san leandro city manager back on the job after being cleared of sexual misconduct. he was accused by ceo of davis street family resource center. she claims he pressured her to have a sexual relationship with him in exchange for public funding. an independent investigators found a lack of credibility in those allegations.
the city council's vote to reinstate him was unanimous. cannot sue theranos. a federal judge ruled against a group last week saying indirect investors couldn't prove they were deliberately misled by the company. more than 200 people invested in funds that bought shares in theranos between 2013 and 2016. they claim the startup lied to investors about its capabilities. the group's lawyer says he might appeal that ruling. listen to this. a room in a luxury building in san francisco for under $1200? it sounds unreal, right? the startup says it has come up with affordable solution to housing crisis called home share. it leases apartments in trendy new buildings and then divides them into additional units by installing room dividers. for example, the living room becomes your bedroom and so does the den. one bedroom into two, two bedroom into three or four.

opportunity here. judge aaron persky the first judge in california to face a recall vote in 80 years all sparked by sentencing of brock turner. he gave the former stanford swimmer six months for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. it was heard around the world. it sparked a recall campaign. voters will decide if his term will be cut short four years. attorneys have supported persky saying judges must maintain independence and not swayed by public opinion. the voting starts at 7:00 this morning. abc 7 matt keller. live update from abc 7 mornings. >> from our live desk, i want to show you this. president trump jumping into the california primary. he sent out this tweet in the

>> the last few weeks were so tough, because it affects breathing. his wife, kelly, bless her, respected dwight's wishes of not wanting to be on a ventilator. >> former 49ers owner eddie organized a gathering with teammates and coaches in april. the president of knbr said, it's kind of inspiring when you see the debilitation that he's suffering physically and then those eyes start sparkling and then that smile comes on. his speech is strained but he uses those phrases that you know so well that are so dwight clark. clark was just 61 years old. in announcing his death on twitter, dwight clark's wife said he passed away surrounded by loved ones. look at this, joe montana called clark a vibrant, charismatic soul. jerry rice tweeted, love you, bro, dwight clark.
r.i.p. tom brady posted he watched the catch in person and ambushed clark at the orthodontist. he called him a hero who had an impact on his life. we have more reactions on abc7news.com. new details about the fatal head-on traffic collision in brentwood. chp tells us 20-year-old man from san francisco driving jeep comp us was trying to pass yesterday and when he did he crashed spoke a tow truck. the jeep went off the road, burst into flames. the passenger was life flighted to the hospital but later died. the 20-year-old rear passenger in the jeep suffered major but nonlife threatening injuries. also life flighted to the hospital. the two truckdrivers suffered minor injuries. pittsburgh police want to know who sent drugs to the business.
workers called police last night when they unexpectedly received a package containing a powdered substance in the mail. plays say they treated it as hazardous and hazmat full body suits came, inspected the powder and determined it was drugs. santa cruz sheriff's department asking for your help trying to identify a man accused of hugging a girl in live oak. investigators say the 11-year-old was with her mom when a stranger grabbed her from behind. the girl's mom and clerk kicked him out of the store. if you recognize him, call the santa cruz sheriff's office. >> now live desk update. >> from abc mornings. wildfire season bupon us. we're tracking two brush fires. i want to show you new video overnight. a trail of flames between coalinga road.

this morning. >> a couple new problems for our commuters from the south. so let's head to santa cruz mountains now. northbound highway 17, new crash north of summit road. can you definitely see a back-up forming there. we're hearing the slow lane is block, far right lane and already calling for tow trucks to the scene. hopefully be able to get these pushed off to the side and traffic moving again. if you're coming through santa cruz mountains area plan on at least 10 to 15 minute delay. morgan hill, a heavy commute nrthbound 101, a new crash on dunne avenue. that's off to the shoulder but slowing things down as well. want to grab your sunglasses today. a lot of sun on bay bridge toll plaza. metering lights on very early due to disabled vehicle long gone. that happened 505 49 minutes. westbound by bridge 21 minutes
new york city delays 101 san francisco to sfo. bus ridership is down and the cause is creating more traffic. according to marin journal ridership declined more than 9% from july to march compared with the same period a year ago. the cause? buses are late because there's so much traffic. that makes people frustrated so they get back in their cars and that creates more traffic. plus the bay area home and rental prices driving out more folks more likely to ride a bus. warriors gearing up for game three of the finals. now we're learning if one of the team's star players will be back on the court. plus we want to know what you think about miss america's big decision to scrap the swim suit competition. in fact, they are not going to be using physical looks at all as a measure for the competition. we have a poll
