>> kahn imagine? it was an abc 7 viewer who tipped us off to the story. bay area woman looking for assistance in getting chilled support payments but when she placed her call to the county help loon she got something she never expected. she needed help collect being back child support payments from her ex hugs and went to child support service web site for assistanc assistance. found hotline number and called. san mateo. >> welcome to america hottest talk leeb. lead to talk toyn toynting and exciting guys free press 1 now. >>reporter: she was shocked to reach a sex chat line and thought it had to be a wrong number she dialed again it was the same sex hotline she called e mailed child support services to complain about the sex hot lean but nothing done. that was a month alaska. >> i was very disappointed that something like that could happen. an agency like that

make that mistake. it's very unfortunate. >>reporter: despite her calls and e-mails child support services in redwood city says the hotline number was news to them. dr. he cantor rodriguez says her agency had no idea the help lean was a sex lean and admits it's embarrassing. >> a lot em bearings. i apologize but l washington can i say. communication broke down. >>reporter: rodriguez says the phone number was from vendor contracted by the state that changed the number months ago. old number was apparently replaced by the sex lean. mistake was corrected today after abc 7 news brought it to their attention. but the state department of child support services says it alerted counties to the mistake in an e-mail back in october. it's now ordered all counties to rae view the web site and make sure the number is taken down medle medley. >> she did finally get the help she needed and personal apology from the local director of child support services. >> remarkable story thank you.
