police were called to the 500 block of howard street where they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. he was taken to s-f general hospital. police are still searching for a gunman. a march is planned this morning for jahi mc-nath. the teen declared brain dead after having her tonsils removed.

her family is fighting to keep the 13-year-old on life support at children's hospital oakland. a judge ruled friday that jahi could not be taken off life support until an independent neurologist examined her. the hospital says the teen has been brain dead for eleven days after suffering complications during routine surgery to remove

her tonsils. family members have asked for a second opinion, and accused the hospital of being callous. an independent medical expert could examine jahi as soon as today. jahi's uncle says they will be holding a march for her this morning at 10 am, meeting in front of children's hospital oakland.

unusually warm weather on the eastern seaboard. erica caught out is watching our forecast. >>erica: this is very unusual for this time of year. the green and yellow uc on the screen indicates rain, not snow across the entire eastern seaboard. it is colder ride around the great lakes, the midwest were temperatures today will be below the freezing mark for the afternoon highs. we're talking unseasonably a warm conditions for places like new york philadelphia washington d.c. our highs today will be in the '50s and '60s. because temperatures are clearly above freezing, that's why we are seeing rain as that of snow. looks like the system is going to drift out into the atlantic and the meantime if you have any last-minute travel plans you could see some flight delays. we will continue to monitor. here's a live look outside for our mount tam

a family is fighting to keep their 13 year-old family member alive. jackie's a soap is live at oakland children's hospital with more on what's planned for today. >>: supporters of the family of that 13 year-old are planning a march in advance of the court tearing concerning the team who is on life support care at the hospital. here's some video from yesterday when there was a rally of support for judge high. as you remember, lawyers for the make math family appeared on friday to keep her on life supports. today, there is going to be a rally and support march starting. they

stressing safety this year after the death of a young woman last year. 19-year-old alyssa byrne of petaluma went missing last new year's eve. she was attending the snowglobe music festival in south lake tahoe but never reached her hotel a few miles away. an autopsy found she likely died of hypothermia and had drugs in her system. authorities also speculate byrne tried to walk to the hotel to avoid long shuttle bus lines. this year's festival will feature double the amount of buses and extended hours for a heated tent for those waiting for rides. just two days until christmas. and for those travelers still trying to make their way to family and friends. san francisco's international airport seems relatively calm. we're now passed the peak christmas travel days. we caught up with some fliers this weekend and

two big rig accident this morning. neither of which have turned into a hot spot in terms of their impact on freeway traffic and now we have the second one here in oakland and the 98 ave on ramp. that might be the only saving grace is that it's not right on the freeway flow on the on ramp where

the trailer of a big rig is overturned and is blocking the ramp. there is a slug little slowing in the northbound direction of 885 and that's the first way we've seen any slowdown for the 880 ride north month. this could be onlookers and that means we may see a bigger back up here but the real issue is that the on ramp for we understand the tracked there remained of rights but a trailer has overturned a once again it was loaded. as a was a recycling truck reportedly overturned from old bayshore boulevards on 2101 north bound and san jose. you do see we have a little slowing here and that's about the only slowing for the ride on south bay freeways. remarkably, with traffic conditions as light as they are, two of these major incidents are having only a minor impact. a quick with a ride to the bay bridge westbound. no delay getting
