tv   President Trump Holds Rally in Pensacola FL  CSPAN  December 10, 2017 6:34pm-8:00pm EST

6:34 pm
voters to support roy moore. ahead of tuesday's special election the president also talked about tax reform efforts in congress and other work being done by his administration. this is one hour and a half. god bless the usa [cheers]
6:35 pm
detroit down to houston and new york to lax there is pride in every american heart and it's time we stand and say i'm proud to be an american where at least i know i'm free and i won't forget the men who died who gave that life to me stand up next to you [cheers and applause] >> thank you. [chanting usa] president trump: thank you.
6:36 pm
if you think this crowd is big, you should see what's outside right now. congratulations. >> hello, pensacola. what a place. right here on the emerald coast, right? the emerald coast, in the great state of florida, where we had a tremendous victory, didn't we? [cheers] president trump: we're joined by many, many people in the military and great american patriots. thank you very much. >> you remember the campaign, i said let me begin by wishing each and every one of you a very
6:37 pm
merry christmas. right? and i can think of no better christmas present for the american people than giving you a massive tax cut. that's what's happening. [applause] president trump: and your senate and your house hopefully shortly will have those approvals and you'll be paying a lot less tax. so congratulations. i got a vote and i think they will. i can't wait to sign that tax cut. great for so many, but great for the middle class. we're going to put it into law. we're going to cap off an incredible first year in office. there has been no first year like this, or at least just about no. i think the answer is no but i
6:38 pm
have to be very accurate because of the fake news back there. [chanting] president trump: thank you. >> in our campaign for the presidency, we defied the pundits, the politicians, and the special interests, because ours was a movement of the people and it really was. it was a movement of you. it was a movement of the people. it was a movement to make america great again. it's happening. that's happening. and, by the way, how are your 401-ks doing? not too bad, right? over the weekend i was in new
6:39 pm
york city, and i love to say hello to our folks in uniform, whether it's the military, whether it's law enforcement, and we had people backstage and i always want to take my time. a man came up, he was a police officer in new york city. the first time anyone said this to me. mr. president, i want to thank you, my family thinks i'm a financial genius, my 401-k is up 39% in nine months. [applause] i think it's going to be very hard for somebody to beat us in a few years, can you imagine now we're only talking about a few years, all you have to say is, with us, it goes up, with them it goes down and that's the end of the election, right? [applause] >> everyone is doing well and it going to be a lot better. we're going to do better and better. we're going to make our country
6:40 pm
great again and we're looking at our country now as america first. america first. [chanting usa] >> so tonight we're going to speak straight to the american people and cut right through the fake news media. right through it. right through it. [applause] president trump: we're going to speak the plain truth and, really, the truth that you just want to hear, you have to hear. they don't want to hear it. but, an, by the way, did you see all the corrections the media has been making? they are saying, sorry, we made -- they have been doing
6:41 pm
that all year. they never apologized. maybe that comes with being the president, i don't know. they have been apologizing left and right. they took this fraudster from abc. they suspended him for a month. they should have fired him for what he wrote. he drove the stock market down 350 points in minutes, which, by the way, tells you they really like me, right, when you think of it? and, you know what he cost people and i said to everybody, get yourself a lawyer and sue abc news. sue them. and then cnn apologized just a little while ago. they apologized, thank you, cnn, thank you so much, you should have been apologizing for the last two years. [applause] president trump: what a group.
6:42 pm
what a group. but since the election, and they aren't going to argue with this, we've created 2.2 million new jobs. factories are coming back to our country. you know, we have factories pouring back into our country. did you ever think you would hear that? i used to tell you, that's going to happen. see, now there are consequences when companies close up their factories and move to another country, make a product and sell it right through. they have consequences now, and by the way, those consequences are getting very steep. and they are going up. there is no more of that stuff. there is no more. in november alone, you saw this today, we added 228,000 jobs. i watch these anchors this morning, they were devastated.
6:43 pm
oh, what's going on? and honestly, we have a long way to go. we're going to do much better than this. i've been saying it, including another 33,000 new jobs in manufacturing. want to hear that, right? hispanic unemployment is the lowest ever recorded. any hispanics here? >> they want to build the wall, too. they want security. >> we're going to have the wall, don't worry. [chanting build that wall]
6:44 pm
president trump: they want security. how about the cuban population in miami? we have cubans here tonight. good. was the number 86% in favor of trump a tremendous percentage? total unemployment is now at a 17-year low. thank you. not bad. [applause] and is only going to get better. this is important because it is all psychological. that is what creates greatness. consumer confidence is at a 17 year high. it was not like that in your last administration. economic growth last quarter
6:45 pm
surged to 3.3%. you know where it was when we started? you know where was? bingo. 3.3% and it is going higher. i used to hear you'll never hit 3%. you figure 2.3%. if we did not have the hurricanes last quarter we would have hit 4% and everybody back there would have said that is impossible. we had a couple of hurricanes. you heard about it, right? the stock market is hitting an all-time high record for another. and think of this. 86 times since election day. 86 times. it hit a record 86 times. and we're going to keep it going.
6:46 pm
and then you look at all of the money you folks are making. i wish i could take 10 or 15% by think you're not going to do that. getting better and better. your pensions are getting bigger and bigger. your pension funds are all of those things are happening. and wait to you see what we are doing. tax cuts. the weight to you see what we are doing with health care. not the obamacare night care -- nightmare. it is not that nightmare where your premiums are in disaster. you watchedaster the we have very good things happening and taxes are part of it. you will see what happens after taxes. with taxes, something great is going to get in-house. we are getting rid of the individual mandate. where you pay a lot
6:47 pm
of money for the privilege of not having to have insurance or health care. so, you pay for the privilege of not getting taken care of. andt that a wonderful thing -- thing? and we're going to repeal it. since the election we have created more than $5 trillion in new economic wealth just in the stock market alone. we're not including real estate. .5 trillion and we are finally rebuilding our country, defending our citizens and fighting for our great american workers. [applause] we're puttingp: america first by renegotiating trade deals. we are renegotiating nafta.
6:48 pm
we are renegotiating our horrendous deal with south korea. i kept you out of the tpp which would've been a total disaster for you and everybody else. and we are making individual deals with these countries. when you get tired of these wealth countries or 18 countries, you are stuck to a spider web. if you have 16 good ones and too bad ones you cannot get out. when you have a deal, one-on-one, simple with the japan or south korea or whoever it may be. if they do not treat us right we send them what is called a letter of termination. [applause] people.t trump: these these people say tpp. you can't terminate. you are tied into to all of the good
6:49 pm
ones. so, you cannot do what you have to do. so you sent out a letter of termination, give them a 60 day notice or a 30 day notice or a six-month notice. they come back because we are the big piggy bank that everybody likes robbing. the whole world robs it. they come back and say, can we negotiate and we make a better deal than we had in the first place. but you can't do that when you have many countries tied in. i called it a spider's web. whoe are a lot of lobbyists do not want to see things change. they have made a fortune. areas around washington, d.c. are the richest areas in this country. -- we have five areas among the richest in the country. that is because everybody is making a fortune and people outside of that area are paying for the money they are making the money they are making we're not going to have it.
6:50 pm
they like things the way they used to be. they do not like it so much and now. although, i must tell you, they are doing well also. their stocks are going up. i do not know if there is anything i can do to prevent it. but they call themselves the resistance. have you seen these signs. resist. resist. i love these guys. blacks for trump. i love you. i love you. i love you. by the way, now that you bring homeownership just hit the highest level it has ever been in the history of our country. congratulations.
6:51 pm
president trump: oh, these resistors. hillary resisted and you know i happened? she lost the election in a landslide. but, you know what? the will ofisting the american people. that is what they are resisting. [chanting lock her up] president trump: it is being proven we have a rigged system. but this system will have a lot of changes. this is a rigged system.
6:52 pm
this is a sick system from the inside. and, you know, there is no country like our country. we have a lot of sickness in and we our institutions are working very hard. we have a lot of them weaightened out but we -- really do have a rigged system that we have to change. it is terrible. terrible. they are resisting progress. they are resisting change because the only thing they really care about is protecting what they have been able to do, which is controlled the country and not to your benefit. wages starting to go up. first time in 20 years. that is going to happen. that is all going to happen. that is just a part of what is going on. but i'm going to do better the in that there we're going to have choice.
6:53 pm
we have choice in education, now. we're going to have choice in jobs so that you do not have one job and hang on, even though you do not like it. you're going to have a choice were you can take five jobs, six jobs and pick the one you like. that is what is starting to happen because the jobs are coming in. that is what is starting to .appen thanks to general matters and the military leaders and allies. mad dog battle. .hank you to mad dog mattis isis is being dealt one brutal defeat after another. you will see it. no only are we defeating these
6:54 pm
.illers, these savage killers horrible, horrible. you do not even want to say people. over are savage killers there. but we do not want them to come over here. i am sorry. you know, they come back to some countries and they come in and make it a difficult process. and go out, kill people back to mom and dad. before they go not so and start here, we are making it difficult. we are watching every single one. we have thousands of people under surveillance. surveillance, that sounds familiar. remember when i suggested something like that. trump? turns out i
6:55 pm
was right about that one, wasn't i. america is being respected ofoad and we are taking care our citizens at home. and we are going to have safety and we have a lot more now. we are getting rid of the ms 13 animals. .e going to have safety again because, america is more than just a place on a map. it is a nation. as a family. it is ours to love and cherish and protect and take care of. and that is what we are doing. we will take care of this country for our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. and we are not going to let people come into our country who are going to destroy it.
6:56 pm
[chanting usa. ] >> that may or may not be politically correct that i do not care. we have to do the right thing. agenda is profamily, and 100%e, pro-worker pro-american. [applause] that is why ip: recently withdrew the united states from the united nation's for global governance of immigration and refugee policy. no borders. they have a plan. no borders. i heard about it recently. i said, why are you talking about?
6:57 pm
no borders. everybody can come in. , i rejectedt mind that plan. ?s that ok not only do we want borders, we want the strongest you have ever seen. we're going to have such borders. borders on top of borders. america is a sovereign country. our immigration rules. we do not listen to foreign bureaucrats. we do not listen to other countries telling us how we should be running our immigration. thank you very much. we are also getting smart and trade. i have been talking about this a while. it is one of the reasons i am president. there renegotiating
6:58 pm
disastrous trade agreements of nafta, of south korea. of so many others. we are making great deals. we will hopefully keep nafta but there is a chance we will not and that is ok. how many factories have left so weexico? how many? have a trade deficit with mexico of 71 billion dollars and that does not include the drugs that pour in over the border because we do not have a wall. $71 billion. $71 billion. think of it. we have a trade deficit with mexico of $71 billion. we have a pretty good trade deficit with canada. they were saying we have a surplus with canada. i said no. and i like the prime minister. prime minister trudeau is a good guy.
6:59 pm
but, we had a meeting. he said you have a trade surplus. i said, no we don't. i said, mr. prime minister, we do not. i said, because we do not have a surplus with anybody. he said, i am telling you that canada have a debt -- has a deficit with the united states. i said go out and check. and he was right. except he forgot to categories. lumber, timber and energy. other the in that, he was right. when you add them together, we actually have a $70 billion deficit with canada. right? so, he forgot a couple of categories he did not want to mention. i heard it was other countries, too. i got back from asia and brought back $300 billion worth of deals. pres. trump: and that number is going to go a lot higher.
7:00 pm
and these are numbers that will produce a lot of jobs in our country. that is what we have to be doing. we will end the theft of america's intellectual property, crackdown on china's trade abuses, and confront countries that cheat, of which, many are in that category, sadly. we will buy back our country, we will take back our country, we will make those great trade deals, and we will have unbelievable amounts of jobs created, and factories created. [applause] pres. trump: and we will do what other countries do. we will start buying american. we want to buy our products. and we will start hiring americans. and we will stay american and be proud of it. that is what is happening more and more.
7:01 pm
see all those red hats and white hats? love those hats. [applause] that is why one of my very first acts as president was to withdraw the united states from the job-killing transpacific partnership. we have also canceled the one job-killing regulation, but you see, one after another, beating the mark of any previous president. there was a great article in the "wall street journal" the other day, a full-page. that in the history of our country, nobody even close, and these are longer terms than 10 months, that in 10 months i have done more on knocking out regulations, than any other president in our history. you know who else was right up there? honest abe lincoln. can you believe it?
7:02 pm
[applause] pres. trump: abe lincoln was a regulation cutter. who would have known that? i said, you mean i beat abraham lincoln? that is pretty good. i do not know if regulation sounds so glamorous, but i can tell you it is pretty important. we have others, statutory requirements, where you have to give a 90 day notice and another 90 day notice and a cooling off, then a 30-day notice. they are all in the works. you will see a lot more cutting of regulations. but we have done more than any other president and it is not even close. and we have not even started. [applause] pres. trump: as promised, i used to come out here, i have been here three times. i love it, i keep coming back. i just keep coming back. boy, oh boy.
7:03 pm
when we were doing well during that beautiful election all over florida, i said, was that pensacola area included yet? they said, no. i said, guess what, we just won that election. [applause] pres. trump: as promised, i announced i would withdraw america, the united states, from the horrible for us, good for other countries, from the horrible paris climate accord. [applause] pres. trump: cost us a fortune. so china does not start until around 2030, i think.
7:04 pm
russia does not have to go back to a recent date, they go back to somewhere in the 1990's, which was a high pollution time. other countries, we end up giving money to. this would have been one of the great catastrophes. and i can come back into the deal at a much better price. they would let me back in. i could come back into the paris accord -- and i like the people. i really like emanuel. i like so many of the people involved. accord -- and i like the people. i don't get it, i don't see it. i want clean air, i want crystal clear and clean water. i want things that they won't have. and i don't want to pay the kind of numbers that we are talking about. if we stayed with those numbers, we would have to close factories and businesses in order to qualify by 2025.
7:05 pm
could you imagine? ladies and gentlemen, we are violating the accord. meantime, other countries are spewing out stuff you would not believe. we could maybe change the deal, but we could get sued by groups. in china, nobody sues. with us, they sue. i approved, immediately after we took office, the keystone xl and dakota access pipeline. 48,000 jobs. we lifted the restrictions on american energy, including shale, oil, natural gas, and clean, beautiful coal, of which we have 1000 years of supply. and we are putting miners back to work. did you see west virginia? i love west virginia. west virginia, people were
7:06 pm
saying coal will never come back. in the meantime, they are buying it in vietnam from us. the president of vietnam says it is the finest coal we have ever purchased. they are buying it from us. west virginia, great governor. west virginia had the biggest percentage increase in gdp of any state in our union, except for texas, which was second. how is that? how is that? they said coal will never come back, now we are opening up mines and drilling. the windmills are wonderful, but when the wind does not blow, it causes problems. we have no energy this week. hopefully the wind will start blowing pretty soon. we are pursuing american energy dominance.
7:07 pm
and by the end of this year, we will be totally self-sufficient. we will be major exporters of energy. we will take in massive amounts of money. we will start paying off our $20 trillion in debt. my administration is also leading the charge to rebuild our military. [applause] [cheers] pres. trump: we are supporting our troops and their wonderful military families, including those right here in the cradle of naval aviation. [applause] the home of the legendary blue angels, people don't realize that.
7:08 pm
by the way, can those people fly, or what? [laughter] pres. trump: how about naval air station, pensacola? good place, right? [applause] and it is really time, this is not a republican thing or democratic thing, or any thing. it is time for democrats in congress to drop the threats of shutdowns of government. and support the clean appropriations bill that fully supports and funds our military. we cannot play games anymore. we can't play games. and don't forget, we make the greatest missiles, the greatest military equipment, anywhere in the world.
7:09 pm
nobody is close. and what does it also mean? to me, it is secondary. it means jobs, jobs. we are building our military stronger. by the time i decide to go off into the wild blue yonder, you have the strongest military this country has ever had, by far. [applause] it is wrong and dangerous, but congressional democrats hold funding hostage for amnesty, letting people pour into our country, we do not who they are or where they come from. you saw what happened with the beautiful kate steinle. the guy said he did not know it was a gun. he did not know it was a gun, that is his new line.
7:10 pm
you notice the federal government came in and brought in another suit against him. that was a total miscarriage of justice. he did not know it was a gun. the real changes we are facing are the drugs and the gangs pouring into our country. the millions of people overstaying their visas. chain migration that costs taxpayers billions and billions of dollars, and sanctuary cities that set free violent criminal aliens all over our country, and protect them. [crowd booing] pres. trump: people come in and they are not necessarily good, like the man that ran over, the animal that ran over many people in new york city the other day. we saw that, two months ago. he runs over people, goes on the
7:11 pm
beautiful west side highway i know so well. so beautiful, people running, jogging, trying to get in shape. according to chain migration, he may have as many as 22 to 24 people that came in with him. his grandfather, his grandmother, his mother, father, brothers and sisters. we have to end chain migration. we have to end chain migration. [applause] i mean, you go to kate, such a beautiful young american woman, killed on a pier in san francisco in the prime of her life. she was killed by this guy, an illegal alien that had been deported five times and convicted seven times of felonies. and i guess they were not allowed to mention this in court.
7:12 pm
they were not allowed to mention -- don't worry. we're right in there. but, he was roaming free to threaten innocent americans like kate because san francisco is a sanctuary city. in other words, a city that would rather protect criminal aliens and american citizens. -- than american citizens. the city of chicago. what the hell is going on in chicago? there are those that say that afghanistan is safer than chicago, ok? what is going on? you know what is wrong with chicago? weak, ineffective politicians, democrats that do not want to force restrictions.
7:13 pm
by the way, chicago, for those of you that are going to say guns -- chicago has the toughest gun laws in the united states. just in case you are thinking about -- they immediately say you have to take away -- chicago has the toughest gun laws in the united states. we are asking democrats in congress to cease their obstruction and do the right thing -- end sanctuary cities. [applause] stop the carnage. save the innocent lives. we have also begun the process of building the wall on the southern border. we are empowering immigration
7:14 pm
officers to do their job. they are doing a great job. patrol agents are working so hard. and they endorsed us for the election. a big group. a beautiful group. look around. [applause] just look around. [crowd: "usa!"] the first thing i see is that big beautiful merry christmas sign. you two years ago when we started, it was summer. i said, you know, we're going to
7:15 pm
say the merry christmas but let me tell you, the department they had beautiful, red walls. snowflakes although the place. only one thing missing -- "christmas." the word "christmas." but we are finding the illegal alien drug dealers, the killers preying on everybody. them out of our country, putting them in prison. [applause] our borders are strong and stable get stronger. -- and they will get stronger. we will not let these people back and. it is time.
7:16 pm
for congress to adopt a pro-american immigration agenda and every member of congress should be asked where they stand on these issues. passing cases, law, to put repeat offenders behind bars for a long. -- a long time. increasing the number of ice officers, and border patrol officers, so we can dismantle animals.minal gangs, [applause] ensuring that new immigrants to the country are financially self-sufficient. [applause] ending chain migration -- we
7:17 pm
want a system that is merit-based. they don't come in on a lottery system. did you see that? that is the guy in new york city, a lottery. you think these countries are legit when they do the lottery. they take their worst and put them in the bin. when they pick the lottery, they have the worst, enwe end up getting them. we have already started the process to end that. [applause] people coming into our country who love our people, support our economy, and embrace our values. [applause]
7:18 pm
it is time to get our priorities straight. wantguy is a screaming, we raoy moore. he is right. [cheers and applause] democrats in congress want taxes, ands, higher government-run health care about doesn't work -- that doesn't work. they want to suffocate our economy with socialist-style regulation, raise taxes to the want to vote for tax cuts because they want tax increases. we need a republican in the house, that is why. we need a republican in the senate. we need more of them.
7:19 pm
way, just so i can satisfy this gentleman out there, how many people are from the great state of alabama? [applause] i have to say -- we have to be fair. did you see what happened today? there was a little mistake made. she started writing things in the yearbook. what are we going to do? allred, you see gloria you know something is going wrong. countryt afford -- this -- the future of this country cannot afford to lose seats in the very close united states senate.
7:20 pm
we cannot afford it. [applause] we cannot afford to have a liberal democrat, who is completely controlled by nancy pelosi and chuck schumer. we can't do it. [applause] jones, and he is their total profit. everyone knows it. he will never vote for us. we need someone in that senate seat little boat -- who will vote for our "make america great again" agenda, which involves tough on crime, strong on borders, strong on immigration comingant great people into the country. building the wall, strengthening our military, continuing the great fight for veterans.
7:21 pm
i love our veterans. right? judges likeervative judge gorsuch on the supreme court, doing a great job. we want people that are going to insteadyour gun rights, of the horrible deals, great trade deals. [applause] jobs.t jobs, jobs, get out and vote for roy moore. [applause] do it. ,orking republicans in congress we have already signed 88 pieces of legislation.
7:22 pm
we get snow credit. trumplways say, president needs this tax bill because he hasn't passed any legislation. in 10 months, we have passed more during this time than any other president in the history and the runner up is harry truman. we passed all of this, including g-awaited veterans accountability act. secretary has done a great job. the v.a. was a mess. so many parts of the country. north korea left me with a mess. they left me with a mess in the middle east. they left me with afghanistan. we area disaster, but
7:23 pm
making lots of progress in afghanistan. we have to get iraq out of afghanistan and syria. they left me with a mess. we are cleaning it up. have ite, we will spinning like a top. veterans have asked for a law to hold corrupt and incompetent employees at the the v.a.ountable-- th -- the accountable. it has never happened, but we got it done. you couldn't fire anyone at the v.a. if they were late, if they were horrible to people, if they couldn't show up to work. now we look at them and we say, you are fired. get out of here! [applause] i must tell you, i cannot
7:24 pm
believe that arnold schwarzenegger bond was badly on "the apprentice." "thembed so badly on apprentice." we are respecting america's heroes and rebuilding america's standing all over the world. they are respecting us again. office, we into inherited all of these problems, years of america, projecting weakness, not going over the red line. line, went over the red you would've had russia and iran going into syria. he said, you are never going to do it. don't ever violate the red line. they violated it. he did nothing. you know what? we had 59 missiles. they used guns.
7:25 pm
we said, you cannot do that. fromd our great military ships several miles away, 59 missiles and 59 perfect hits. our great military from ships several miles away, 59 missiles and 59 perfect hits. [applause] we stop apologizing for america, and we have started defending the reputation of the united states. applause]d usa, usa! trump: to prevent iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon, i declined to certify the disaster known as the iran nuclear deal.
7:26 pm
total disaster. how about that deal? billion, but$150 here is the thing. them $1.8 billion in cash. cash, they had to go to other countries because we didn't have enough cash in washington dc. they loaded up planes with cash. can you believe the presidency has that kind of power? i don't want to ever try it. can you believe the presidency has the power to send bushels of cash to iran, probably for hostages. 1.8 billion dollars, probably for hostages. so sad.
7:27 pm
we don't do that anymore. campaign of maximum pressure, on the file dictatorship of north korea, -- vile dictatorship of north korea, we have imposed the sanctions allowed by the united nations security council. i don't know if sections will work with him, that we have to give them a shot. you folks are in good hands. that's all i can say. [applause] i have strengthened relationships with america's allies, and asked other nato members to pay their fair share. the money is pouring in. ago, and nato a year these fake people back here were saying, donald trump's performance! they said it because i told the
7:28 pm
people of nato while they were standing behind me, they have been delinquent. i said, you have to pay! becausey have taken in of that -- i implied, if you don't pay, we are out of their. -- out of there. the press said, donald trump is rude to our allies. they are rude when they don't pay. [applause] their nation gets frisky with russia -- we have a nation that doesn't pay, gets aggressive. we end up in world war iii. here is what's happened. time, yent, short
7:29 pm
stoltenberg, my biggest fan, because he couldn't get anyone to pay. we have taken an $11 billion orra, and going in to 2020 2021, we will take and $33 billion extra, and they aren't even doing what they should be doing. it is terrible, the way the country has been disrespected. we will be disrespected no longer. [applause] tomorrow morning, you will see from these figures back there, donald trump disrespected! i don't disrespect anyone, i think everyone is wonderful. we are paying for 80% of nato. they say 72%. we are paying for 80% of nato.
7:30 pm
it helps them a lot more than it helps us. they should pay. germany is paying 1%. we are paying 4%. explain that one. germany has unsustainable cash flow. their cash flow is unsustainable. i said, a but. trump: and she said -- we are protecting them. i said "on the left, let -- angela, let us have them." she said "the german people would not be happy with that." i said "the american people are not happy with the way we have it now, ok?" the american people are not happy. at home, we are restoring the rule of law. we are interpreting the constitution as written defending the second amendment.
7:31 pm
you will keep your guns. protecting religious liberty. we are protecting religious liberty. and we are getting rid of the johnson amendment. we have stopped the government's attacks on our judeo-christian values. because we know that families and churches, not government officials, know best how to create a strong and loving community. we know that. getting rid of the johnson amendment -- study that up. that's a big thing. that's a big thing. a lot of people are very, very happy about that. we know that parents, not bureaucrats, no best how to raise their children and to nurture their children.
7:32 pm
and above all else, we know this. worshipdoes not government. we worship god. all of us here tonight are united by the same values. we love our country, and we are proud of our history. we are so proud of this country. we honor our heritage, and we treasure our freedom. we support our incredible men and women of law enforcement. believe the united states
7:33 pm
military is the greatest force history of in the the world, and we are going to take care of it, and we are going to properly fund it, and we are going to have the finest weapons, because when we do all of that, we are much, much safer. and far less likely to have to use them. it's amazing how that works, isn't it? we believe that every american should stand for the national anthem. [cheers and applause] [chanting] usa, usa, usa, usa. [chanting "usa"]
7:34 pm
pres. trump: and we proudly pledge allegiance to one nation, under god. our rights come from our creator, and no earthly force can ever take those rights away, and they never will. that is why my administration is taking power back from global bureaucrats and returning that power back to the american people, and you see it all the time. you see it economically, you see it at the church, you see it in every different way. we don't sing a global anthem. our troops don't wear a foreign uniform. and we will never surrender our rights to international tribunals. we won't do that.
7:35 pm
we proudly sing "the star-spangled panner." our brave troops fight and die for the red, white, and blue, and we protect and preserve the american constitution that we cherish. i've said it so often, my job is not to be president of the world. my job is to be president of the united states of america. yet, there are powerful forces in washington, trying to sabotage our movement. these are bad people. these are very, very bad and evil people. they know who they are. these are the people who made their money, their names, their careers, their power, off the corrupt and broken system, and they liked it the other way.
7:36 pm
so they will do anything at any time and they'll never stop, but you know what? we're stopping them. you're seeing that right now. you're seeing that right now, we're stopping them. it's corrupt, it's rigged, and we're stopping them. they will lie and leak and smear because they don't want to accept the results of an election where we won by a landslide. do you remember? there is no way for donald trump to get 270. we heard that the week after week. what they're doing is the fake news, it's called suppression. just like they give the fake polls. call it fake news, fake polls. a poll came out today on cnn, such a fake.
7:37 pm
a poll came out -- they'll have to apologize for that one. another one came out that was through the roof but wasn't on cnn, but i tell you, look, we need honesty. we need some love in the country. i would bring both sides together if that's possible. there's a lot of hatred out there. but i would love to be able to bring both sides together. the same failed voices in washington who opposed our movement, right from the beginning, are the same people who have undermined the credibility of our government institutions. they're the same ones who gave us one terrible trade deal after another, and one foreign policy blunder and disaster after another, with no accountability and no apology. the washington insiders who oppose our movement are the same people who sacrificed our sovereignty, our wealth, our

borders. look at our country. we owe $20 trillion. think of it. we have spent, as of two months ago, almost $7 trillion in the middle east, and you know what we have? we have nothing. it's worse than it was 17 years ago when they started. these are the people that fight us. and if i want to fix up the roads in this country, they say, "oh, well, we don't want to spend money for that." it's a tiny fraction. we could have -- with that $7 trillion -- not billion -- $7 trillion, we could have rebuilt our country three times over. [cheering] pres. trump: they've had their chance at running this country, and they failed. so i think i speak for everyone
7:39 pm
here tonight, and i appreciate you being here, especially in numbers where you can't even get into the corners. [cheering] say. trump: when i proudly -- you know, the beautiful thing i tell some of my friends backstage? the amazing thing about this and all the people that couldn't get in. tell me, what do i know? i've been a politician for a little more than two years. i'm doing a decent job, i guess. i'm president. but it's sort of incredible. you look at everybody, you see everybody, you see the love in the room, and you see what is going on with everything, and you say to yourself, "this is
7:40 pm
truly a country that respects." they say that when you don't have an election -- the election is over. there's no competition, there's no nothing, although we always have the deep seats inside, but it's over. they say you can't draw a crowd. in other words, when an election ends you can't draw a fly. they say, look at this place. look at this place. i will never forget on the trail, i would go, we would have 20,000 to 25,000 people. we went to mobile, alabama, we had 49,000 people. we went to michigan, the night of the election. i got there, started speaking at 12:30 in the evening. that means it was already election day. we had 32,000 people there. michigan hadn't been won in many, many years by a republican. hillary clinton went there in an emergency because she was told that day that she was doing badly in michigan. she went there, she had a crowd of like 600 people.
7:41 pm
i had 32,000 people. at 1:00 in the morning. i said "why are we not going to win? why are we not going to win?" and we won. we went to wisconsin. hadn't been won in many, many years. you remember that? we went to wisconsin. hadn't been won in many, many years. she decided not to go. thank you very much, hillary. i guess the russians advised her not to go. you know. [cheering] pres. trump: but she decided not to go. and her husband supposedly said, "you better go to wisconsin. you better go to michigan. don't like what i'm seeing. i was in michigan, and i was driving down the street, and they have a trump-pence sign of a lawn to the arena. you better go there."
7:42 pm
[cheering] pres. trump: and she said, "no, no, no, my bun of dumbies" -- a butch of dummies. i don't get credit for one thing. always bothered me. spent a tiny fraction of what she spent and we won. in the old days, if you spend less and you win, that's good thing. over here you don't get any credit for it. we spent 25% or 30%. she was, at what number? $2.2 billion, i understand. $2.2 billion. you think those consultants made couple of bucks on that election? didn't she spend $12.4 million on a dossier that was total phony? $12.4 million? boy. so, we spent a tiny fraction -- think of it -- a tiny fraction of the money and we won. but we won because of people like you. because of people like you. [cheering] pres. trump: and i'll tell you what.
7:43 pm
if the democrats had won that election, instead of being up 39 points in your 401(k)s, you be down 50% from election day. i'm telling you. because it was ready to go down the tubes. i will tell you that. [crowd shouting] pres. trump: thank you, man. so we don't need the advice from the washington swamp. we need to drain the swamp and we are going to do it and we are doing it. that's why i don't really care about all the bitter attacks, all the phony stuff going on. big media, special interests, phonies all, they're not here to protect you. they are only here to preserve and to protect themselves, and you're finding that out. i had a great life before i did this. think of where i'd be right now if i didn't do this. i'd be very happy, believe me. [laughter] pres. trump: but i wanted to do
7:44 pm
it, and i wanted to give back, and i saw what was happening, and i've always been good at doing the money thing. i saw what was happening to our country, and it wasn't good. it wasn't good. [cheering] pres. trump: i took this job on behalf of the forgotten men and women of our country, but guess what? they are forgotten no more. people came out of areas -- they didn't think you existed. you know that, right? remember the word "deplorable?" how brilliant was that? i was watching her with that speech. and she was reading a teleprompter.
7:45 pm
and she said, "deplorables." and i said, "huh. that's not nice." she's talking bat lot of people, and little did i know, i was right. that thing blew up. that is one of the reasons she lost. and now, we're all proud deplorables. we're proud deplorables. [cheering] pres. trump: very proud. your voice will never, ever be ignored again. they're all going to be coming after you for every election from now on in this country. you will never be ignored again. your dreams are my dreams. your hopes are my hopes. and your future is what i'm fighting for, each and every day. we're just getting started. we're on the verge of passing that wonderful beautiful tax cut. the biggest in the history of our country. it doubles the amount of income tax at the rate of zero.
7:46 pm
it lowers tax rates. it expands the child tax credit, you know that so broadly. , it provides relief from the estate tax, also known as the death tax. it cuts small business taxes. it reduces the corporate rate -- very importantly -- from 35%, which is the highest in the industrialized world, all the way down to 20%. you're going to have new companies coming in. you're going to have jobs, jobs, jobs, and it brings corporate money from overseas back where it belongs, and we're talking about possibly in excess of $4 trillion. that we can finally bring back.
7:47 pm
the typical family of four earning $75,000 will see an income tax cut of up to $2000, cutting their tax bill in half. people don't know it and they don't want to report it. these people don't want to report it. our business tax cut is expected to raise annual income for the typical household by more than $4000. they don't want to tell you that. they don't want to tell you that. fake news. our plan means more companies will move to america, stay in america, and hire in america. we want every american to know that the dignity of work, the pride of a paycheck, and the satisfaction of a job well done. the democrats in washington want to grow our welfare rolls that you're going to pay for. they want to grow all sorts of things you don't want to even
7:48 pm
think about. i want to grow our employment rolls with great jobs, well-paying jobs, jobs with dignity, jobs where people love wake up in the morning and going to work, and that's happening. so we're going lift our people from welfare to work, from dependence to independence and from forth prosperity. -- and from poverty to prosperity. we will restore hope to our struggling rural communities and to our inner cities, where we're making progress. we're making progress. we will build new roads and bridges and tunnels and highways all throughout our land. factories will come roaring back to life. new works of iron and steel will be forged from fire and from sparks and from our country, and they will be made with american muscle, american hands and, most importantly, american heart.
7:49 pm
and these creations will be branded with a very simple but very beautiful phrase, "made in the u.s.a." we have in our power to build this future together, future of patriotism, prosperity, and pride. we all share one home, and one glorious destiny. whether we are young or old, i feel very young, do you feel young? whether we are from the city or the country, and whether we are black or brown or white, you've heard it before, we all bleed the same red blood. [cheering]
7:50 pm
pres. trump: we all salute the same great american flag. and we are all made by the same almighty god. [cheering] pres. trump: we are the nation that dug out the panama canal, won two world wars, put a man on the moon, and brought communism to its knees. as long as we have the courage of our convictions, and the strength to see them through, then there is no goal beyond our reach. as long as we are true to our values, loyal to our citizens, and faithful to our god, then we will not fail.
7:51 pm
this is your land. this is your home. and it's your voice that matters the most. so speak up, be heard, and fight, fight, fight, for the change you have been waiting for your entire life, for the change that you already see happening. our revolution didn't end on november 8. that was just the beginning. [crowd chanting "trump"] pres. trump: the greatest adventure still lies ahead. never give in, never give up, never back down, and never, ever stop dreaming. [applause] because we are americans, and the future belongs to us. the future belongs to all of you.
7:52 pm
so with american pride swelling in our hearts, and american courage starring in our souls, i say these words tonight. together, we will indeed make america strong again. [cheering] we will make america proud again. we will make america wealthy again. [cheers and applause] pres. trump: we will make america safe again. [cheers and applause] and, put it all together and what do we have? we will make america great again. thank you, god bless you. god bless america. thank you, everybody.
