nbc bay area )s kris sanchez is at district headquarters. kris where do things stand right now? -- the frustration is really ramping up. new haven teachers association made an offer that the district said took things backward. ou cost the ditroffer. though the union says that the district )s own financials show the district can afford it. marout the teachers ) perspective. kris: teachers are fighting for a higher paycheck long-term. but in the short term. they )e lost half a paycheck. here )s what that )s like for an 8th grade history and english teacher: marcus: so, there )s the financial pressure the teachers are feeling, but

kris: graduation is still scheduled, and the district is giving seniors the options of averaging the grades they have without taking their finals. the district spokesperson says that despite how all of this looks. a deal is closer than it seems.

we will be following the negotiations as they go forward. stay with nbc bay area and download our app. if the two sides come to a deal -- we will send out push alerts to notify you. we have an update on a deadly overnight shooting at an arco gas station in fairfield. we first told you about the shooting on today in the bay. it happened at about midnight on north texas street. police now tell us at least three people were shot. one died at the scene. that person has not been identified. another victim is in critical condition. also police say - a third person walked into a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. he is now under arrest facing charges of murder and attempted murder. police do not believe the shooting was random.

happening now -- apple holding it )s an in person and online watching. the big news this year is expected not to be a new iphone or computer. it )s the death of itunes. that )s leaving a lot of people wondering what will happen to all that music they )ve paid for and downloaded over the years. actor kevin spacey makes a surprise court appearance in massachusetts. this is new video of spacey inside the courtroom. he )s accused of groping a man t a nantucket bar back in 2016. the 59-year-old has already pleaded not guilty to charges of indecent assault and battery. he faces up to two year and half years in jail if convicted. this is the only criminal case that has been brought against the two-time oscar winner. a plan to help struggling taxi drivers at s-f-o is gaining some success. under the measure--taxi drivers who paid (250 thousand dollars for permits called medallions get to jump ahead in the pick up line.

a new s-f-m-t-a report shows--those who paid are making more money. revenue for purchased medallion holders rose this year by roughly 41 percent. the drivers picked up 56 thousand passengers in february alone. but not everyone is on board with the plan. many critics see it as an effort to address a pending lawsuit. it )s seeking damages from the s-f-m-t-a...for allowing the rise of uber and lyft to impact the local taxi industry. san francisco )s "skip" is reportedly pulling its dockless scooters from city streets skip is one of two companies licensed to operate in san francisco. it also operates in washington d-c... and here )s the reason why skip is suspending service: one of its scooters mysteriously caught fire last week in d-c. no one was injured. scoot says it )s sidelining its scooters in both cities out of an abundance of caution. next -- the warriors doing what they are known for -- coming back in

happening today -- santa clara is holding a l-g-b- t-q flag raising ceremony in recognition of pride month. the event kicks off at ten this morning outside city hall. today )s event comes as debate over the rainbow flag in dublin continues this week. at tomorrow )s city council meeting, leaders will consider a policy to provide guidance for the display of flags at city buildings. following discussion, they will hold a special meeting over flying the rainbow flag at city hall, in honor of pride month. last month, the council voted that idea down. that did not sit well with some members of the community. dozens met on saturday to protest the decision.

bart leaders are putting new pressure on washito fding that would increase train capacity. bart says more than one billion dollars in grant money is being tied up by the federal transit administration. bart )s general manager is requesting the money. she says it would fund a program to increase train frequency through the transbay tube by more than 30- percent. her letter cites last week )s deadly bay bridge crash - and the spike in ridership as one reason why the money is needed. fans packed oracle arena for last night )s game-2 watch party - and came away celebrating. the dubs did what they needed to do in toronto .. and are coming back with homecourt advantage in the nba finals. the warriors broke things open in the third quarter. but the game was still in doubt with 5 seconds left. that )s when andre iguadala came up with a clutch 3-pointer. the warriors win 109-to-104 .. to even the series at one game apiece. stands with nba commissioner
