essential city council members have approved a plan to transform the downtown area in a major transportation hub. city officials say they would be linked to offices and shops and hp pavilion and the ballpark. it includes the station with caltrain and amtrak. and expected future arrival of bart extension would make a unique destination hub. city staff is moving forward

show you the winds and how fast they are blowing. not only here but down in santa cruz. it doesn't seem to bother these folks. great time to be at the beaches. thanks a lot guys for getting that shot. i know it's a little difficult at times. you see the fast moving nature of the clouds but most of those are over our ocean. let's talk about our beaches. we have a gale warning for winds gusting to 25-30 knots and also small craft advisory for the san pablo, san francisco and monterey bay, from 3:00 until 9:00. we have an airport warning from 1:00 to 8:00 for those same winds. it could make for bumpy landings. winds are gusting around 20 in most areas, up to 23 in san jose 32 in fairfield. right now, sfo is one of slower spots at 14. temperatures were running in the
mid-50s around oakland and half moon bay. everybody else in the upper 50s to low 60s. around the monterey bay, 56 in monterey. gilroy, 59. everybody else in the low to mid 50s. highlight sunshine and breezy this afternoon. warming trend begins tomorrow and it will be warmer than average especially away from the coast as we try to make up for a really cool april. let's start for the day, upper 50s to low 70s. peninsula, mid to upper 50s. we will be around 60 in half moon bay. 59 in daly city. mid-50s in downtown san francisco. up through the north bay, mid-50s to low 70s. mid to upper 60s along east bay shore with warmer upper 60s to low 70s in the east bay valleys. everybody else, low to mid-70s as you a head inland. a's are back in town.
60 dropping down to 53 degrees. temperatures not as cool this morning with low to mid 40s in the north bay valleys. mid to upper 40s for the rest of us. cold front that moved through, it's out of here but the breezy conditions are going to hang around today and probably through early tomorrow. once they move on out, this high pressure moves in and it brings us the warmer weather. some of that starts today. you can really feel the warmth except if you are heading to the mountains. that is where it's going to remain cool and lake level mid 40s in tahoe. look at sunday, warmest day, mid-50s at the coast, mid-70s around the bay and 80 inland. tuesday and wednesday, thursday of next week could be even warmer than that. >> we've been waiting for it. >> thank you. >> we'll be right back. ntnw
