griego. >> good morning i'm kenny choi and those temperatures don't lie. it is feeling cool once again across the bay. you can see the clouds in the sky looking at the bay bridge. looking at below average temps as we go through day. we will have clearing. 77 san jose. looking at 68 in oakland. 64 in san francisco. and 64 pacifica. we'll talk about what you can expect as we head through the rest of the workweek and into the weekend with the big cooldown in store for us tracking this upper level low. details on how that will affect our weather coming up. we are already starting off already with the delays. those of you coming out of the deep south bay on 101.
here are some pictures and images just into our real time traffic center and they show this accident. it's a fiery crash. it's on 101 just south of 85. you can see clearly from these photos it's not going anywhere any time soon. investigators are on scene. they're going to have to take some time. all lanes at this point northbound 101 are closed. all of you morgan hill super commuters you're going to need to give yourself some extra time and reroute. so far you are in the green. now you can see this 101 drive time it doesn't go as far south as 85. i'll give you a reroute in just a moment. 25 minutes there. bay bridge metering lights yet you are going to stack up headed into san francisco this morning. we are going live now to san
francisco. this is the sunset district where there was an early morning house fire. not a lot of damage to report. but some smoke filling up in a home. this is on santiago between 26th and 27th. this is a look at it a little bit earlier when the firefighters were on scene. they got the call at around 2:00 this morning. some people had to leave their home but the firefighters were able to put out that fire pretty quickly. no word on the monetary extent of the damage. back to you. police in orange county say a man who was full of anger went on a violent stabbing spree that left four people dead. a 33-year-old man was taken into custody last night after he went on the rampage in garden grove. police first got a call about a burglary at an apartment around 4:00 yesterday. over the next two hours there were several more attacks at
several nearby businesses including an insurance company, a subway, and a 7-eleven. four people are dead, and two are wounded. >> we have no motive at this point. it's just pure hate this guy did this. this is the first time i've ever seen something like this. it's pure evil when this happens and we don't see this happen every day. >> the two people injured are expected to survive. the first funerals will be held today for some of the 22 victims in the deadly mass shooting in el paso. this comes a day after president trump visited el paso where 9 people were killed. >> we met with numerous people. we met with also the doctors, the nurses, the medical staff.
they have done an incredible job. >> he made back to back visits to hospitals in dayton, ohio, and el paso, texas. cities still reeling from mass shootings this past weekend. >> i wanted to come and thank you because you're very special people. >> protesters chanted outside the hospitals in el paso. >> 22 people died. >> i find it hypocrite cal that our president comes in here to play the part of him being a sympathizer when in reality it's been in his rallies that he's painted our city as an unsafe city. >> democratic leaders want action on gun construction. >> inaction in the it's of violence and tolerance will find us and it did. >> do i think we're going to see another mass shooting tomorrow or friday probably because

cooldown as we head into today friday and by saturday. all because of this upper level low that could bring a chance of a few showers for the far north bay saturday. we'll talk about this in just a moment. first let's show you a live look outside. it's a cloudy start to the day. temperatures are running in the 50s and low 60s once again. 61 in concord. 60 in oakland. livermore coming in at 59. 57 in san francisco. 62 for san jose. 62 for santa rosa. we're tracking 18 miles per hour winds in downtown san francisco out of the west. 10 in pleasanton. check out san ramon. that is that on shore flow really kicking in for us. 14 in oakland, concord. 16 in antioche is and another windy start to the day.
your microclimate forecast taking you through the day what you can expect along the coast. low 60s and breezy. also breezy for the bay and we're going to see mostly sunny skies. daytime highs topping out in the bay for the mid 60s. well it has been a relatively cool summer for us. of course earlier in the summer we had that heat wave and we're looking at as we go through so far this summer. we've only had about 3 to 6 days with temperatures 10 degrees above or 10 degrees or higher above average for this time of year. we are looking at temperatures that will continue to cool down as we head through the next few days so right on trend with that summer weather pattern here in the bay area so far. it's all because of this low pressure system bringing that thicker marine layer. as this low push noose oregon by saturday. we could see some showers for the far northern california areas even down to parts of the
north bay possible. but here we go on future cast and you can see that clearing as you go through the day. tomorrow this morning low clouds, areas of fog. temps cooler for your friday. looking ahead to saturday with that low. we'll be watching that closely for you. daytime highs similar to yesterday today. 77 san jose. 68 in oakland and mid 60s for san francisco. there we go with that cool down. warming up sunday into next week. emily. good morning. we are starting this morning withlertths forhoou commuting out of the far south bay specific those of you who come from that morgan hill area. we've got a major issue to report. i'm going to start right down there. you can see this swath of red down there. san jose fire department is on the scene. they're in the process of trying
to clear that. of the at this point only one lane northbound is open just before you get to 285. down to one miles an hour northbound. there's really not a good reroute to that. i would just give yourself about 15 extra minutes and go ahead and sit through the slog. you're actually doing already. the only other accident is northbound 880 at coleman. doesn't seem to be blocking any lanes or causing delays at this hour. slows conditions. once you get through there you're back up to a regular running speed and looking good. there are lane closures overnight until 6:00 in the westbound direction due to that emergency construction. so far we aren't seeing any delays or backups as a result of that. the only travel time that's in the yellow is the altamonte pass. not too bad for this morning. elsewhere everything is in the green. >> and we thank you. 449 right now. a familiar face will take the
