out with your hands up (pam) breaking news at ten: just released body camera video from an officer involved shooting that happened in san francisco's panhandle neighborhood. thank you for joining us tonight.. im pam moore. (steve) and im steve aveson. police say 31-year-old joel armstrong of san francisco shot and killed a 28- year-old man and injured another man after getting into an argument.this happened two fridays ago near the golden gate park panhandle.. kron 4's grant lodes joins us in the newsroom with the breaking details that were released in a town hall about a police shooting that occurred when police finally tracked armstrong down. (grant) after the shooting, police say armstrong car jacked a person in a s-u-v. they discovered the car in mission bay, and found armstrong
inside a nearby r-v. a warning now...what happened next...is a happened next...is a barrage of bullets...and some people could find this disturbing.gunshots (grant) s-f-p-d says seven officers fired approximatelty 65 rounds.. no one was hit. police say they told armstrong to come out of that r-v...but he refsed. police then say they then heard shots coming from inside the r-v...and that's when they all returned fire. they sayarmstrong exited the r-v around 2-15 a.m. and was taken into custody. among the charges armstrong is facing: murder, 8 counts of attempted murder, car-jacking and possession of a fireman by a convicted felon.

(pam) cars in one fremont neighborhood... left stranded. police say, tires have been stolen off several vehicles ... leaving owners with an expensive bill. (pam) police say, it happened just before 4 -this morning... leaving car without wheels. (steve) the thief or thieves jacked up several cars.. took the tires and is still on the loose. kron 4's charles clifford went out to fremont and has more details. well, car break ins are all to common theses days and it's not unheard of for someone to steal a tire but take a look behind me here. some stole all four tires?! now police are investigating.nats according the the fremont police department, early tuesday morning someone stole all the tires off of three vehicles parked along streets in the ardenwood neighborhood. officers responded to the area
just after 4 am tuesday on reports of a suspicious person in 3434 thousand block of pueblo terrace . when they the arrived on scene, the person was gone but his/her handiwork remained. this car along siward drive was missing all four tires and the vehicle was propped precariously on rock. just around the corner on crandallwood drive this white car was also missing all four tires, but by tuesday afternoon the owner had apparently put on the spare tire and set the car on a proper jack. a discarded brick and jack sitting nearby. sotrichard pedersen has lived in the area for seven years and says he doesn't remember anything like this ever happening before.soti mean it is pretty crazy.he says it's not uncommon for people to leave cars sitting unmoved along the street for months on end but there have been few break ins. sotnot really. this is probably the weirdest thing around here at this point.so far, investigators have not identified the suspect nor have they said if any of the stolen tires were recovered. finally, police say they have so far been unable to find any surveillance video that might help them identify the suspect. in fremont, charles clifford kron 4 news.

in mill valley around 2 am on saturday. she says the man was aggressive towards his female friend first but she dropped her off and didn't think anything of it. sot she had mentioned that she was concerned about leaving him alone with me...felt like i'd be okay... we've reached out to police and uber but are awaiting their responses on what went down. we aren't yet naming the person in question but we showed a picture of the man jill identified to some off camera and they recognized him right away as someone who has targeted women in mill valley. jill says the minute she was alone with the man, who is still out there, it started. sot i slowed down at the first entrance and that's when he got aggresive and asked if he could do a bump of cocaine off my chest...then he started reaching for my sweater and pulling on my sweater...started pulling on the back of my neck again and that's basically the gist of it.
school is expected to re-open tomorrow morning after a threat prompted officials to shut it down early. the message citing today's date was discovered inside the school. no one was hurt, but as kron four's terisa estacio reports, students and law enforcenment officials say, after what happened in florida, no one is taking any chances. police say they were contacted early tuesday morning after receiving a call from analy high school about a threatening message discovered in the boys bathroom. max lameyse attends analy high school in sebastopol. max. we were concerned. dr. steven kellner, superintendent. we did this out of an abundance of caution. we shutdown school early. max says his teacher told him to text his mother -
you can see that there, he says everyone was on their phones reaching out to their parents. max. alot of kids were unsettled. sgt. joe furry. there is definitely with the recent tragedies we take very seriously and err on the side of caution. sgt joe furry with the sebastopol police department says they are investigating. he added that with what happened in florida recently where 17 people were killed when an expelled student opened fire, no one is taking any chances. currently, they are checking surveillance video around the bathrooms where the threatening message was discovered. sgt. furry. was it credible? i can't devuldge much now. school will resume as normal on wednesday. superintendent. is this the new normal? i hope not, we want kids to be able to feel safe about going to school. in sebastopol, terisa estacio kron four new
a death a death threat is found in the student restroom... at a high school in an east bay city.. as a result, hundreds of students stayed home, while others came to school with knowledge of the threat, hoping that nothing would happen. this is a photo of a threat with the words... "everyone is dead" written on a bathroom stall. it was found yesterday at alameda high school in alameda. students who spotted the message are on edge...after the february 14th florida school shooting...where 17 people lost their lives. the threat was real enough for some parents to keep their children home from school.(sot) the alameda high the alameda high school administrators immediately contacted the alameda police department and
the police went over and investigated"> alameda investigated"> alameda police investigators are continuing their search for the student who wrote the threat. a student can be suspended... and arrested if caught writting a threat like this at school. (pam) ice agents have made as many as 150 -arrests throughout northern california ... during their latest immigration sweeps. the locations of the arrests are not clear. we learned that ice agents were conducting operations throughout the bay area over the weekend. kron 4's ella sogomonian spoke with an immigration attorney .. she is here in the studio with more. ella how long can we expect these raids to go on? this isn't the end of it ice this isn't the end of it ice reports there are nearly 900 more people in the bay area lone they are going after two of which are believed to be living in oakland.

(pam) in the east bay... hundreds of residents were forced to shelter- in -place for a little over an hour this afternoon, when it was discovered a hazardous chemical was leaking from a nearby rail car. (steve) it happened near city park in pittsburg kron 4's dan kerman has more it was about 1230 tuesday affternoon when rail crews smelled an unknown substance in this pittsburg rail yard along north parkside drive. fire and hazmat crews were called to the scene and they determined a chemical was indeed leaking from one of the parked rail cars.sot robert marshall/contra costa co. fire

two weeks since the massacre and the florida high school students are preparing to go back to class tomorrow .. meantime -- lawmakers in their state -- and in washington, d.c. -- are getting pressure from students to do something about gun control. (pam) sexting among teenagers around the world is on the rise...with nearly a third of teens saying... they have received sexually explicit images or messages...that's according to a new study by the american medical association... the numbers are troubling to a lot of parents...the study shows .... one- in -seven teenagers aged 12 to 17 are sexting. and that one- in- four has been sent a sexually explicit message of some kind...the researchers say, this can cause emotional distress in many cases -- especially for pre-teens. the study was not confined to american kids ..... it looked at more than 110-thousand teenagers from around the world. one of the biggest concerns -- photos that are being forwarded and shared without the consent of the original sender.. researchers say, parents should not be surprised.... given the fact that almost everyone has a cell phone and digital access. they're recommending that age- specific information on

(steve) according to a new study... raising one child costs more than 233-thousand dollars for a middle-income family. and that doesn't include the cost of college.
