nice, warm sunshine and it's friday. let's head over to make mike with the bad news. >> we're looking at the south bay. overall, great flow of traffic. in sunnyvale, i am tracking this crash. the slowing does not show up on the sensors. west 237 prefping mathilda, very light commute right now. pretty much no commute. very light traffic. know the activity is in. crews moving through palo alto. >> sounds good. thanks, mike. breaking news. lots of damage and a teenage driver under arrest in the east bay. >>heeenager home. bob redell joins us live in castro valley this morning. ar:no. fortunately, no one was hurt. alameda fire tells us two el in this home at parsons and wilson were not hurt. they were inside the home at the
time the suspect crashed into the garage on the left side of the screen. it ruptured the home's gas line. the suspect is a juvenile. between midnight and 1:00, they carjacked a van. we believe alameda county sheriff's office began chasing the van. they fled on foot and carjacked another vehicle a mile away. as you can see in this video, it was a black car. again, the carjacker did not have much luck get this time the suspect crashed off castro boulevard near 580. they were taken into custody. remarkably, no reports of injuries during these pursuits and crashes overnight. pg&e shut off the power here at s.is home. we know theight

southern california. instead, they want to build a single tunnel with a different design and lower price. this isn't the only major process changed since taking office. he is reversing course on the high-speed rail plan. he is focusing on finishing the line currently under construction. >> newark and dublin bucking the trend when it comes to population rates, inching higher instead of going down. >> we look into why. population rates in dublin grew more than 4% last year. people are moving in even though the median price for a home is about $1 million. a one bedroom apartme the city's draw. >> and i know it's expensive, but it is still relatively affordable. there is a built of a commute to silicon valley. you can have a family here.

in the upper 60s by 11:00. in palo alto. in the south bay, looking at high temperatures reaching 78 in los gatos and cupertino. the windsm the northwest at 15 miles per hour. a nice breeze today making it feel nice and comfortable. but it is still going to be warm with highs reaching 82 in antioch. 82 in danville. a comfortable 70 degrees in oakland today. cool at half moon bay. we see the marine layer, clouds and fog hanging around much of the day. redwood city, up to 76. 65 on the embarcadero. north bay reaching as warm as 81 in ukiah. sonoma reaches 75. nice, warm weather today. we kept it clear. we will be tracking changes in our weekend forecast. it is all because of this swirl of clouds. this area of low pressure we have seen weakening the past
couple of days. as it moves closer to the bay area, it will bring us more clouds, pleasy winds. going into sunday we will see mostly cloudy skies, especially for the aftern like it will be dry throughout the day. but then showers moving in. we will see rain moving in. of course we'll be tracking that for you. it will be light and clearing out throughout the rest of the day on monday. as we make weekend plans, we're all very honored to serve the community on comcast cares day here at nbc bay area. we will be out in san jose cleaning up one of the schools and making it really nice for the kids heading back to school on monday. temperatures nice and cool in the morning with mid-50s. it will be warming up into the mid-70s going throughout the day. warm in spots. but not bad. 75 once again, more
