program history. welcome into the ford wrapup. and what a rivalry weekend it has been. headlined by the game, which lived up to the hype and then some. even if it left one coach bitterly disappointed. especially since we saw the first ever overtime between michigan and ohio state in their 113-game history. it was in front of a record-setting crowd at the shoe on pins and needles until the very last snap. ohio state tied it up to force o.t. first and goal, j.t. keeps it himself. barrett, 125 yards rushing in the game. fourth and goal. wilton speigh. in double o.t., ohio state going for it. barrett gets the first down. jim harbaugh thinks it's short. saying postgame he was bitterly disappointed in the officiating. they reviewed the play, and the call stood. the very next play.

cory clement with his second rushing touchdown of the day. wisconsin wins 31-17 to notch their third straight ten-win season. to the iron bowl. number 13, auburn taking on number one alabama. third quarter. jalen hurts finds stewart who does the rest. alabama didn't allow a touchdown the entire month of november. up next, they have florida in the s.e.c. championship game. south carolina, number four clemson. deshaun watson finds mike williams inside the ten. and williams carries a defender on his back, into the e clemson rolls, 56-7, to clinch their fourth 11-win season in the last five years. number nine colorado taking on number 22 utah. utah down 20-16. joe williams stripped and takes it into the end zone. colorado wins 27-22 to get its first ever pac-12 south title. they will face washington in the pac-12 title game. so, with the buffs win, usc's chances at the title game are lost, but they haven't done much

touchdown, kickoff return touchdown and testreceiving td the game. now, while it's been a day filled with surprises, controversy, disappointment and elation on the field, the day started with a few headlines filled with emotion off the field, as we saw three big names in coaching get fired, get hired and stay put. charlie strong, fired after going 16-21 in three seasons at texas. he's being replaced by tom herman, who went houston. and at lsu, the interim tag has been removed from ed sporgeron. louisville and kentucky. kentucky wins it 41-34. lamar jackson, four total tds, but three picks and a frun ch time fumble in the loss. and college football can't stop, won't stop. wyoming has already clinched the

on 380 kills two and hurts two police officers. we have the story of a couple who tried to help. a group in waterloo says the city didn't do enough to save a dog's life. they demanded answers during a protest this afternoon. you're watching kcrg-tv9. now, from your 24 hour news source, this is kcrg-tv9 news at 10 . " officer struck up on the interstate. pd southbound. " this crash on i-380 in cedar rapids killed two and sent two officers to the hospital. it happened around 3 this morning. police had to block traffic for hours. authorities say a patrol car was sitting by the southbound 1st avenue west exit. it was doing traffic control following a minor crash that had happened earlier. that's when another vehicle hit

but the two in the other vehicle were dead when emergency crews arrived. kcrg-tv9's phil reed spoke with a couple who saw the whole thing happen. matt langguth and his girlfriend chelsey merchant were on 380 heading home from a night out when they saw the deadly crash. "right before they hit, i seen them kind of spin out of control kinda. like they were going towards the guard rail, then over corrected and went straight into the officer's vehicle " they immediately got off on the next exit to turn around and checked on the people in the car that hit police "i tried breaking the window out with my foot, with my foot. i couldn't break the window out, so i asked the officer for the night stick. the officer came and broke out the back window on the driver's side. and i crawled through the back windows, and when i crawled through the back windows, i saw the two bodies " langguth says there wasn't anything they could do to help them "you couldn't see the guy very well. he was for sure dead. and

could tell they wasn't alive " police and firefighters stayed throughout the morning re-routing traffic as crews worked to clear the scene. while this couple tries to clear their mind from saturday morning. "it's just something really you are never going to forget. and just kind of realizing how fast things can happen in the blink of an eye " police gave us an updated earlier this evening. involved had minor injuries. as of around six, one had been released from the hospital. police won't release names of the victims until families are notified. a group of people want answers from the city of waterloo and animal control after they say an abused dog died. protesters say the city didn't do enough. kcrg-tv9's samantha myers has the story.

" "speaking for animal control, the city attorney said officers visited the home multiple times. they saw there was food and shelter and have seen vet records for the pet. these protesters aren't buying it. 22:58:04;10 "there's more than enough evidence that this dog died emaciated, hungry, cold and starving. i don't care what age the dog is none of them deserve to die from starvation. the photos that you see on these signs are of the dog we don't know what happened to him after that. " " "thirty minutes into the protest animal control and waterloo police showed up at the home telling protesters they were going to search the home. they had to wait two hours for the owner to arrive before officials looked through the home. protesters who stayed on scene say police did not find

on sunday, but clouds will be on the increase as a warm front lifts to the north from missouri. widespread rain will become likely in the late afternoon and early evening hours across eastern iowa. rain will persist through sunday night, with more showers possible on monday as the cold front sweeps through. a few thunderstorm s are also possible, but severe weather is not expected. the system responsible for our active weather will stall out to our north, keeping us in a cloudy pattern through most of the upcoming week. small chances for showers or flurries will exist mainly north of highway 20. tonight: mostly clear. wind: s 5-10 low: 32 alo: 31 dbq: 31 iow: 33 29 to 35 back to you. the u-s army corps of engineers where a large group of bakken oil pipeline protestors are camping. the chairman of the standing rock sioux tribe says he got a letter from the corps yesterday. it says authorities will close land north of the cannonball river after december 5th.

a protest organizer says many people are building shelters and plan to stay put. the pipeline is set to go through four states including iowa. protesters are worried the line will contaminate drinking water and disrupt native lands. at least 33 pipeline protesters are facing criminal trespass charges. police responded just before one o'clock, yesterday afternoon, to a report of about 100 protesters at the kirkwood mall. that's in bismarck, north dakota. police say ml leave the private property. officers arrested those who didn't cooperate. the cedar rapids police department is putting out a call for help. it's looking for new officers. the department is accepting applications through january 12th. the hiring process takes months to complete. an agility test and written exam happen on february 4th. polygraph screenings and tests through mid- march. you can download applications from the pd's website or you can pick them up at police headquarters.

part in pushing for recounts in several key states. in a post on "medium", campaign officials also said they had not found any evidence of hacking of voting systems. that comes after green party candidate jill stein filed for a recount in wisconsin, yesterday. president-elect donald trump won that state. stein has raised millions of dollars for recounts and plans to file in other states. trump responded today with a statement. it said in part, "this is a scam by the green party for an conceded, and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused, which is exactly what jill stein is doing." the death of fidel castro is getting a lot of reaction from around the world. some are condolences. others are celebrations. today, many cuban americans are hoping castro's death will help the communist nation move toward democracy. abc's jim ryan has the details.

of black friday shoppers, today was certainly calmer. but, still, millions were out shopping for the holidays at the smaller stores. small business saturday started six years ago as an effort to get more people spending holiday dollars at local businesses. many businesses throughout eastern iowa

raygun. the shop in cedar rapids saw a bunch of people today. workers there say it was double the amount of customers compared to an average saturday. while online shopping continues to get more popular, one raygun employee says a day like this proves people still value shopping in person. "it gives me a sense of community. people want to come out to support us, support local businesses. and it just shows that the internet is not taking over with all the cyber deals. people are still willing to come out and shop " more than 95 million people participated in small business saturday last year. that's up 8 percent from 2014. the next day to buy-- cyber monday. amazon is one of the biggest companies planning to offer big-time deals. it will roll out more than 75-thousand sales in two days. also, some other deals out there on monday--trave l deals.
