authorities say a personal dispute caused causeda shooting at an event center in clive that killed two people and injured two others. 29-year-old johnny jackson died at the scene - and 44-year-old kevin hall died on the way to a des moines hospital early monday morning. as many as 60 people were in the parking lot of the 7 flags event center.about 250 attended an event that was held there on sunday.right now - no suspects have been identified. overnight - president obama has laos for his next stop in his trip around asia. asia.the president announced the u-s has pledged 90-million dollars for a three year project to help clear the country of millions of unexploded bombs.right now -- there are 80 milliion left over from a secret bombing campaign as part of the vietnam war.they still kill or severly injure around 50 people every year. the white house has cancelled the president's meeting with philippines' president rodrigo duterte after he lashed out at

today - the linn county board of supervisors will take their next step in approving a potential wage hike. hike.cbs 2 news told you last week the board approved a first reading of a proposal proposalthat would bump the wage to 10-twenty-five an hour by 20-19.this is video from that meeting.this morning at nine -- the board will vote on their second consideration of the new ordinance.if it passes today -- the proposal would still neeto more time next tuesday for it to pass.we'll be at the meeting - be sure to catch the cbs 2 news at noon to see how the board voted. another eastern iowa county is now looking at the minimum wage.lee county supervisors will discuss the issue at their meeting tonight after a raise the wage group had asked them to consider it.lee county is where fort madison and keokuk are -- and they join a growing number of counties starting to look at raising the minimum wage -- including

county will close starting toda. today.if your morning commute involves the highway 965 bridge on the iowa river - you'll want to find an alternate route. route.that's because this morning - crews will begin construction on the bridge - fully closing it down.the road has been reduced to one lane for the past few months.crews will work to replace the bridge deck.the project is expected to be completed by the end of november. a third death has now been associated with hermine -- while the storm moves along the east coast. coast.it happened a 30-year-old man was trying to remove a tree that fell on a highway in south carolina and he was hit by a car.he died a day later.people in north carolina and florida were killed before then. hermine hit florida as a category one hurricane before weakening as it moved across ge. georgia.hurricane newton is threatening some parts of baja california in mexico.the storm's center is expected to hit the area this morning. a bus carrying about 40 marines burst into flames on the interstate monday.
