5:30 am
and their respective party leaders, reviewing results from the 14 discrepant precinct caucuses. since only five of the one- thousand-681 caucuses were found to have reporting errors, no recount will be done. lukas and the two democrats will debate next month in flint, michigan. that debate will air on c-n-n. flint was thrown into the national spotlight after it was discovered that the city's water supply has been contaminated with lead for months. sanders and clinton have both addressed the issue on the campaign trial. sanders has called for the resignation of michigan governor rick synder ... clinton has argued the crisis was ignored -- in part -- because the city is poor and its residents largely african- american. the former secretary of state also says she has had experience as governor with lead poisoning in old housing in the state of new york. "and part of the challenge is you've got to intervene early. we need comprehensive health screenings. then we need to figure out how do we get the right nutrition and vitamin. you gotta begin to work to counteract the lead."

"there's not been really any change at all in the feeling of the neighborhood other than it's kind of exciting." sanders is the fourth presidential candidate to receive secret service protection during this campaign cycle. democratic front-runner hillary clinton already has a secret service detail because of her status as a former first lady. republican presidential hopefuls donald trump and ben carson began receiving protection last fall. lukas republican presidential candidate senator ted cruz gave his "three keys to reigniting the promise" speech to a standing- room-only crowd at a town hall in new hampshire yesterday... in front of one of his biggest crowds to date in the state. cruz used the opportunity to rail on his opponents who supported drafting women into combat, blaming the answer on dangerous "political correctness."
