that means mardi gras is well underway. and for those of you who've had the chance to celebrate mardi gras in "naw-lins" it's probably something you'll never forget that is if you even remember any of it in the first place. but besides the parades and all the eating and drinking, one tradition that's still is going strong is eating something called a king cake. let me show you our easy version. all we do is separate each biscuit from a package of refrigerated biscuits into three pieces. once they are, we dip each piece into some melted butter before placing them in a pie plate coated with cinnamon sugar. after each layer goes down, we sprinkle on even more cinnamon sugar until all the dough is used up. and if there is any leftover butter, drizzle that on top. it's customary to hide a small plastic baby inside the cake before baking it, but we think it's a lot more practical and safer to use a gumdrop instead. i'll tell you the story behind that tradition in a minute. once it's baked, we finish it

( kenneth standup close) the latest polls have been up and down but trump and sanders have kept consistent leads here in new hampshire. the candidates have already started to turn their attention to next weekend's south carolina primary. kenneth moton, abc news washington lukas: we are learning more about the sioux city teen who shot a police officer sunday morning at a northside apartment complex now, we have the identity of that officer... officer ryan moritz has been treated and released from the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg ... also ... new deils about what happened during the incident including how the shooter isiah mothershed injured himself and pulling out the gun while being handcuffed ... mothershed also not a stranger to the law ... as several arrestes were made including 3 minors. eight people total were arrested in connection to a string of armed robberies in sioux city. according to court documents the group was taken into custody for allegedly playing roles in several incidents throughout the past two weeks.

pipeline is again infront of the iowa utilities board. deliberations have begun in des moines... reviewing a permit request to build the pipeline, that would diagonally cut across the state of iowa. board members reviewed pros and cons of the pipeline's implementation, including climate change and job creation. david lynch & cecil wright- general counsel iowa utlities board rather than consider for each factor separately, does this promote the puic convenience and neccessity, is it against it, and take them into isolation. i really think that the better approach is to take them all together at the end and decide how much weight each one is entitled to in your
