((michael stevens)) >> brian, kirsten... as we've seen in the past... as we've seen in the past... signing up on health care by yourself on sites like these can be a little confusing... health exchange is holding a kick-off event at cashman convention center to answer any questions. you have from now until january 1st to sign-up for health care using "nevada health link"... which is our statewide site you'll shop for plans. open enrollment is only 12-weeks out of the year... people with the exchange say there's over 3-hundred and 50-thousand people in the state

((nia wong)) >> brian and kirsten. a teacher at this school tipped us off of a possible partnership with a group called democracy prep. they're asking for signatures on a petition .. saying democracy prep's policies would be unacceptable for the students. >> the teachers are trying to get as many signatures as they can before tomorrow's board meeting. they wan democracy prep ... which is described as a more rigorous and structured school model. according to their website, they're built on a practice called "no excuses". some of the differences agassi prep could see are: no religious holiday's off. silent hallways during passing periods. class on saturday's and longer school days.... something that's a big concern for parents we spoke with: ((janet hill / parent: "children need to be social. they have to be social. for 10 hours just doing math, and english, and science, i

it was tough on everyone. nobody escaped it nobody escaped it. attorney tisha black represented many developers and homebuilders. she knows of 26 suicides. tisha they'd worked their whole lives and not only lost their house, but people who lost their business. people were decimated. heather murren: it was 11 trillion dollars in household wealth that was wiped out during the course of the financial crisis. former wall street analyst h presidential commission which investigated the crisis. she thinks that reforms since then make it tougher for something of that magnitutde to happen again, but says smaller regional bubbles could grow, then burst, and las vegas is showing some signs. heather: 731 we're starting to see it now. certainly housing prices have risen. the demand for housing has escalated to levels that haven't been seen since 2005 or thereabouts. land prices are riging. home values shot up more than 7

((kirsten joyce)) >> ccsd police say the teen was allegedly plotting a quote "catastrophic" school shooting. the family of the teen told the i- team their 15 year old son is a freshman at desert oasis high school. ccsd police say the the teen didn't appear to have a vendetta against anyone .. but made plans for a future mass this came to light ... after concerned students approached school administrators... and an arizona mother overheard a conversation about desert oasis high school and contacted police. metro's armor unit searched the suspect's home .. and found evidence but did not specify just what ... also unclear if the teen had access to weapons. our i-team spoke exclusively to david bach about his son: ((david bach - student's father: i seen my son. he's very sad, very scary.
