in the hospital tonight. the gunman... still on the loose. all nine victims in a halloween party in oakland, and the gunman is still on the loose. it happened in the historic suite ball room on 19th street. police say there was about 600 people. police believe the man was the intended party. many wounded are women. most likely caught in the cross fire, flying bullets. police are trying to figure out a motive. candles, messages are part of the memorial for a 16-year- old boy who was shot and killed as he rode his bike. he was shot as he left the party before 11:00 last night. it happened in the 2600 block of ritchie street.

family and friends described him as someone who loved basketball and cracking jokes. the killing of oakland's 65th homicide of the year. security forces in yemen released one woman suspected of killing two bombs. they are continuing to look for others behind the plot. as katherine brown reports, u.s. officials believe the bomb sent in the mail may have been designed to blow-up in mid-air. counterterrorism officials say they are steadily unraveling the terror plot. they are not convinced they have it neutralized. >> we can't pro presume we have identified the packages. >> security teams found two packages, containing high levels of explosive. hidden inside printing cartilages. both packages were addressed and enroute to jewish synagogues in chicago.

a spokesperson spokes person for cutter airway. and on sunday, security officials in yemen released a woman from custody who initially was suspected of mailing the packages. both the u.s. and great britain have banned all air freight including packages sent from ups and fedex. american is heading to yemen now. >> see if there is, is any methods. >> six members of the transportation security administration will make recommendation for increasing counter security. counterterrorism believes -- >> the examples we've seen, yemen, chicago is just an example on what the world is really dealing with. >> officials say this man, ib bre ham built the bomb. they also believe he built the

temperatures heating up in a hurry. lots of temperatures. 60s and 70s and sunny skies. we will see lots of sunshine, courtesy of some offshore winds. numbers starting to cool off. 52 in fairfield. 52 in pacifica. if you are traveling in the state, you'll see lots of temperatures running. and we'll see plenty of sunshine all day long. high pressure strengthening. that's going to run right to the top of the ridge. the ridge will strengthen in the next couple of days. as it continues to build in, we will see offshore winds developing. we will see the nice beautiful fall days in the bay area. that's what we are expecting. little cool in spots overnight. some of the lows down to 43 in napa. 45 in fairfield. by tomorrow afternoon, san jose, checking in at 73. 60s in the coastline. east bay numbers in the 70s and some of the warmer spots in the

bay. in the north bay, expecting plenty of sunshine. boy, the temperatures looking good as we head into the afternoon. let's check out the next seven days. we have lots of clear skies. temperatures may pick up the upper 70s. maybe some low 80s, as we're heading into the middle of the week. temperatures beginning to come down. few clouds will begin to move in. there's a chance of a few showers. by the way, the giants have a game the other night. that could be last one. that could very well be it. we're looking at partly cloudy. 76 at game time. that's the debate. do we want the giant exhibition now. >> i'd like to see it go to limit. i like the stress. lot of people say, no way. >> that's what my husband said. no matter how they win, it just win it. >> they have a great chance. >> thank you. will the end of the bay

of it. it's a sight we're seeing fewer and further between. ac transit bus services has been cut by 7.2%. >> it's very frustrating. >> a lot of bus passengers may be waiting longer and some lines like route 61 and the broadway terrace area of rock ridge and rock 74 that serves the arenda bart are now gone. >> this is on top of the 7.8% reduction of service. in december, c plans to -- ac plans to cut it in half. >> people have church, work -- it will effect a lot of people. >> elyia felts is the person. >> we want to work with transit to try to find alternate things so we will not be losing, losing all the time. >> they seem to not ever

and buster posey. and take you to the 49ers. a complete report and last but not least, oakland raiders, will take you inside the locker room. it was a great sunday for the bay area sports teams coming on game day in a couple ,, our state is in a real mess. and i'm not going to give you any phony plans or snappy slogans that don't go anywhere. we have to make some tough decisions. we have to live within our means. we have got to take the power from the state capitol and move it down to the local level, closer to the people. and no new taxes, without voter approval. we have got to pull together not as republicans or as democrats but as californians first. at this stage in my life, i'm prepared to do exactly that.
