recent conservative political action conference in washington. he talked about the impact of the 2016 u.s. presidential election in japan and throughout the world and his organization's plans to host the first japan cpac in the fall. >> hello, cpac. >> hello. >> thanks to dan snyder. i could come back here again. i'm so honored -- thank you.
[ speaking a foreign language ] >> last year right here in front of you i promised to work on creating the strong, conservative government in u.s. and in japan. >> translator: last whole year, you kept fighting and also i kept fighting as the other side of the earth. last year in japan, we didn't have any general election which
could affect the change of our administration of japan. so my focus of last year was this. how i can help in support to realize the conservative government in the u.s. by being in japan. the big change happening in the u.s. will give a big impact not only to japan, but to the whole world. [ applause ]
so to defeat hillary clinton, i worked to publish the translation book of clinton cash written by peter schweizer who is my good friend. >> thank you. [ applause ] and also last march i offered the book that trump revolution, when the international committee and japanese community were not taken seriously about mr. trump. [ applause ] >> thank you. >> translator: because last year
in the spring, i was determined and i was convinced that mr. trump would be the only one who can defeat hillary clinton. [ applause ] >> thank you. >> translator: just let me brag a little bit. so the books became the best selling book in the amazon category ranking. [ applause ] >> thank you. >> translator: but because after i cleared my position to support mr. trump, i became a target of attack by the japanese liberal media which are dominant in our media like here.
so last december, j.c. hosted an event to celebrate the victory of president trump in japan by inviting dan snyder, executive director of the acu and keys the trade commissioner and it was a big success. [ applause ] and this time i came back to cpac and i noticed something. so i have been here the last three days and i had some mysterious freedom, a sense of oneness here.
i noticed i was not the -- i was not alone, but i was always with you working together to realize the idea of a conservatism, even if we're physically apart. [ applause ] so this year, i'm going to be more proactive and aggressive with the three focusing points. first thing, i'm going to devote myself to realize the liberty, the free society -- liberty of a free society by lowering the tax and also eliminate all regulations that are choking our business activities. [ applause ] and second thing, working with
acu together i want to increase my fellow friends -- conservative friends all over asia. because we have a very clear threat in asia such as north korea and china. third, so under the conservative president that you finally got after eight years, u.s. and japan, we need to enforce our bonds and entrench the foundation of conservatism by working together. [ applause ] >> thank you.
>> translator: so jcu is planning to host the first japan cpac in japan this fall. [ applause ] >> thank you. thank you. >> translator: you are all welcome to come to japan this fall. this is my strong wish that this event and the activities will help to make america great again and to bring the prosperity in japan and the whole world i'm doing all my best.
>> god bless america. god bless japan. god bless the whole world. thank you! >> translator: thank you so much. thank you. who chairs the republican study committee. he talked about the importance of reaching out to new communities to spread conservative ideas. >> thank you very much, thank you. good afternoon. since it's after 12:00 now, i thank you to matt, certainly
