[ crowd noise ] a fight breaks out at westwood high school in mesa in the cafeteria. one of the kids just myself off the table and slams his fist into someon this fight. the school is telling us all the students involved have been punished. the i-10 back open, shut down earlier tonight because of a police incident. that stretch goes through the heart of the city on a busy friday night. they just opened at about 8:50 this evening. people in buckeye stirl

their water bill. >> many reached out to our newsroom looking for help. >> there are nearly two dozen buckeye residents who are being billed for whatever they never used. thousands of gallons and dollars seeming to go down the drain. one woman says -- buckeye usually says a leak is to blame. one woman has her own suspicion. she blames water meter err down. >> reporter: after a skyhigh bill in september, michelle had her suspicions. >> a leak does not repair itself >> reporter: according to her meter, she used more than 46,000 gallons. >> i've been out here for 12 years. a person's habits don't typically change. >> reporter: it failed the inspection. she has paperwork to prove it. city replaced the equipment. but she's still stuck

of a $1,200 bill. it's not fair. i don't owe this. >> reporter: more residents have been coming forward with similar companltds. she -- complaints. she can't speculate if they have the same problem but she has no leak. >> they won't even consider any other possibilities. they have enough people now that invested their time and their money into proving that they don't have a leak, what if buckeye, what are they going to invest in determining what other problems could exist creating this phenomenon? >> reporter: and just last week, buckeye city council approved nearly a million dollars to upgrade everyone's water meters. and those changes should be in effect by next summer.

to continue their football careers. last night coach mark nolan who was fired spoke exclusively to cbs 5 news. joe arpaio has officially pleaded not guilty to criminal contempt of court charges. he was found guilty of civil contempt for violating a judge is's order to stop immigration patrols. new details on the man who was once suspected to be the i-10 shooter. >> he is facing damning accusations tonight. he showed up at his ex-girlfriend's house, she is prenan with his child, and she filed a restraining order against him two weeks ago. she claims merritt threatened to kill her, her grandmother and her new boyfriend.
