the driver is inside the chinese express restaurant on channing . outside he is parked in the bike lane i tried to talk to him hey quick question for you how you doing you do know this is a bike lane right (oh yea) you do know it says no parking right (door slams) before this driver there was driver picking up deliveries . to be delivered to college students across the street a loading zone, and why didn't he park there (i don't have yellow tage either) ha (i don't have yellow tags either) so you're really in bad shape (yea) people ignore the no parking signs and stop and in many cases bikes are forced into traffic lanes some bicyclist say it's an everyday occurrence and its not just the parking you got a door open while you're going by yea i got one of those like three months ago were you ok yea i'm alright just a few scratch on my hand but yea im ok (alright) and about a block away just before this pepsi truck parked in the bike lane i noticed this berkeley police parking enforcement buggie parked behind it.. and inside the chinese express the parking enforcement officer ordering lunch ..so i decided to have a chat with him how is

your lunch man, i haven't started yet you know this is a bike lane right i do know that you can't even park here to get lunch ok you understand that right no problem sir thank you when i look at a problem i often throw out a large net and sometimes the people tasked with enforcing the laws are the very same one ignoring the law i reached out to berkeley police who say that unless the parking officer was on official business i e issuing tickets blocking the bike lane is heavely frowned upon in closing, remember the bicycle lanea are for bikes and not for parking . there is plenty of parking available my advice . use it 942in berkeley stanley roberts kron 4 news (mark) stocks are off to a mixed start on wall street as declines in health care and consumer-focused companies outweigh gains in other parts of the market. the standard & poor's 500 index slipped 1 point to 2,471. the dow jones industrial average fell 10 points. the nasdaq composite was little changed at 6,389.
