cabinet. and the people of the united states and small businesses, 30 million small businesses, 99% of them in this country are small businesses. we have helped to them and reimagined sba with a great team i have. they have been great in helping us do everything with great outrage to the community of small businesses. i have traveled all over the country and been to all 50 states and 68 district offices and met with over 800 businesspeople, went to businesses, i have gotten a feel. we talk about optimism, it is probable. businesses are happy and taking their tax cut money and expanding, hiring more people, wage increases, it is incredibly powerful when you're out talking to the businesses. we have had great outreach, more outreach to women entrepreneurs
5:26 am
with projects i have been working on. we took your salary that you donated and we have developed a pilot program for our veterans. i will -- working closely with sonny perdue and the usda to go to the global prosperity order you put in place. i can to you one thing that many people know about this, how we move in when there is a natural disaster. i want to thank you for letting me go with you to houston and puerto rico and my hometown of -- in north carolina where i saw firsthand what it is like when the commander-in-chief is on the ground and the folks know that you are attending to them. i want to thank you again for serving, it has been an honor and privilege, and i want to thank my great team at sba because they are also -- awesom e. pres. trump: i witnessed
5:27 am
firsthand during the hurricanes, and tornadoes, we had vicious ones, we just left alabama and i watched linda and her people help people who needed help quickly and you have been outstanding. we are very, very thrilled at the job you have done. we are staying together. very importantly, we are staying together and will be announcing the next administrator in the near future. we pretty much know who that will be. we will be putting it out there soon. ok? >> who will it be? pres. trump: somebody is very good and we know well and will fit in beautifully. i think somebody you will be very happy with your. >> the attorney general says he will release the mueller reports in full, do you agree and do you
5:28 am
want the white house to look at it? pres. trump: i have great confidence in the attorney general and if that is what he wants to do, i have nothing to hide, this was a hoax, a witchhunt, i have nothing to hide. i think a lot of things are coming out with respect to the other side. i have a lot of confidence in the attorney general. >> will you be talking to president gruden -- putin? pres. trump: we will probably talk at some point, venezuela is a big mess now. the electricity is gone. the power is gone. fuel is gone, gasoline for cars is gone. electric cars are gone because they have no electricity, they have nothing. when we talk about socialism, look at venezuela. i will be talking to a lot of people, perhaps president putin,
5:29 am
perhaps president xi jinping of china. like people are in china negotiating the trade deal and doing very well. . think it is going very well the trade deal is going very well. they are in china right now, the highest level of our people meeting with their people and they will come back here for another round. , detailedmprehensive listing of problems we have had with china over the years. it will have to be a great deal, if it is not, we cannot do it. i think he has done a great job, if you look at syria and a short are working together
5:30 am
very well on the wall and the border and i am upset with been -- theyhave have the strongest immigration laws in the world. we have the worst. we have the weakest and most pathetic, the most laughed at immigration laws, they are democrat laws. i got stuck with them and laws d i got stuck with them. they have a lot of opposition from democrats, not because the democrats do not think they would be right in changing. they do not want to make anybody look good. they do not care if the country suffers. we have brand-new caravans andng up, two big ones mexico could stop them easily. mexico has a trade surplus with the united states for many years .ith $100 billion a year
5:31 am
this is for many years mexico has taken a portion of our card business. mexico is doing well because of the united states and they have to stop the illegal immigration. we have run out of room. we have this catch and release program where you catch and you're supposed to release them. .e have been tough border patrol has been incredible. unbelievable.o is ice, the same thing. and law enforcement. mexico is going to have to do something, otherwise i am closing the border. border would be a process making operation. when you close the border you.
5:32 am
-- you watch the ducks go away. i will close the border if mexico does not get with it. if mexico does not stop it, they come in from guatemala, they come in from hunt doris, they come in from mexico. we are working hard to stop it. we are building the wall but until the well is completed as it is moving along well. we are going to have a news conference shortly after wall as it is being completed. it is moving along rapidly but still we have a current crisis. you can go back 40 years but i can about -- cannot imagine it being worse. custodye died in u.s. in december. do you believe your
5:33 am
administration is equipped to handle that in a way to ensure children are not dying? it has been well stated we have done a fantastic job. one father admitted lame. the other was being brought to the hospital on an emergency basis. it is a tough situation and that trek is a long track -- a long trek. mexico could stop it at their southern border. they have a southern border. they have a border that could be structured. it is easy for them to stop people coming up. we are not going to give them billions of dollars and tell them they are not going to use their strong immigration laws to help united states so there is a likelihood i will close the
5:34 am
border next week and that will be fine. return north korea -- >> i have a good relationship with kim jong-un. we understand each other. they are suffering greatly in north korea. they are having a hard time and i did not think additional sanctions were necessary. i did not think additional sanctions at this time were necessary. they are suffering greatly. because of their relationship, relationship being a good thing, it is important you maintain that relationship as long as you can. we get along well. we have a good understanding so i did not think those sanctions were necessary.
5:35 am
not at all. they were intended to go. people thought they would go at that time. i decided i would not let it happen. it is like the special olympics. for many years, it has not been approved. somehow it gets negotiated in congress. you're going to have funding for the special olympics. it is a similar situation with different parties. i want to thank the job you have done. linda has been so great. when somebody does that good of i would rather do it this way than faith divide. linda mcmahon is a special person and she is going to work with me hard so we keep this miracle we have felt -- built.
5:36 am
you saw in michigan -- if they would reported. many thousands of people outside of the arena, that arena was asked and it was tremendous love in that arena. look what is happening with michigan and ohio and pennsylvania and so many places, you look at what is going on, places. many different new hampshire i have reports of something we did in new hampshire. ofare the hottest country the world economically and that is going to stay that way for a long time to come. thank you very much. daniel neuhauser reports on congress. he joins us for a look at the week ahead.
