3 (bill)>> it was a big 3 night for the silver state... as republican voters caucused for the presidential candidate of their choice... and as expected.. trump trumped everybody else.news 4's alex cannito joins us in studio with a recap of last night's events. 3 (alex)the big news this morning from here in nevada is that donald trump won the g-o-p caucus last night.across the state there were 1 thousand 784 precincts... but let's break down the numbers for here in washoe county. 3 trump dominated the caucus with 46 percent of people supporting him... that's more than 23 hundred votes. marco rubio came in second at roughly 27 percent... that's nearly 13 hundred votes. and ted cruz came in third with about 18 percent of people showing support.now to talk

confirms there were reports of double voting and not enough ballots at a high school site in las vegas.there are also reports of people being turned away or being directed to another location.the double-voting problem appears to be limited to one part of a caucus site where different precincts were combined. the party plans to compare the number of paper ballots to the sign-in sheet. 3 (samantha)>> donald trump and the other candidates weren't the only ones in the national spotlight last night... nevada's gop caucus process itself was also being watched. news 4's terri hendry fill us in. 3 ((the site opened to a crowd and a long line at the five o clock start. folks like john rabius came early saying they were excited to vote. sot: mr trump is going to be the man. he's a new yorker, i'm a new yorker. we understand each other and i'm right in there. the line moved quickly with some saying it during the peak, it took just 15 to 20 minutes to get checked in and get their ballot to vote. the only hiccup, if you could call it that, happened to a handful

he moved here from california and says he registered to vote with the dmv, but his name was not on the list. sot: a lot of people are going through trying to find whether i'm on the list, if its a dmv error or something...there were no provisional ballots on site and he says he's been waiting for more than an hour for someone to bring those ballots here. in addition to voting, there were also precinct meetings where neighbors could talk candidates, issues and party platform. shelby kolesar: we had a small business owner in our precinct and so she was really concerned about paying her employees insurance and keeping her people employed at her company. gary cage: everyone came with a pretty strong opinion. they were very interested in what's going on . the counting happened right after the caucus closed at 8:30. trump, trump, cruz.... and for the most part, despite a brief moment at this precinct when the numbers

3 (bill)3 >> new this morning... sparks police, sparks fire and remsa were on the scene last night.. of a crash that sent one person to the hospital. it happened around 10 p-m... at the intersection of sparks boulevard ane the i-80 eastbound off ramp. an early investigation show that a mini-van was going southbound on sparks boulevard.. when a car on the offramp.. ran a red light.. and hit the minivan.. sparks fire had to extricate the driver of the small car... she was then taken to renown for treatment. right now.. we do not know her condition.. nor the names of the people involved. it is also not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash. 3 (samantha)>> on the crime watch this morning... we now know the identity of one of the men involved in a high speed car chase monday night. that chase began around five p-m... after a report of an apparent larceny involving 23-year old "dominic gonzalez" and another suspect.it all came to an end at the grand sierra resort... where

custody by troopers.however, authorities are still trying to find the second suspect who ran from the car. 3 (samantha)>> n-h-p officials say he got away in a maroon passenger car with silver rims... which picked him up at the g-s-r. he is reported as a white male adult, last seen wearing a black shirt or zipper pullover and blue jeans. 3 (bill)>> in more crime news.. a carson city man accused of taking a 16-year-old girl to north dakota for prostitution has been sentenced to about eight months in prison. nineteen-year-old kevin fleming pleaded guilty to felony human trafficking on monday. fleming's north dakota sentence will run at the same time as a similar sentence in nevada. a las vegas woman was also charged with human trafficking in this case. she pleaded guilty earlier and spent about eight months in prison. 3 (sam)>> and... carson city sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help in identifying some burglary suspects.the burglary happened at the carson treasure thrift store earlier this month. deputies say money was

3 (bill)3 >> in other news this morning..... a massive boulder... larger than the size of a pick up truck..... that was blocking traffic on u- s 50 near glenbrook for two days... has now been removed. according to the nevada department of transportation.... crews took to the massive rock with a hydraulic hammer to break it apart... and remove it from the roadway piece by piece.it was 9 feet wide and six feet high.... when it first rolled into the roadway it did cause an accident.... but n- dot says.. no injuries were reported. 3 (samantha)>> the manager of a sparks bowling alley is investigating reports that a child fell eight feet from a piece of play equipment.the 3-year-old boy's mother says he was knocked unconscious saturday after falling from a climbing maze at wild island's

3 (bill)>> in health news this morning... >> the centers for disease control and prevention are investigating new reports of sexual transmission of the zika virus. the c-d-c says they are investigating 14 cases in all, and that several of them involve pregnant women.it adds the new reports suggest sexual relations might possibly be a way zika spreads.however, the most likely way to be infected with zika is through a mosquito bite.zika has been confirmed in 23 u-s states and the district of columbia.and the world health organization

will be infected in the next year. 3 (samantha)>> with the legal use of medical marijuana in the silver state... we are learning that children are needing it as well.>> children who suffer from severe epilepsy use medical marijuana. some of these cases of epilepsy are so severe that they will experience more than three- thousand seizures a day.
