"yea, you're right. they had

play, which i didn't see coming. akrum wadley with the jump cut of justice for a 75-yard touchdown to get iowa rolling. and then, leshun daniels, they ran a fullback iso, brady ross got a nice block. those three plays kind of keyed the first half. and then in the second half, i think they had two scoring plays of 12 and 14 yards. so, i think offensive line and defensive line were on display." a big thing that happened surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season. this is a guy who started as a true freshman and has dealt with a lot of injuries. what was it like to see him surpass that mark? "i love what boone myers said. he said, 'i don't want to diss akrum, but today was leshun's day." it was senior day, his last game at kinnick. he goes over 1,000 yards and is the first guy to do that since marcus coker in 2011. but boone did

only 34 yards short of 1,000 yards. this is a team that might finish with two 1,000 yard rushers. that's an amazing stat, first time in school history. leshun daniels, you look at last year, he lost basically the entire season after suffering a high ankle sprain at iowa state. really cool for him to get this off. to me, even in the worst of times last year, when we talked to him, he was a really nice guy, kept his perspective." what do you think, holiday or music city bowl? "right now, i think holiday. i think iowa won its way up. i think a team like minnesota with a comparable record is an attractive team for music city. but it's all pecking order and holiday would be ahead of it. for me, personally, i think iowa needs a good matchup. i don't know if iowa fans want to see christian mccaffrey

that. too soon, too soon, josh. nobody wants to see that again. i'm not sure if i can stomach a week of brett bielema and arkansas storylines. just don't want them. i think those are two teams that are too similar. having covered kirk ferentz and bobby stoops in a insight bowl in 2011, neither of those guys had fun. ferentz has always been he doesn't like fry guys." well, we'll find out next week where iowa will be bowling sometime in the next month. marc morehouse kind enough to join me for the sunday night spotlight. we'll be right back, stay with tv9.
