youngest being a kindergartener. six children remain in the i-c-u this morning .. 6 others also in the hospital .. the other children have since been released from the hospital and are back home. >> right now we know 24 year old johnthony walker was driving this bus when it crashed into a tree...almost splitting in half. 37 students in total were on board. their grades ranged from kindergarten to 5th grade. we're told they all came from a single school--woodmore elementary school. the interim superintendent spoke in t ((kirk kelly:."yesterday was the worst day we have had for woodmore and hamilton county schools that i can recall in my life as an educator, as a parent and as a member of this community.")) ((nia wong)) >> the chatanooga police chief says road conditions were clear and dry when the bus crashed... they're looking into speed as a possible factor. walker has been arrested and now faces several charges for vehicular homicide, as well as reckless endangerment.
