raptor parts and feathers in the man's possession. according to law enforcement, 30-year old dana morley mcivor said he had the feathers and parts for ceremonies. while that is legal: mcivor, or any other native american, needs a permit from the national eagle repository. he didn't have one. the program collects, inventories and distributes raptor feathers to native americans who apply to the program. investigators say mcivor had raptor feathers-and-parts which could've come from as-many-as two dozen birds. " chris healy/ndow: it is unfortunate that this happened, but it is kind of comforting to know we have a system in place that can deal with this kind of law breaking." mcivor faces seven state -misdemeanor charges. but if federal authorities get involved in the case? he could be facing felony charges.### the washoe county high alert, because a new scam in our area has people posing as investigators say scammers are using the

work at the sheriff's department. they're also manipulating the phones-- so the caller i-d, shows a sheriff's office phone number. works-- the caller will tell the potential victim, there's a warrant out for a certain fine. the scammer offers two options. one ..to surrender and agree to be arrested, or pay a "reduced" fine. you'll be asked to pay-- by using an "e-gift" card, or something similar. local law enforcement will never ask for payment over the phone, for warrants and fines. if you receive one of these calls-- try and write down the name, and call-back number. then call the sheriff's office, at 328-3001. ### we now know the identity of a man killed in the single-car-crash which hit a light pole. nevada highway patrol investigators have identified 30-year-old john abraham of susanville as the driver of this vehicle. he was driving south on 395 approaching the north mccarran

he dedicated his time and money to developing a piece of technology, that encourages people to lean forward in their snow-skis. chris bender invented what's called-- "forward ski." its a pressure sensor that is placed between the shin, and the ski- boot tounge. awhen a skier is not putting the right pression on the skis-- a sensor triggers a buzz.. telling the skier to lean forward. it also sends the information to an i- phone app-- that graphs a skier's performance. "once you see it in a graph form too, you can start your problems, because the graph should be real straight. it the pressure comes and goes, you can see where you are not maintaining that balance." the forward ski system is currently being used by race teams in tahoe and across the nation. it is fully designed and reno. dental care can be too expensive for many low
