ending soon. but let's get you caught up on what we know right now. police say this stand-off started just before 9-last night. near maryland parkway and dumont. police say they responded to call of a man screaming for help. people in the area also say they possibly heard gunshots. when officers showed up... they started talking to the man and decided to call in swat because they believe the man is armed and refusing to come outside. ((lt. robert bell // metro police: 08;21;04 the effort now is to get him out of the house so we can get him any help that he requires. he appears to be despondent for some reason we do not know at this time. 08;21;10) )) as you heard swat negotiators are trying to get the man to come outside. police do not believe anyone was has been shot. nearby residents say they have been evacuated. no evacuated. no word yet on when they'll be allowed back in.
two months, the occupation of an oregon wildlife refuge is over. the final four protesters were removed yesterday. but the situation isn't completely done just yet. as kim hutcherson reports.. those final hold- outs are due in court this morning. four right-wing protesters from refuge are set to appear in federal court in portland, oregon friday-- after they were taken into custody thursday. david fry, jeff wayne banta, sean larry anderson and sandra lynn anderson surrendered to authorities after a dramatic phone call that was live streamed on the internet. (nats - "the only way we're leaving here is dead or without charges!") the surrender of the remaining occupiers brings to an end the 41- day occupation of the refuge. only a few hours earlier, federal agents arrested nevada rancher cliven bundy--on six charges from his 2014 standoff with federal officials. he didn't participate in this
