it's a chance for singers to compete to sing the national anthem at this year's rodeo. if you think you have what it takes, post a video of yourself singing the national anthem to the reno rodeo's facebook page. the top contestants will then compete at gilleys inside the nugget on april 27th where six-singers will be selected to sing. submissions will be accpeted through march 15th. the reno rodeo runs june 16th through the 25th.### a new wing of a children's hospital will bear the name of actress jennifer lawrence. the "hunger games" star donated two-million dollars to help build an intensive care unit for young heart patients in kentucky. ann bowdan reports. jennifer lawrence, actress: "i'm jennifer lawrence. i'm excited to announce that we will be establishing the jennifer lawrence foundation cardiac intensive care unit at kosair children's hospital." doctors, staff, and

announced the plans for this state-of-the-art facility and her foundation's two- million-dollar donation toward the project. her family says the children at kosair children's hospital touched her heart when she visited at christmas. gary lawrence, father of jennifer lawrence: "can see how it touches the parents when jenn goes in and signs the posters and gives them the posters. just makes me really proud, and i know it really touches her, too." the facility will help children recovering from open-heart surgeries, heart transplant, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions. greg young, father of patient: "at our 20-week ultrasound on august 16, 2010, we found out that our son was gonna be born with what is called hypoplastic left heart." little jonathan young was born with half a heart. a part of the brave kosair, he will directly benefit from lawrence's donation and new facility. greg young, father of patient: "the first day that we got to take our son home from here, kosair children's hospital, was on valentine's day." those are the results lawrence's family says they say she's always had a heart for karen lawrence, mother of jennifer lawrence: "she always thought she would be a doctor,

with me and we will find out. candidate hillary clintin your vote. kolo 8 news now's terri russell is at the event--- and will have a live report. an international effort to rescue golden retrievers. welcome foster homes around the world. melissa macbride reports on the effort to find these pups forever homes. after a long, transatlantic flight, 20 golden retrievers are on their way to being loved. they were rescued in istanbul turkey, by a woman who reached out to golden retriever rescues in the united states. kevin shipley, golden retriever rescue of the rockies: "they were once a status...feral dog packs over there." golden retriever rescues from southern california and colorado say the breed is in such high demand here in the u.s., people are on waiting lists to adopt.

dogs. barbara gale, socal golden retriever rescue: "it turns out to be....airfare and vet checks." once the dogs were cleared to be released, eager volunteers took the golden's for a much needed walk....and gave them food and water.
