august 5th, what we saw the first week of july when the contract was extended but we only have two weeks to go. if they cannot agree we will have another strike. they are arguing over pay, pension, health insurance, and safety concerns and they are this time around keeping the specifics of the discussion quiet but two week should be enough time to reach an agreement. >> the bicyclist who fatally hit an elderly pedestrian in san francisco has pleaded guilty to fowl any manslaughter in the first conviction of its kind. the chronicle reports that the 37-year-old pickist will not serve time under a three deal. he has been sentenced to 1,000 hours of community service. the prosecution says that he acted recklessly when he ran a red light and ran into a 71-year-old in the castro

i will show you a picture of the bay bridge in a moment but as we hook at it on the maps, approaching the bay bridge toll plaza is where with see the red indication as we pass the tolls we are at 38 miles per hour and it stays sluggish to treasure island, and when you pass treasure island, 54 miles per hour is the top speed moving into san francisco, and the drive along westbound 80 through san pablo and richmond is where we are seeing top speeds and a look at the drive along 880 at 680 at top speeds despite the possible drizzle affecting the drive in milpitas and fremont but we are still in go shape and a look at the bay bridge toll plaza so metering lights turned on and that is causing slowing but it will start to pick up west of treasure island. eric and kristen? >> thank you, leyla gulen. >> kids expect a toy when they visit fast food restaurants, right? well, a popular chain is getting rid of them.

they will be light, like this morning but they are out there so be careful in the high country with the flash flooding. we have breezes developing along the bay water and, also, in the delta at noon toward 9:00, and they will get from the west at 15- to 25-knots and from the east bay hills back to san francisco we have low clouds and mid-to-upper level clouds with broken spots and that is bringing us the better radar returns and the sprinkles to light rain and scattered this morning as we head through the day most of us are partly sunny and humid and it was warm yesterday with the humidity in the area and isolated sprinkle to shower possible in the daylight and stating tomorrow, we transition to a little more normal pattern with dry air moving in. today, 82 in san jose, and indickty of the south bay, along the low do mid-80's and milpitas could be cooler at 79 and gilroy is north boundal and santa cruz at 74 degrees. on the peninsula, a lot of hit

>> abc7 news starts right now with breaking news. >> the breaking news is from san jose where police are investigating the debt of -- death of a baby. >> police remain here on the scene. they say it is too early to tell if foul play was involved or this is a tragic debt. police responded to makati circle in south san jose after the emergency call before 1:15 and found the baby boy was nonresponsive. the cause of death is not known and remains under investigation. the homicide unit is here and they are investigating this case according to santa clara county

an interesting phenomenon that we have shower activity in the middle of summer. the best storm chance is in the high country where the flash flood watch and the prevail wind is moving from east to west and that could back their way to us, so this is still a chance of a shower through day light and the lowest visibility is three miles per hour and no fog out there to speak of and through 9:00 around the west winds up to 15 knots and that could cause you an issue. now, how to address, low to hid 60's, mild and if not a bit warm for the morning hours in the south bay and the warm spot is 67 degrees and everyone is in the 60's and if not you are close, at alameda at 259 and same in bodega bay and richmond
