The O Reilly Factor FOX News May 29, 2016 1:00am-2:01am PDT
men and women in uniform twho gave nair lives to protect the nation. i want to thank so many of the veterans including my dad and monday. the o'reilly factor is on. tonight... >> the most fascinating presidential campaign of this generation. >> we're altogether going to make america great again, folks. >> donald trump setting his sights on hillary clinton and taking on tough foreign policy questions. >> okay. >> and we're going to keep the oil. not give it out through the back door. >> we have a full hour with mr. trump. he sat down with the factor last june. >> i have been dealing with politicians all my life. >> we're going to win, win, win.
hi, i'm bill o'reilly, thanks for watching this special edition of "the factor", the trump phenomenon. we're focused on discussions i have had with donald trump here on the factor since his announcement of running for the presidency. it has been a whirl wind campaign. mr. trump tapped into the fury being felt by millions of republican voters. we begin in indiana after winning the primary. >> i want to congratulate ted. i know how tough it is. it is tough. i have had moments where it was not looking so good and it's not a great feeling. and so i understand how ted feels. >> for months it was lyin' ted.
what happened? >> he was a great competitor and it worked out. we had an amazing day in indiana and a tremendous victory and he competed hard and tough. so i respect ted. >> marco rubio saying good things good you and he may have been in the sun too much. you know, he's in miami and it's hot. would you consider rubio as vp? . >> i don't want to talk too much about it. i'm considering a number of people and we do have a really good, and i would consider him. >> you would? okay. >> but we do have a lot of candidates. >> with this campaign slogan be
vote for big don and little marco? no? >> no. it would be vote to make america great again. you know what happened when cheney got to be vice president. that possible here? >> ben is a terrific guy. he's a friend of mine. he gave me a warm endorsement early on. he's been so helpful, he was making calls and making speeches, doing a lot of television. he's a terrific guy. dr. ben carson, a terrific guy. >> before you get to cleveland you're going to try to consolidate the republican establishment report by doing the following. appointing rudy giuliani the homeland security chief and
appointing ben carson as huge and human services chief. >> i have not made that decision, but they'd be popular and i think they do a phenomenal job. all three would be very good choices and very good positions. >> it's the timing of that. would you do it before you win it? so you'd have a squad? >> i like the idea of doing some of this. >> tone. tone. if history is a barometer, are you going to respond to that?
if hillary clinton takes the high road and doesn't do that? if she wants to go the high road, i would be fine with that. >> you're fine with the low road. most people don't want to go on the low road. >> i have to handle it if i have to do it. >> okay. >> unfortunately, children who are seen demonstrating against you in california, roll tape on this. that was in fort wayne, indiana. what do you think about that? >> the parents ought to be
ashamed, frankly. you have to go in the back way. because they disrupted outside and they were threatening. i think you're going to have to deal with that stuff. have you thought about how you're going to deal with people that get overly aggressive? >> i think we'll deal with it just fine. that was not a big deal. i went in, i did a speech, i went out. that is for the republican committee. i did that. that would have been one of my events. but it was, i've been not a big deal other than there are helicopters all over the place following me. i left the plane. i was in a van and we're being followed by helicopters. the fact is that that is not really a big deal. >> all right. >> all right. >> next up, donald trump
you won't see these folks at the post office. >> all right. >> next up, donald trump they have businesses to run. they have passions to pursue. how do they avoid trips to the post office? stamps.com mail letters, ship packages, all the services of the post office right on your computer. get a 4 week trial, plus $100 in extras including postage and a digital scale. go to stamps.com/tv and never go to the post office again.
welcome back to our factor special. in the impact segment tonight, donald trump is setting his seeths on hillary clinton. i spoke with him about the secretary. >> this is what you've accomplished here, has never been done before. in this country. i mean, you, a political outsider, with no legislative experience, wipe out 17 experienced politicians, ben carson the exception, wipe them out. you're saying i shouldn't be surprised? and folks shouldn't be surprised? you're surprised. >> you know, is it's about jobs and the economy. a strong military. >> you're not surprised you're
going to be the nominee? when you started out? you must have said this is a long shot but i'm going to could it anyway. >> my message is make america great again. from the moment announced on june 16th, it was well accepted. and right after that, shortly, a few weeks after we went to number one. we've been center stage, as you know. and i don't know. i've seen so many people, so many millions of people. this country is great. we have phone shall and we're not using it. my opponent, as you know, because you've reported it, i've had 55,000 negative ads and i
won florida. >> and i -- >> they don't care. they don't care. >> what you have managed to do is inoculate yourself to all of that negativity by being a unique presence. look, whether you like trump or not, you don't have to listen. i'm just going to talk to the audience viktly. whether you like him or not, what he's done is unique. it's never been done before. he spoke directly to the people who went around the press. and he won. now, i'm back to you. you've got more work. 65% of americans are not in the will house. >> now, you know it's been a very tough battle with 17 people.
and i was being hit from every angle on every side. i had to be very tough coming back. there is no question. in cases i had to be nasty. now, it looks like we're in good shape to go to the end and take on crooked hillary. and i think we're going to win. >> i look at new york state. it's a disaster. and i think i'll win new york. that would be a -- >> so it's not going to be a kinder, gentler donald trump in the one on one race. do you believe that when you go
after hillary clinton, they've had personal problems in the white house, are you going to dredge that up? >> i hope not. i don't look to. i would like to be able to keep that out if possible. >> if they don't come after, you're not going to come after them personally? >> i would say that. when you say i'll be trouble with her, they're going to be tough with me. they're going into different things. i am what i am. i've done well. i built a great company. i filed papers for the great company, everybody can see it. i built an amazing company and frankly, there is some of the
greatest in the world. >> here is what is likely to happen. >> i mean -- >> she's got nasty pieces of work on her table. and these are the worst, these guys. i don't want to mention their names. you know who they are. they're going to do it. they're going to come after you. >> i've known them 20 years. >> right. >> so and and they do that. are you going to then come back in kind and drag up and. >> and and that seems to be
where it's going right now. now, that is not fair. you don't think you're dangerous. do you? >> no. i don't. i think i'm going to put the country back to work again. >> and when she goes off and says donald trump is dangerous and is doing all things to minorities, and he doesn't liket enough to set you back where you go after her person? >> they'd be lies. because that is not true. i think you understand that. >> coming up, mr. trump in a lightning round of questions. >> i would be willing to bet i would have a great relationship with people. >> based on appeal. okay? appeal. appeal to people.
tonight getting to know donald trump. back in june, 2015 trump announced he was running for president and you just tell me and this there is tremendous popularity in russia. they love what he's doing. >> so we have a president who is absolutely, you look at him, chemistry is so bad between those people. i was in moscow two years ago. and i will tell you, you can get along with those people and get along with them well, you can make deals with those people. >> you can make a deal with putin? >> i would be willing to bet i would have a great relationship
with putin. >> based on what? i mean, based on? >> based on a feel. >> come on. >> bush didn't have the iq. >> you aputin. >> i would be able to get along. i think i'd have a good relationship and it's important for this country to do that. and one of the things that i heard for years and years, never drive russia and china together. and isis? >> i will hit them so hard, i will find the proper general, i would hit them so hard, your head would spin. i have a way that would be very effective but when i watch obama get up and talk about it, two weeks of doing this, three weeks
we're doing that. >> american ground troops in to chase them around? >> take back the oil. they have nothing. >> you have to go in. >> you bomb the hell out of them, then, encircle it, then, you go in. you get mobile go in and great oil companies go in. once you take that oil they have nothing left. >> would you make a nuke deal with iran? >> i would make a deal but not that deal. that allows them to do whatever they want. inspections are going to be a disaster, as sure as you're sitting there, they're going nuclear. you've got to put on sanctions big deal and make a deal from strength. look. the biggest problem the world has is nuclear weapons. our big problem is the maniacs controlling weaponry. it's never been like it is
today. once they have the weapon, hillary don't have the strength anymore. >> the problem with sanctions is that you don't have cooperation. >> you have to get them to work with us. you have an obama that wants to play golf. part of being a leader is to get everybody in line. >> i've made a fortune in foreign countries. >> i laughed when you said you're going to build a giant wall and mexicans are going to pay for it. >> the mexicans are the new china. >> they're not going to pay for the wall. >> you have to let me deal with that. okay? they are ripping us badly. >> i'll charge for the products coming into this country. mexico is living off the united states. >> you can try to strangle them economically unless they pay for the wall? >> mexico will start behaving.
mexico is not our friend. >> or you'll break them economically? >> they will not be thrilled. and china, the power we have is that we have rebuilt china. they've taken our jobs and manufacturing and everything from us. we owe china $1.3 trillion. they charge us tariffs. we don't charge them. the largest bank in the world is under this floor. >> china is going to have to okay you destroying mexico and okaying you putting a tariff on china. >> bill? >> do you think you're going to get it through? >> absolutely.
i've been dealing with politicians all my life. they're all talk, no action. they're controlled by donors and special interests. when i tell somebody to do something, i'm not going to get a lobbyist calling me saying don't do that. i've been going through them all my life. this building was supposed to be 18 stories tall and it's 68 stories deal. i deal with politicians. >> like putin, you're going to be able to make congress your friend, too? >> i think so. >> all right. >> now, let's turn to domestic issues. the reason we have incoming equality, you make an enormous amount of money is because you're very well educated. in harlem, you have bad parents in terrible public schools.
>> big problem, the african american kids are in worse shape now than they've ever been and we have a black president. this not supposed to happen. you have to create incentives for people to work. have you to create jobs and we have to create the kind of a economy where people are making more money than doing nothing. >> but that is the federal government creation. have you to get the private sector to do that. >> you can still you'll yat through incentives. >> to make the kids learn in school? what incentive? >> you've been saying it. you need parents. nothing like parents. it's a huge problem. i sit down with the best and brightest. we have a president that should have been focused on this and sure he cares about it, but did a poor job. if you're an african american youth now you're in worse shape than ever were in the history of the country. >> the culture is driving that.
>> the tough culture. all of my life. all talk, no action and controlled by donors and lobbyists. >> next up, talking global terrorism with donald trump. >> i've been saying for a long time, i'd rather be unpredictable. >> later how will donald trump do with the woman's vote? >> nobody respects women more than i do. i killed everybody with the women. the women cave out in droves. >> stay tuned for the reports.
>> now, in the unresolved problem segment, global terror and how to deal with it as commander in chief. i spoke with donald trump about that. >> what will you do about afghanistan? >> i would stay in afghanistan. it's adjacent and next to pakistan, which has nuclear weapons. so you have to stay and do the best you can. we should have probably gone there, first. i'd stay in afghanistan. and only, again, because of location next to pakistan.
>> so you keep 10,000 troops there and find a war of attrition against the taliban? pakistan, i hate doing it. i hate doing it so much. but you have nuclear weapons and owe so i would do it. >> pakistan is no friend to the usa. the doctor that helped us, they put him in prison. do you think you can get that doctor out? >> yes. i do. i think i would get him out in two minutes. i would tell them, let them out and they would let him out. they don't have respect for the president. when you say they take advantage, nobody is a friend to us. they take us like a bunch of suckers, bill. >> we talked about isis in june. when you were just launching your campaign. >> i would hit them so hard your head would spin. >> give me a headliner. >> i can't.
i can't. i'm not going to give it to you now. >> i've been saying for a long time are, i'd rather be unpredictable. >> yes. and demanding they'll be there tomorrow. but i didn't want to say keep the oil, bomb the oil. they're sending it out. and are becoming richer and richer. you know, i didn't want to say that, either. but in our country, with the system that we have, you have to start saying you do. the problem when you say that, are giving them a lot of ideas. >> but there is an implication to your policy. and if i'm wrong, you need to tell me. >> if i say you're going to bomb
those oil fields so they'd be useless to isis, would i be wrong in thinking that as a voter? >> i will say i know exxon mobile, and many great oil companies can get in there. it's amazing how quickly. >> but they can't defeat these isis people. you have to take american ground troops. >> we'll have to bomb and get people in the region or just bomb and keep the oil for years. >> to get the oil, that is going to require america's special forces, paratroopers. you're saying you're going to send in ground troops to defeat isis. no? >> no. we're going to use our so called
allies. we don't have such great allies between us and the rest of the world. in theory, we say we'll use our allies. and so we give them beautiful humvees and the first shot is fired in the air and they start running. we should have never gone to iraq. when we got out, we should have kept the oil. >> correct me if i am wrong. it sounds to me like president donald trump will use ground troops to seize oil. >> two, i would try to use other people if possible. they don't seem to have the capability. >> we've got to get the oil. >> right. >> they've got a lot of wealth through banking channels.
you have glow in the dark banking channels. people don't know bit. but the oil is the main thing. cutoff the oil. and we're going to keep the oil. >> coming up, trump talks about his pledge to appoint judges to the supreme court. >> i will appoint judges that will be pro-life. >> yes. >> then, wattters world hits the streets to find out how people feel about the trump phenomenon. >> how did you feel about donald trump on snl? >> he was great. >> i thought he made an
. thanks for staying with us. continuing now with our factor special, we spoke with donald trump, and that conversation included roe v. wade. we started with how he would choose the vice president. >> you say the associated press is reporting trump narrowed potential vps to five, not ruling out chris christie.
is that accurate? >> i think they're excellent. at the convention. >> can you give me one? >> i'd love to give you all five. >> not even fair to you. >> it's fair to owe viewers and me. you're in charge. you can do it. >> so i'm oud. you said experienced politician, i'm out. i'm gone. >> no. no. >>, i don't take orders well. >> that is the problem. >> let me get to elizabeth warren. out of nowhere, she's calling you names. what do you think that is about? so she's a senator that has done nothing. she just talks and she's put in things and gotten nothing
approved. she was not highly respected. the, as you know, the previous senator, a big supporter of mine, scott brown is somebody that gave me a lot of information about her and she has had a big failed record and all of a sudden started tweeting violently about me. every tweet is about trump, trump, trump. i hit her back very hard. >> why is she doing it? why do you think she's taking the time? >> because she sees polls i'm going to beat hillary. she'd like to make sure democrats win. there are polls taken by people that show me beating hillary fairly easily. now, she has, i've never seen, she went on a twitter rant that was sort of amazing. so i tweeted and i haven't heard from her since. >> i have a question from a
viewer. diane ranke from maryland. donald trump says he's pro-life. ask him to name one specific thing he would do to protect the sanctity of human life. can you? >> well, i think that what we're doing, and it's a very important element in what i have done, i've become pro-life. i was in a meek fashion, pro-choice. but i've become pro life. i've seen in my case, one situation but numerous situations that have made me to go that way. i will protect it. and the biggest way to protect it is through the supreme court and putting people in the court. >> you're going to get a judge that would overturn roe v. wade? that is what you're --
>> i'm going to put conservative judges on. i think one of the biggest things happening is that as many as five judges could be appointed so we're talking about five judges and i think probably the most important thing one of the -- one of the most important things is going to be appointment of 4 to 5 supreme court justices. i'll be doing that. >> diane's question is answered. your specific thing would be appointing a supreme court justice that would overturn roe v. wade. do i have it? >> they'll be pro life and we'll see about overturning. i'll appoint judges that will be pro life. >> okay. >> coming up, we'll take a look at donald trump, hillary clinton and womens' vote. p?p?h
our special continues now. throughout his campaign, we have heard about the impact of the womens vote. i discussed that with mr. trump. >> for you to say if you were not a women suggesting the only thing she has going for her is she's a woman? >> that is the only thing she's got going. she's done a terrible job. you look at libya, and look at the things she's done, just absolutely disastrous. i would say the primary thing she has going is that she's a woman and she's playing that card like i have never seen anybody play it before.
>> she's saying the woman card. that is it. >> what about give me a break. she raises her voice more than i raise mine. >> what about this sexism thing? any time i criticize a woman, i'm accused of being sexist and if i criticize african american in any way, i'm a racist. and any time you criticize hillary clinton you're a sexist. are you ready for that? >> i'm going to bring jobs back to this country. i see it at the alleys.
the women came out in droves. i won virtually every category. i won landslides. i won with women in just about every other group. >> okay. you got about 10 million votes since the primaries began. that is why and said you're unstoppable. that is my opinion. i'm always right. however, you need 153 million votes. so the republican primaries, have selected you.
153 million americans you have to persuade them to vote for you. you're going to have to have a shield to come back. >> i think in my mind i do. i haven't been focused on it yet. 17 people, and 16 came at me, governors and senators and very smart people. people like dr. ben carson and chris christie. they were all coming at me. and then, i'll focus on hillary. i will win against hillary. i'm going to have a stronger military. you look at the subgroups and women are going to go through trump. they want security, safety. they want to have women health
issues. i don't know if she can run. i watch you all the time. i don't know how she gets by that problem when so many peoples' lives have been ruined. so i call her crooked hillary. i think beating her will be easier than beating some of the people i have just run against in terms of this. she has a record that is terrible and a lot of problems. i don't know she's going to be able to run. nobody's running. >> a waters world trump edition, don't miss it. >> what is your favorite step of the night? >> i like the monologue when he first got on. >> they don't have my talent,
tonight, watters world, the trump edition. trump appeared on "saturday night live" so watters hit the streets to find out what people thought about the performance. >> did you see trump on snl? >> we did. >> he needs to call me on the cell phone ♪ >> did you know trump can dance like that? >> he had lessons. >> i learned how to do the cha cha cha.
>> i think trump did it better than obama. >> i thought it was ridiculous and not funny at all. >> you're fired. >> what did you think about trump on snl? >> i thought he made an ass of himself. >> not everybody can be as funny as bill o'reilly on snl. >> sure. >> what was your favorite sketch of the night? >> i liked the monologue with the two guys flanking him. >> they don't have my talent, money, or especially my good looks. >> i brought you a check for t. >> biggest ratings in four years. >> i believe it. >> yes. i watched it. i don't usually watch snl. >> surely, you can't be surus. >> i am serious and don't call me shirley.
>> what did you think when larry david came out and heckled him? >> i thought it was great. >> trump is a racist. >> would you have said that for $5,000. >> all kidding aside. you're excited to see melania as first lady possibly? >> why not? i like the accent. >> that is not all you like. >> i'm about to rock this place down. >> how is hillary going to top that? >> she needs her own video. >> the clintons should do "wife swap". >> did you like the drunk uncle on weekend update? >> oh, my gosh. >> someone is saying the thing i have been thinking. >> in puerto rico we've got a saying that drunk people tell you the truth. >> completely accurate. >> do you guys think that helps or hurts trump's campaign? >> it helped.
>> helped a little. >> somebody else it would hurt. if it was rudy giuliani or bush, probably would have ruined them. but trump? this rolls right off of them. >> great. great. >> do you think you're now less likely to vote for trump? >> i will never vote for him. >> you don't want to make america great again? >> i will not vote for anyone on snl. >> do you ever watch watters world? >> no. >> i'm watters and this is my rule. >> hi o'reilly, i'm a huge fan. you keep it real. >> and that is it for us tonight. thanks for watching this special edition of "the factor".
remember the spin stops here. we are definitely looking out for you. break. thank you for being with us. best luck. go big or go home. could donald trump be too big for the republican national convention? i am patty ann brown in for julie banderas and this is it the fox report. new tonight, sources inside of the trump come pain are telling fox news that the presumptive nominee is is looking into giving his nomination address in a large sports stadium. one that is far bigger than the quicken sports arena. none of this is set in stone. but trump said he wanted to add more excitement to the republican national convention. plenty of excitement on the
