we don't want to pay. we will work with them and stop the trip to the mediterranean for the enemies. we will do lots of things. we will have them come home. we will let people there. we will have those people pay. they have to pay. they have so much money they don't know what to do with it. they are rolling in money. i have been asking them -- i told a story the other day but nobody reports it. i said we are going to move the embassy to jerusalem. [applause] pres. trump: a month ago they come into my office with an order. sir, i have an order. what's the order? sir, we're going to build the embassy. i say, where? in jerusalem, sir. good. how much? sir, $1 billion. i said, whoa, whoa.
10:44 am
i had the thing have signed. it is signed donald. i put a big x over the donald. $1 billion, sir. i said, wait a minute, we are going to spend $1 billion building essentially a one-story building. i called my guys. the ambassador to israel, david friedman. [applause] you know him? he was one of the biggest lawyers in new york, represented me over the years. he is an incredible lawyer. he loves israel. he loves our country. he is very proud of israel, very important to him. i said, let's see if you can make peace. part of it is, let's see about this. i called him and said i am not

spending $1 billion on an embassy. he said, i don't think you have to. i said, what do you mean? he said, i think i can do it for $150,000. [applause] i said, what? he said, yeah. we have a great site that we are going to buy. the best site. it has a building on it. i can take a corner of the building and i can spend that money and i can build a beautiful embassy. we can have it open in three months. [applause] big difference, right? big difference. we went from $1 billion to $150,000. i took the liberty of saying, david, if you spend more than $150,000, that's ok. so we save a bit. it is temporary. it is nice. billion, most of us except for these beautiful young

ones, we would not be around to see it. here we get it open immediately. it is opening in like a month. you have been reading about it. it is opening in a month. now, as you know, in the u.k., in london, we had the best site and all of london. the best site. some genius said we are going to sell the site and then we are going to take the money and build a new embassy. that sounds good, right? but you have to have money left over. so they sold the site for like -- i think, but i will check the numbers. these numbers are close enough. they sold the site for like $250 million. they think they are geniuses. they go out and buy a horrible location and they build a new embassy. that is the good news. the bad news is that the embassy cost over $1 billion.
10:47 am
what do we have? we have an embassy in a lousy location. i was supposed to cut the ribbon. i did not do the deal. it was started by bush and obama. it was a bush-obama special. [booing] pres. trump: but it could have been stopped by obama. would've been stopped by me. i asked what kind of a deal is that, you sold the best site in london. literally. the best site. they were so happy that they got $250 million, or whatever but they spent all of that money plus a lot more to build a new embassy in a lousy location. i don't know, folks. we need a whole new thinking here. we need a whole new thinking. we need a whole new thinking. [applause] pres. trump: we are going to finally put america first. ok? [applause]
10:48 am
pres. trump: since the election, we have created more than 3 million jobs including 300,000 new jobs in manufacturing. we love manufacturing. [cheering] pres. trump: by the way, they wanted me to cut the ribbon on the new embassy and i was all set and then in the end, i said i am not going. i don't want to go. i said i am not cutting that ribbon. i said, i am not going. all right. hopefully, we will have many years of success with that embassy. [applause] pres. trump: in our country, jobs are booming and confidence is soaring. we are at the top of the charts. and they are talking about us all over the world. they are talking about this incredible success.
10:49 am
believe me, if i did not get elected, if the opposition party, which i call the obstructionist party, they are obstructionist, that is all they are good at. elected, they would not have cut regulations or taxes and you would have been down to a negative gdp. wait until you see over the coming quarters how good it is going to be. you see what is happening. our companies are ready to soar. they are ready to soar. wages, for the first time, are rising at the fastest pace in many, many years. 18, 19, 20 years. i tell you. i always would go around and i would say to you strongly, people have jobs. they made more money 21 years ago than they do today and in some cases, they have two or three jobs. terrible. african-american unemployment has reached the lowest level in history. [applause]

pres. trump: in history. hispanic unemployment -- any hispanics in the room? not so many. that is ok. by the way, in all fairness, kanye west gets it. [applause] pres. trump: he gets it. and he saw that. when he sees that african-american unemployment is the lowest in history, you know, people are watching. that is a very important thing he has done for his legacy. it is a very important thing. but hispanic unemployment, lowest level in history. women, female unemployment, lowest level in 18 years. [applause] and wages are going up for the
10:51 am
first time in many, many years. it is great. as the result of our massive tax cuts, which by the way debbie stebano voted against. [booing] and if they get in, if the democrats get in, they are going to take that tax cuts away and raise your taxes to a much higher level than you ever thought possible. that is what they want to do, so they can give the money away. [booing] millions of americans are receiving large bonuses and bigger paychecks than they have ever received because they have so much money that they did not even know they were making. you see what has happened as of february 1. right after the cuts, the corporations gave massive bonuses and they continue. here in michigan, chrysler handed out $2000 bonuses to 60,000 workers and announced
10:52 am
plans for a $1 billion investment in warren creating a minimum of 2500 jobs. [cheering] pres. trump: they are now leaving other countries and coming back to michigan. remember i told you that five or six years ago. they are now coming back. and they will come back a lot faster than you have seen. you know what is even more important? they are not leaving. because we do not give them an incentive to leave anymore. they used to give them incentives to leave. we're not giving them incentives. we are giving them incentive to stay and to pay our people. [cheering] pres. trump: but to protect our families, we must secure our border. the good thing about the caravan, people are watching. people are watching.
10:53 am
you watch how horrible -- they are coming in from honduras. they are coming in from other places. they are taking this long trek up mexico. we want mexico to help us and we have to demand it. but mexico is going to help us. but, there are still hundreds of people out of maybe 2000. our laws are so corrupt and so stupid -- i call them the dumbest immigration laws anywhere on earth. if a person puts their foot over the line, we have to take them into our country, register them. [booing] we then have to ask them a couple of questions. lawyers are telling them what to say. how unsafe they are. once they say that, we have let them go and come back to court in a year. only one problem. they don't come back. that is the end. welcome to the united states. this is the law. and we have at the border, the greatest people. the border patrol.
10:54 am
agents. these are great people. and the laws are so corrupt, they are so corrupt -- one of the reasons they do it is because the democrats actually feel, and they are probably right, that all of these people pouring across are going to vote for democrats. they are not going to vote for republicans. they will vote no matter what we do. there is a theory that they do it for that. they do it for a lot of reasons. a lot of times they do not even know what they are doing. they don't know why they are doing it. but, we have to have borders and we have to have them fast and we need security. we need the wall. we are going to have it all. that wall has started. we got $1.6 billion. we come up again on september 28. if we do not get border security, we will have no choice. we will close down the country because we need border security. [cheering]
10:55 am
we do not have a wall but a big portion is being built. a lot of it is being fixed. we have wall that was not wall. we have wall with big holes in it that is old and a lot of it is being fixed right now. we are putting up brand-new, gorgeous stuff. we are building -- as i told you in san diego and other places we are building. we have to have border security. the one good thing, watch the caravan. watch how sad and terrible it is, including for those people because they come up and the crime that they inflict on themselves and that others inflict on them -- it is a horrible, dangerous journey for them. for them. they come up because they know once they get here, they can walk right into the country. we have the greatest people on earth and they cannot do anything because the laws are corrupt. the laws are corrupt.
10:56 am
so, we have fought to secure our border but democrats in congress, nancy pelosi, chuck , they have opposed us at every step and every step. they have opposed every effort to close the loopholes, to keep the violent criminals like ms-13 the hell out of our country and to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs which are pouring into our country. and we have done a great job and the numbers are great but part of the problem is, people are smart. and they see how ridiculous these laws are. they know if they can get anywhere near -- once they touch our ground, it is called, "welcome to the united states."
10:57 am
how crazy is it? how crazy are we to allow this? i will tell you, the republicans are working hard. and debbie is one of the leaders of week -- of weak borders letting people in. i don't know how she gets elected. a vote for a democrat in november is a vote for open borders and crime. it is very simple. it is also a vote for much higher taxes. it is also a vote for -- be careful of your second amendment. ok, be careful. [cheering] pres. trump: be careful of your second amendment if they get him. the open border policies of the democratic party are not just wrong, they are dangerous and they are in fact deadly. they are deadly. they make no sense. they are deadly. their policies let gangs, some of the most vicious gangs in the world, pour into our country. they pour into our country.
10:58 am
do you know on long island, you have gang members that are so tough that we send in these incredible ice agents. but you know what? the ice agents are much tougher and they are grabbing them. and i will to you what. a doctor, please? doctor. a doctor, please? take your time. take your time, darling. [cheering] >> we love you, trump! >> we love you! >> thank you for everything.
10:59 am
>> we love you, trump! >> lock her up.
11:00 am
[applause]
11:01 am
president trump: those are the people we love. those are great people, i tell you. and the doctors, thank you dr.. great job. amazing. what people we have. but people we have. -- what people we have. we have to keep going the way we are going. what we did was called a miracle. i don't begin was a miracle. to you remember on election day -- it was 12:00 in the evening, when i started speaking, grand rapids, he says grand rapids. and it was an unexpected stop. but i heard the opponent is
11:02 am
andg out with the president they were going out also unexpected. and they had a small crowd. when i heard that, we left where we were. we said let's go to michigan. grand rapids. at 12:00 in the evening. that?er i said how's the crowd. we could not get near the arena. 32,000 people. i finished speaking at 1:00 in the morning on election day. you were there. 32,000 people. michigan had not been won in many years. we had 32,000 people. i got home at 3:00 in the morning. and i said, why we going to lose michigan?we had 32,000 people beyondin the morning and
11:03 am
, everybody was -- we had a .reat time so why are we going to lose michigan. they said because the republicans lose michigan. back.inging the jobs we're going to mission -- we are going to win michigan and we won michigan, i think quite easily. remember that? speechs said i made that on election day because by the time we finished it was 1:00. it was election day. this november, every american will face a choice. they say if the house does not
11:04 am
-- you have great congressman. these are great people. we have to keep the house because if you listen to maxine , she goes around saying we will in peach ham. people said, but he has not done anything wrong. that does not matter, we will in -- impeach the president. i don't think we will have a lot of happy people if that happens. it will be tough. she goes around and some others, we will impeach him. it does not matter if you do anything right or wrong. we've got to win the house. we are going to win anyway. we're going to win the house.
11:05 am
historically, when you win the presidency the person that wins, the party that wins does poorly in the midterms. i guess you take it easy. i guess it's 94% of the time. you get complacent. we cannot be complacent. and we've gotut to fight like hell and win back the house and the senate and i think we would do great in the senate and i think we would do great in the house because the economy is so good. andeconomy is so good because if you look at us all around the world we are respected again. we are not pushovers anymore. .ou saw the president of france he came in.
11:06 am
great guy. chancellor merkel came in yesterday from germany. it will all be fine. don't blame them, lame the people that used to stand here with much smaller crowds, but that's ok. presidentsamerican and your american representatives. but it's not happening anymore. we are respected again as a nation. we are not patsies anymore. not the pushovers anymore. by the way, speaking of not , you a patsy or a pushover ever watch corrie lewandowski on the shows? and david boston.
11:07 am
he also had very little experience. he only ran one campaign and he won so he is one for one. say a few words. >> this is trump country. .e love you, michigan thank you for supporting donald j trump is your next president of the united states. thank you very much. president trump: i saw them. they work hard and these are great people and we really appreciate it. so we need more republicans. they say we have a majority. very few in the house. we need more to get it done.
11:08 am
we'll get it done when way or the other but we need more with your help. we will elect more republicans and deliver even more. other than health care, which frankly we got rid of the individual mandate which is the .orst part of obamacare we are doing association health care very soon. coming out over the next couple of weeks which will be incredible where you can buy great health care, highly competitive. i used to talk during the debates -- get rid of the state lines. you will be able to go out and buy great health care at a very low and competitive price. and essentially, we are getting rid of obamacare. some people would say that we have essentially gotten rid of it. but, you no longer have the individual mandate. you remember what that is. that is when you had the privilege of going out and spending a lot of money so that
11:09 am
you had the second privilege of not having to buy health care. so, you paid for the privilege of not buying health care. we got rid of it in the tax cut plan. big things. big things. that was so unconstitutional. that was the worst part of obamacare. we got rid of that and you see what is going on and we are really producing. and except for one vote, remember the one vote? 3:00 in the morning, thumbs down. what a vote that was. what a vote that was. that was some vote. but, despite that, it is going to come out great. we have gotten rid of a lot of obamacare. we will get rid of the rest. we got you the tax cuts. we want every american to know the dignity of work, the pride of a paycheck, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
11:10 am
there is nothing like it. together, we can lift millions of americans from welfare to work, from dependence to independence, and from poverty to prosperity. we are supporting job training and we are supporting vocational schools, right? vocations. i said to the guys -- i said -- these community colleges are wonderful but no one really knows what a community college was. when i was growing up, we had things called vocational schools and i would go to a school and i would be sitting next to a guy -- i never looked at his papers because he did not do well. and on the other side, i would have someone, not too good. but you know what? they could take an engine apart blindfolded and fix it. they could build a brick wall
11:11 am
better than all of the guys in the class together. they could do things that nobody else could do. and nobody knows what a community college is. we are going to start using -- and we had this -- vocational schools where you learn trades and you will do it, and you will love it, and you will make it more money than anything else you can do. right? and those are the people we need in our country right now. we need skilled people and when people come across the border we want to take them in but we want to take them in based on merit and not based on a lottery. lottery. lottery. we want them to come in based on skill and merit so they can love our country, they can help our country, they can do things for our country.
11:12 am
not come in based on some random lottery system. and that will happen. it is all happening. we are going to build new bridges, airports, and highways and waterways all across this magnificent land. and you know what we are doing with your locks? we will do that as soon as i get back. i told your congressman -- write that name down for me. the army corps of engineers. we will be calling them. it could be tonight. it might be tomorrow even though it is a sunday. can i call them on a sunday? your lock is not working too well. it has not been fixed in 50 years, in all fairness. it would be nice to fix it. after spending all of that money in the middle east and we cannot fix a lot. we will get it fixed. we will put new steel into the spine of our country and breath new life and hope into our
11:13 am
beautiful communities. in everything we do in every decision that we make, we will stand up and be proud. we will be proud of america again. we are going to stand up for america. and we are not going to apologize anymore for america. you know, i told you before that we have done a lot, more than anyone in a year. and honestly, it just feels like we have been here a long time together because the fight has been a long fight. but, did you ever think we would have accomplished what we have accomplished in the short period of time? part of the problem the country has and why we are doing so well in wages are going up is because we had regulations which were
11:14 am
staggering. it would take 20 years to get a highway or a roadway approved environmentally. it would take years and years to get the simplest permits. i got rid of those rules and regulations. by the way, we will have crystal clean water. we will have beautiful, clean air. we will be great. we will reject people if they do not have the right project. but projects are not going to take 18 years to get approved. and then in many cases, it is thumbs down after working 18 years. no, we are going to get it done. we are going to stand up for places like detroit that need help. we are going to stand up. and we're going to stand up for great states like michigan and we have done that. this is the state where henry ford invented the assembly line. this is it.
11:15 am
this is the state that gave us motown, the mustang, and the might of the american midwest. it is a great state. it is where generations of proud workers at general motors and chrysler and kellogs transformed our nation and changed the entire world. we were the leader and we are the leader again and everyone is being it. and we have increased the values over the last 16 months tremendously. we are almost twice the size of the next largest economy. remember that. don't forget that. don't forget that. and we are going to be growing very fast. it is time to look past the old divisions, the tired thinking,
11:16 am
the stale debates of the past and come together as one nation under god. one nation under god. >> [cheering] pres. trump: we are one people with one home and one great american destiny. remember what i said. they are looking at us all over the world. when chancellor merkel came in to see me, she said -- congratulations, mr. president. what you have done is incredible with your economy. when the president of france came in to see me, president macron, wonderful guy. we like to shake each other's hand. he is a great guy. and she is terrific. but, you know what? she is from germany. he is from france. i am from the usa. >> [chanting, "usa"]
11:17 am
pres. trump: but when emmanuel came in and when angela came in they said -- amazing. congratulations. what we have done in a short period of time is incredible. regulations. we have cut more regulations in these 15-16 months than any other president has cut in four years, eight years, or as you know, fdr, in one case 16 years and it is not even close. we inherit the legacy of the great americans who constructed the railroads, tamed the frontiers, else the highways,
11:18 am
carved out the panama canal, and put a man on the face of the moon. and by the way, excuse me, do you see how our space program is going? a little different. and we are letting those rich guys that like rockets -- go ahead, pay us some rent. you can use cape canaveral. just pay us rent and spend that money. pretty amazing, right? how about when the engines come down, they come down and they land so they can use them again. that looks like a futuristic, beautiful stuff. we have reinvigorated our space program to a level that nobody thought possible in this short period of time. nasa is back. nasa is back. and mars is waiting for us. you know that.
11:19 am
great. you know what it is? it is great. it is science. it is important. very important militarily. we have the best military. we have the best military in the world. we are going to have a military likes of which no one has ever had. the best we have ever had by far and these are the times when you want to have a very powerful military. you do not want to have to use it but you have to have it. we stand on the shoulders of patriots who poured out their sweat and blood and tears for our country, for our flag, and for our god.
11:20 am
as long as we are proud of who we are, and what we are fighting for, there is nothing beyond our reach. there is nothing. look at what happened to us. here we are. look at what happened to us. you know, a poll came out the other day. rassmussen. i was at 51%. and then they said -- you don't read about that. you don't hear them talking. the fake cnn. have you ever noticed cnn -- well, you know, he is not very popular. they were saying that before the -- the last election victory and now we are higher. they said 51%. and then some genius analyst said -- but he has at least 10% of the people that don't want to say they are voting for him. do you know what i say to that? we will take them anyway. whatever it takes. i do not know if it is an insult or not but you know -- we love those people because those people came out in the last election.
11:21 am
and they said -- don't talk to us. we want to know -- how are you voting? don't talk to us. remember the exit polls? the exit polls. they come out and say --who did you vote for? none of your business. 100%, they were for trump. we love those people. you know, there was a mayor of a certain city -- by the way. by the way. is this better than that phony washington white house correspondent dinner? is this more fun? i could be up there tonight smiling like i love when they are hitting you shot after shot. they hate your guts.
11:22 am
and i am supposed to -- and you know, you have got to smile and if you don't smile, they will say you are terrible and if you do smile, they will wonder what you are smiling at. there is no win. we are proud to be american. and the future belongs to us. the future belongs to all of you. this is our moment. we have never had a moment like this. the economy is raging. our military is strong and getting stronger every single day. we are ordering the greatest equipment in the world. we make the greatest military equipment in the world. look at what happened in syria. boom.
11:23 am
boom. bing. >> [cheering] pres. trump: after the attack, we had to do that. people cannot use gas. frankly, they should not use anything but they cannot drop the gas and it was gas. but you know, when we did it, it came out that they had 23 of our missiles. and then it came out -- 43 missiles. we shot about 110. do you know how many they hit? none. zero. none. do you know how many of our missiles hit their targets? 100%. 100%. and the british and the french were great. great team. a great team. but, this is our chance. we have never had a chance like this. we are taking our country back. you just have no idea. so many people come up to me and say -- thank you, sir.
11:24 am
and i say -- for what? and they say you are taking our country back. so many people say -- thank you, sir. and i always say -- for what? and they say -- sir, you are taking our country back. and it is true. we are all taking our country back. you know, the great state of tennessee, a wonderful congressman -- he came up to me. they have very early voting. he came up to me and the voting had just started. and i was in pennsylvania making a speech. he is the friend of a pennsylvania congressman and they were together in pennsylvania. and he comes up to me and goes -- i was not president. i was just campaigning. with the early voting he says to me -- you know, mr. trump he called me -- i don't know what is happening in the rest of the country.
11:25 am
but, tennessee, early voting. i have been doing this stuff for 25 years and i have never seen anything like it. people that are great americans but they never voted before because they never had anyone that they wanted to vote for. they work hard. they pay taxes. they are coming out of the hills and the valley. they have the red caps on. they have the "make america great" on. i don't know what is happening. but if every place is like tennessee, you are going to win this election, mr. trump. it is true. so true. he said -- i have never seen anything like it. you know what? we are higher now than we were on election day. we are higher now. because now, people are seeing
11:26 am
the results. it is actually easier because people are seeing the results. before, i said -- i am going to do this. i am going to do this. we will have a tax cut and get rid of the individual mandate. judges. regulations. now, i have done it. >> [cheering] pres. trump: someone from the news. said -- trump is one of the only people ever that actually accomplished more than he promised. and it is true. i accomplished. i am a politician, i guess. but i a accomplished more than i promised and i am doing it for you. our great journey together is just beginning. so, with love in our hearts and a hope in our souls i say these words again -- you have heard them before. you have liked them before. we cannot say them too much. he does together, we will make america strong again. together, we will make america wealthy again.
11:27 am
together, we will make america proud again. we will make america safe again. and, we will make america great again. thank you, everybody. thank you. >> [playing: "you can't always get what you want"]
