crews are working to bring the power back on to the paris hotel and casino. what officials say happened that caused a blackout. ((brian loftus)) >> a contractor working in the hotel's basement accidentally cut into the main power line... shutting off the power... and leaving guests without a place to stay: (("this could be one of the most bizarre things i've ever seen in my life."))

((michael stevens)) >> brian, kirsten... in about an hour we're expected to get our next update... the clark county fire department... as well as members from caesars will brief the media power to this massive hotel. the county says workers tried restoring temporary power yesterday afternoon... but didn't have any luck. that's when the clark county fire department ordered the evacuation of about 3-thousand people. hotel staff... metro police... and the clark county fire department carried out the order. people staying at paris say this turned out to be a huge inconvenience: ((jason creffield // hotel guest: i did not think i was going to have to deal with

the regional transportation commission in washoe county... fell for a costly e-mail scam. according to the r-t-c... the agency received an e-mail from one of its vendors, asking for an electronic payment. the r-t-c did in fact owe "granite construction" one- point- four- million dollars... so they sent the payment through. the only problem now is granite did not request the money.. because it was a fake e-mail. the commission says none of its systems have been affected or compromised by the scam.
