children, not physically injured. o steal worrisome for neighbors who tell kron 4 they believe this was not a random act and the home may have been targeted. 2 are dead and 35 others displaced after a 3 alarm fire in oakland. police are still not sure what caused this place. besides the 2 pen, everyone else was able to make it out safely. some are crediting to that to a neighbor. >> i took my mag light, and just scream agent the top of my lungs. >> she was a complete angel. i think that the damage done would have been tar worse if not for her. i'm forever grateful for her.

>> the coroner has not released the name of the 2 victims. the american red cross is taking care of those without homes tonight. a man shot while wielding a machete at a tsa agent is dead tonight. the agent is recovering and happy to be alive. it was a pretty scary situation for the tsa agents as well as the passengers going through security. alicia reid, how can d that agent handle the attack? >> reporter: she says she started yelling at everyone to cheer the check point. when she looked over her shoulders, the suspect wads coming after her. >> the man was within inches of whacking me with the machete. >> reporter: this is cell phone vid yoaf carol mitchell being wheeled away to the hospital.

breaking news, 1 person is dead and another critically injured in an apparent rock slide. the park service says a cliff unexpectly gave way. 2 hikers fell and were covered in rubble and rock. officials are it willing us right now that that person has potentially life-threatening

another system for tuesday, but rain well north of here. highs will go up into the 80s. vicki? 7 children from an orthodox jewish family have died in an early morning house fire in brooklyn, new york. fire investigators believe a warming plate in the kitchen ignited the fire. the victims were siblings ranging in age from 5 to 17. firefighters could not fine any smoke debilitiers opt first or sec floors of the home. there was a smoke detector in the basement, but it wasn't clear if it had been activated. may imror bill de blasio visited the home, and said every room is now empty, burned, and charred. he called this an unbelievable tragedy. >> it's up imaginable what you see in there. you can literally see what was a home for a large and strong family, and now it is wiped out. >> authorities say the mother and a teenage sister survived
