> cruz will also be here... but not to campaign beforehand. organizers say he'll be holding a speech after the caucuses at eight oclock... he'll be at the bill and lillie heinrich ymca on meadows lane./// ((kirsten joyce)) > candidate john kasich is still in the race, but won't be stopping here. he's campaigning in georgia today. tonight...we'll have live reports from the camps of the frontrunners... our special caucus coverage starts at five. we'll also have special editions of "politcs now at 7:30 and 11 p- m./// ((brian loftus)) > bernie sanders and hillary clinton are pretty close when it comes to delegates so far. clinton won nevada... and with her totals from each state...she has 52 caucus and primary delegates. sanders has 51. but with the super delegates...clin ton's lead gets much bigger. super delegates are party leaders and members of congress who can support any candidate... when superdelegates are included, clinton has over 500 and sanders has 70. it takes over 23-hundred delegates to win the democratic nomination for president.///

((kirsten joyce)) > we're hearing from the friend of a young woman... found dead at the d-hotel over the weekend. 26 year-old kalli medina- brown of california was discovered dead in a laundry chute on sunday morning. investigators are not calling her death a homicide...but it is being called suspicious. meda-brown's best friend is speaking out: (( (( sierra roraback/medina- brown's best friend: "there has to be justice. in order to have closure on the situation and sleep a little better or something. we have to figure out who did this, we have to figure out what happened.)) friends say she was responsible and believe she was separated from the group she was here with in town. it still isn't known she ended up in the laundry chute. the d issued a statement saying they're saddened by the incident and cooperating with the investigation./// kirsten joyce > now let's turn it over to demetia.

((brian loftus)) > this morning, a michigan mother is talking about her daughter's fight for life. the teen was critically injured.. in the shooting spree in kalamazoo, michigan that left 6 people dead. police say jason dalton shot several victims over the weekend.. in between reportedly picking up passengers while working as an uber driver. 14- year- old abigail kopf is the lone survivor of one of the crime scenes.. authorities initially thought she died after being shot in the head.. her heart even stopped at one point: (( (vicki kopf/abigail kopf's mother :03) "she is alive, and she is fighting for her life" (vicki kopf ) "abigail is strong and was a vibrant, beautiful young lady who did not deserve this" )) ((brian loftus)) abigail was with her adoptive grandmother at the time of the shooting... and she was killed. the alleged gunman, dalton, now faces 16 charges.. including 6 for murder. prosecutors say he has admitted to the attacks, however, a

the weekend... investigators say it all stemmed from a fight in the parking garage of the miracle mile shops.. police say surveillance video shows tally following another car onto the strip.. before shots were heard. jennifer chicas and melissa mendoza.. are the 2 women shot to death. they were visiting from northern california. in an exclusive interview with 8 news now, talley's younger brother, deandre graham tells us the news came as a shock to his entire family. baby jonathan was taken to the last november. jessica and danny lopez say they knew a worker at an unlicensed daycare hurt him. they say detectives questioned them, their two other children were placed with their grandparents, and jessica and danny couldn't be with them month. turns out this is routine for an child abuse investigation like this one. ((michael stevens)) brian, kirsten... metro police believe this whole thing started as an argument between two groups... who knew each other. police were called here to the "nellis suites" near craig and las vegas boulevard around 2-30 this morning. they say a group of people driving a black volkswagen jetta -- with gold rims pulled up to the parking lot of this hotel... and tried to get someone to come outside. when that person didn't come out... police believe the suspects started damaging a car in the parking lot. that's what got the victim to come outside... and shots were fired:
