of a principal snapped and pulled the trigger. two women met at this starbucks and realized they had 28 other siblings. a community is coming together after crooks wiped a small business clean. "abc7 news" starts right now. >> live where you live, this is "abc7 news." >> new details tonight on a killing of an east bay principal. the man's wife, who was charged with mhis murder, her husband said just shoot me. and she says she just snapped. >> our reporter joins us with what court documents are revealing. >> reporter: these court documents reveal that she said her husband gave her the gun and said to her to shoot him, something that according to her, he had said to her before. exactly two weeks after he was shot by his wife inside their
home. court documents obtained revealed her side of the story. >> he was a great man. and i don't see him saying those things that i'm hearing. i don't. i don't. but who knows what happens behind closed doors? >> reporter: according to the court documents they got into an argument at home. she said she should leave him for someone better and handed her the gun to shoot him. their 6-year-old son was laying on the bed. >> i'm thinking about the little one there, and right now they're parentless. they're parentless. they have older siblings. >> reporter: he's the father of eight children. she revealed to the court that she snapped and said she put the gunnen an inch from his head and
shot him. >> there's certainly a lot to go through. it's a terrible case, and really sad for both parties involved. we understand that we're trying to respect that, and we're ultimately helping the victim out. >> reporter: outside of their home, neighbors and friends and students left flowers. his neighbors said paul loved his wife. >> he always told me, you need to find a maria. >> reporter: maria entered a not guilty plea today and remains in custody with bail set at over $2 million. in the south bay, owners of a small family owned mobile tire service business say they were targeted by criminals. the video shows the moment a stolen trailer belonging to a.r. mobile tire was dumped inside nearly every piece of machinery, gone. amanda del castillo has this story. >> reporter: building a small business in silicone valley
isn't easy. they created a.r. mobile tire shop last february. they invested their own cash to make it happen. >> we just had to do something different, like something that someone doesn't see very often. >> reporter: an on demand tire shop that travels to you. the operation was made easier with this work trailer. at around 3:30 thursday morning, the center of the entire operation was stolen outside his home. he woke up and ran out at the sound of rdragging chains. >> we couldn't find anyone. that's when it started to hit me like it's really gone. >> ror cni raed a small portion stolen thr me campaign. eight miles away, and hours later, surveillance cameras caught this coordinated effort from a group of criminals. you can see several suvs parked, drivers keeping watch as the trailer is dumped, the trailer cleaned out. >> it was tore down in a matter of minutes.
yeah, it was just very heartbreaking. >> reporter: the crooks worked quickly. outside, they removed business decals, the license plates and busted taillights. inside, they cleaned out close to $20,000 worth of equipment. he says moving forward, he and his two partners are going to keep the trailer under tight security, even if that means sleeping inside of it. amanda del castillo, "abc7 news." police just released body cam video of a fatal officer involve shooting last month. [ gunfire ] >> cease-fire. >> police say 21-year-old willie mccoy was asleep in his car, and officers were called to the scene and surrounded the car. when mccoy woke up, police say he reached for a gun on his lap. they shot him more than 20 times. the attorney is calling it excessive force and the family
called it execution. b.a.r.t. police arrested a 16-year-old suspect accused of killing a 17-year-old girl in a shooting last night around 10:30. this is an isolated incident that did not involve passengers, and an investigation showed the conflict started on oakland city streets and the suspect and victim knew each other. this was parent's day in court, for the college admissions scandal, six bay area parents appeared in court in boston. a total of 15 parents were i ch this sweeping scandal that has touched elite universities from coast to coast. the i-team's melanie woodrow was in boston for today's proceedings. >> reporter: parents accused of paying for their children to lie and cheat, surrounded by atorneys today and not saying a word. napa vineyard owner's daughter, a purported usc polo
player. allegedly concerned about this blowing up in my face. is this what you meant by blowing up in your face? also appearing, his friend, now fired from his job at tpg growth. he is accused of paying for cheating scheme and the recruitment scheme. his son, a purported usc football player. the judge declied the request to take an already planned international april family vacation. his pr rep saying his son has a learning disability. diane and todd make covering that face with umbrellas. did you pay to help your child get into ho margie clapper accused of paying $15,000 for the college entrance exam scheme after her son scored a 30 out of 36, she told rick

there are car chases and then there was this tonight. a suspect led law enforcement on a wild hours long chase that ended in burbank. at one point, the driver started going the wrong way on interstate 5. he was crashing into police cars and other vehicles. eventually wedging himself between three cars. that set off a tense stand off with police. officers shot at the suspect before he was subdued and arrested. the reason for this chase? unknown. >> scary. now to the amazing scotory two men who grew up asen only child. after taking a dna test, they learned they were sisters. >> then they found out they had 28 more brothers and sisters. our reporter spoke with two of them and shares their incredible journey. >> reporter: if you asked shauna
harrison how many brothers and sisters she has, she may not be able to answer. >> i'm lie no, yeah, yes. about 29 of them. >> reporter: at age 27, shauna learned her dad wasn't her biological father. >> i had been asking a lot of questions about health. >> reporter: she tried an ancestry site and found out the donor was jewish, of russian descent. now at age 41, she went back to the site two years ago after learning about advancements to dna science. >> the next day i get an e-mail from one of the signallings that says hey, it looks like we're related. >> reporter: there was a total of eight others. 2 1/2 years later, the family keeps growing. >> just about a month ago maybe, there was three within two weeks. >> reporter: now, there's a total of 30 brothers and sisters. >> turned out i was number 15. >> reporter: judy met shauna for the first time two years ago in
sunnyvale. she said there was an instant connection. >> it's just nice to have smeone else at the same place and you have the same history. it's fun. >> reporter: both used the word "weird" to describe the situation. there are struggles. not everyone is ready to be part of the extended family. but there's a facebook page for the siblings, a spread sheet to keep track of the birthdays. >> it's just nonstop, and it's -- i don't think that this is going to be it, right? i think it's just going to continually happen. probably for the rest of my life. >> reporter: the new ones that show up, they say they're ready to welcome as family. >> here's your welcome package. i'm larry. there have been four confirmed cases of measles in the bay area this month. santa clara county has two reported cases. a county resident contracted the infection while traveling abroad, which is not related to the case reported on tuesday.
that one involves an international traveler who visited eight south bay cities last week. the third measles case was reported in alameda county yesterday and one in san francisco earlier this month. the governor has asked california lawmakers for $208 million to fix the dmv. this after a finance audit found the agency failed to properly plan for the rollout of the real i.d. federally required license updates. the governor wants to improve long lines and customer service problems at the agency. the dmv would use it to hire more employees and update computers to accept credit cards. chp officers found an illegal inside some cereal boxes. officers stopped 45-year-old jose cardanes for having tinted windows. they decided to search his car, and instead of finding cocoa puffs, they found a kilo of cocaine in each, worth a total of $120,000. he was arrested and booked into
