people go through today. the speeches have just begun in each room...... senator ted cruz even made an appearance hoping to sway voters...,but many people i spoke with came with their mind already are up. the rubio campaign's strategy was overload the public with signs and stickers. we were seeing lots of trump and cruz supporters, a few for rubio. trump and cruz supporters, a few for rubio. this caucus is set to wrap up at 8-30. results can come in late tonight or early tomorrow morning. tune in tonight at 11 with a look at the process here at reed.

door have been open a little more than an hour at north valley's high school. thats the location of where our first time--undecided--21 year old repbulican will be caucusing tonight. kolo 8 news now terri russell joins us from school with an update there. yesterday we introduced you to matt weber who will be caucusing for the first time. he says he is undecided and leaning toward ted cruz. he is not even sure he will come out tonight giving a candidate his 100-percent support. registering at 5:00 this transactions can be done until 6:00, with the line out the door, it doesn't look like there

will be caucusing for the first time. but because he is a computer software engineer he is also volunteering to help people find the right they are indeed registered as a republican. while he says he he also tells me at this point he is not beholden " matt weber/undecided: i mean i'm still open to kasich, trump if they have convincing arguments. so it's interesting to see what's in store" we are expecting a long night tonight because of the long lines. we will let you know how it goes here and if matt makes a decision tonight. north valleys high

kolo 8 news now. the ballroom at the nugget in sparks erupted in applause this afternoon. donald trump was in town to campaign, before the caucuses tonight. the nugget just released the final attendance in the crowd.... 3-thousand-16. it was all part of trump's plan to make sure his supporters--- go caucus, and be counted... as the billionaire is chasing after nevada's 30 delegates. after he arrived, trump quickly hit on his key points. trt:28 donald trump, presidential candidate,"politicians come up to me and say you really can't build a wall. of course you can. the great wall of china is 13 thousand miles, we need a thousand. then all of a sudden last week my wife comes up to me and says "darling i don't believe ted cruz is on television saying we will build a wall. another one said we will build

saying we will build a wall. another one said we will build a wall. it is a amazing how i can talk people into things." trump went on to lay out some of his other ideas.... like repealing common core, settling trade deficits with foreign nations and being more competitive in the pricing of prescription medication. texas senator ted cruz also made a last minute push for votes today. he made three different stops across northern nevada. one in fernley... one in carson city... and one in minden. he was joined by nevada attorney general adam laxault... and republican pundit glenn beck. cruz took the stage... reminding people of his principals of repealing obamacare and establishing a flat tax. but he also reminded them that every vote counts... especially in a caucus. "in 2012 about 32,000 people showed up to the nevada caucus. that is not a whole lot of people. that means every one of you has a voice, has a megaphone to speak for hundreds and to speak for thousands of people across this country." the nevada caucus is

chase that ended at the grand sierra resort. the nevada highway patrol says they found stolen sporting goods, and alcohol, inside the abandoned car used by the suspects. 23-year-old dominic gonzalez is behind bars for a felony charge, for possession of stolen property. he's also charged with reckless driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and several other charges. n-h-p says this all started around 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon in carson city, when gonzalez--- and an unidentified male, allegedly stole alcohol from a liquor store. an off duty officer noticed gonzalez speeding on i-580. that's when they hit another vehicle, near meadowood mall. they ended up at g-s-r, where the two suspects took off on foot. gonzalez was quickly arrested-- while the other male was seen getting into a maroon car, with silver rims. he's still at large, and

man, last seen wearing a black shirt, or zipper pullover, and blue jeans. ### taxpayers in washoe county could save 26 thousand dollars a year because of a merger between two fire districts. today was the first reading of the ordinance that would merge the truckee meadows fire protection district and sierra fire protection district. during the board of county commisioners meeting, one person voiced concern saying the merger would cause longer response time. according to washoe county commissioners, this merger will save taxpayers thousands of dollars because it'll end the need for two audits, financial statements, and two budgets. the second reading of this ordinance will be on march eighth. the nevada department of transportation is making progress on removing a large boulder, on u-s 50 in the glenbrook area of lake tahoe. here's video of crews with a hydraulic hammer, breaking the boulder into pieces. the boulder is estimated to be 8-feet tall, and weigh about 60-thousand pounds. n-dot says this is expected to be removed-- by the end of the day.

will need to be repaired. those repairs won't be finished until the end of the week. so, one lane will remain closed, and minor traffic delays are expected. ### today, governor brian sandoval signed an executive order to reinstate the new energy industry task force. 12 people will be in the new task force. the task force will advise the governor's office of energy on ways to promote the development of renewable energy and distribution of energy resources in nevada. they will also look into issues like rooftop solar and nevada's energy grid and potentially prepare legislation for the 2017 session. a wolf pack basketball player reached a career milestone last week plus...the nevada softball team has added

nba assignment... he had 14 points and 6 boards... speaking of the nba... erick green back from utah... he spent most of the last month with the jazz... green also scored 22... reno routs the bayhawks 130-105... nevada's marqueze coleman is enjoying a great season season... he ranked 5th in the conference, averaging over 17 points per game... he has scored over 30 points three times this year,...including 31 at unlv on saturday... and he's just the 25th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. coleman: "you know, it's a great accomplishment. i'm very blessed. my past career, i never thought i would be able to get there, you know, but with this breakout year that i'm having i'm just very fortunate that it happened this year. i knew that if we had any chance of having a successful year and turning our seasons around, i'd have to do that. and i think i'm doing a pretty good job of that so far." the wolf pack host utah state tomorrow night....
