told reporters: a person is "not christian" if they -really want to build a wall on the u.s.-mexico border. speaking at a rally on key-uh-wah kiawah island in south carolina today, donald trump called it quote "disgraceful" for a religious leader to question someone's faith. trump accused the mexican government of using pope francis "as a pawn." "he actually said that maybe i'm not a good christian or something. it's unbelievable. which is rally not a nice thing to say." more than 300 pastors and other religious leaders in south carolina have endorsed ted cruz for president. cruz announced the endorsements the day after rival marco rubio got the endorsement of the state's popular governor.### senator bernie sanders will be in northern nevada tomorrow, ahead of saturdays caucus. sanders will be at elko high school. doors open at 8 o'clock. the vermont senator will be at the nugget in sparks tomorrow afternoon. doors open for that event, a 1 in the afternoon. ### and three republican candidates have

"oh yeah. i feel really good about the base and i think we are going to have a great season." the snow here at sugar bowl was all good news... but in other areas... it brought a little bit of havoc. two feet of snow on top of a sheet of ice means high avalanche danger. that was no more true than at alpine meadows today... where the resort was closed because of three different avalanches early this morning. luckily... no one was injured in those incidents. live near donner summit... colin lygren... kolo 8 news now. reno police are investigating a deadly shooting at a mobile home park on kietzke lane. investigators say people heard several gunshots at the ponderosa mobile home park around seven last night. a man was found shot in the parking lot. first responders tried to revive him, but he died at the scene. the gang unit did respond, but they tell us it's too early to tell if this is gang related. police are not yet naming any possible suspects.###

from the white house today. president obama is making a historic trip to cuba next month. this marks the first time in more than 80 years.. a u-s president will visit the island nation, while in office. elizabeth hur reports. president obama is going to cuba! ben rhodes, assistant to the president: "this is the first president to visit cuba since calvin coolidge." it's a first.. for a sitting president since 1928.. and the first trip to cuba for president obama since he made history.. shaking hands with raul castro.. and restoring diplomatic ties with the cuban government.. back in december of 2014. ben rhodes, assistant to the president: "given the choice between going in december when frankly it would just kind of be a vacation down to cuba, or going now and trying to get some business done, we believe that the time is right to go." this trip.. the main event.. among several huge us/cuba events in the works.. including a major league baseball pre- season game.. and big

yesterday at democratic headquarters in reno nevada u.s senator harry reid was asked about potential nominees for the u-s- supreme court. he gave a short list, and then he was asked about nevada's governor brian sandoval. reid: so we have a good relationship, and we found it works much better if we keep our conversations to ourselves. while senator reid may be mum on the subject, that isn't the case with the national media. the washington post puts sandoval's name on the short list saying he would make his fellow republicans squirm. prof fred lokken/tmcc political science: it would be an incredible problem for the republicans to resolve.i don't think they could now, not hold hearings. and i don't know how they would reject this other than over the conservative credentials. but they would be making a slap at a prominent hispanic governor in the republican party. it is poetically beautiful, from the point of view of the obama administration. sandoval was confirmed and served on the federal bench with a vast majority of senators

nominee an up or down vote. am-uh-day amodei says-- the only reason, anyone could have, for not wanting to cast such a vote, is not wanting their constituents to know how they stand on an issue. am-uh-day amodei told k-o-h radio if a senator doesn't like the nominee... they should vote against them. he says, no one knows who the next president will be.. or which party will control the senate next year. ### it's something you don't see every day: a slow-speed police chase... involving a backhoe. officers say it started when the 59-year-old man, dumped boulders on a florida roadway. he then allegedly drove up and down the bridge for an hour- and-a-half, damaging the road and sides of the bridge. one police cruiser was damaged, and officers eventually left the bridge for their own safety. when the backhoe driver finally drove off the bridge, deputies stopped the backhoe with spike strips, and arrested the driver. ###

working in flint, michigan. the e-p-a says the samples confirm results from earlier testing. the agency says it continues to recommend residents use the filters in their homes. but for pregnant and breast-feeding women? and children six-years- old and younger, bottled water is the safest option. the natural gas leak that has been going in southern california for months... is permanently sealed. the company released infrared video, showing the affected area. natural gas started leaking from the storage well in los angeles county, at the end of october. more than 22-hundred homes were evacuated. a state-of-emergency was issued by the governor last month. today, state officials proposed new regulations, which they hope will prevent similar leaks in the future. "the new requirements of these regulations, including the ones that are in effect now, will require daily testing, increased inspections of the mechanical integrity of the wells in these fields, and comprehensive emergency management

"i save gas, we get extra money." rtc has partnered with v-ride, a national vanpool provider, to operate the program through multiple locations in washoe county to many different destinations. v-ride supplies the

insurance and maintenance costs. riders split the cost of a rolling 30-day lease and gas with some help from r-t-c carol perry, rtc "the rtc smart trips program contributes a substantial subsidy a minimum of $400 to lower participants costs." the cost for the program can vary depending of the distance driven in a month and how many riders participate in the pool. some companies like tesla makeup the difference.
