( darya ) in the north bay, police found a woman's body on the playground of an elementary school. the body was found at snow elementary in napa yesterday afternoon. officials say there was no school function before the body was found. police say there is no immediate threat to the community. parents are being notified of the situation and school will be in session ( darya ) on the peninsula ... mountain view police arrest two men who they say tried to kidnap a woman. walter ramirez and guillermo perez of menlo park are in jail this morning. the attempted kidnapping happened on the 200 block of castro street on saturday morning. police say two men tried to shove a woman into their car

... then fired several rounds as her friends tried to help. a witness thinks one of the men is the victim's ex- boyfriend. police say the woman was not physically hurt in the attempted kidnapping. ( darya ) one person is dead after jumping over a median on i-880 in oakland. chp got a call about a crash between a semi and a car on sunday afternoon. when they arrived ... the driver of the car ran across the freeway jumped over the median and fell on the street. first responders tried c-p-r ... but the person died at the scene. police are trying to figure out why the driver ran off. ( james ) former fbi director james comey is breaking his silence about president trump. during an interview last night, comey says the president is morally unfit for the office.

( james ) a washington post poll shows that 48- percent of americans believe comey. that's compared to 32-percent who trust the president. a different poll taken last spring - when president trump fired comey - showed very similar numbers... suggesting the dispute has become to partisan... many people find it difficult to change their minds.

( james ) happening today... president trump's personal attorney will ask a judge to stop the fbi from looking through his records. the department of justice announced friday that michael cohen is under criminal investigation in regards to his business dealings. cohen has admitted to paying stormy daniels 130-thousand dollars to keep quiet about an alleged affair with mister trump before his presidency. daniels will be at today's hearing. ( darya ) police in the east bay are investigating a house fire that displaced six people. it happened on via san ardo near bockman road in san lorenzo on sunday evening. firefighters quickly put out the fire. officials say the fire started in a converted garage and spread to the home's attic. no injuries were reported. the red cross will assist the family with temporary housing. out at the europa hotel in the north beach neighborhood sunday morning. firefighters rescued a 70-year old man from the room where the fire started. he was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. we spoke to a guest who rushed out of the hotel to escape. ( james ) no one else was hurt in the fire. ( darya ) president trump ordered bombings in syria over the weekend... and the act is not sitting well with some people in the bay area. protesters marched in oakland standing against what they consider military agression by the united states and its allies. the airstrikes were in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack in syria that left dozens dead. but protestors believe there's another reason for the strikes.

the former minister convicted of child molestation has been sentenced to more than 34 years in prison. fernando maldonado was recently captured in mexico and brought back to the u-s last week. last year he was convicted on more than 20 sex abuse counts. police first counts. police first arrested maldonado in 2016... after a teen told police he abused her when she was 13. the former pastor worked at the grace bible church in pleasant hill. ( darya ) a shooting on 580 eastbound shut down part of the highway saturday night.. and the shooter is still on the loose. chp says one of their officers pulled someone over for a traffic stop... when nearly two dozens shots were fired by a passerby. fortunately

( james ) palo alto police are looking for a man who robbed a bank dressed like a constuction worker. this a survallience photo of that robber. police say he demanded money with a gun tucked into his waistband. it happened friday afternoon at the comerica bank on lytton avenue. police say when the teller went to a back room, the man jumped over the counter and took money. ( james ) the largest gun show on the west coast made a stop in daly city... and so did anti-gun violence protestors. the cow

palace has hosted the crossroads of the west gun show for over 30 years. a small group of protestors stood outside the event. they told us they simply wanted to have conversations with people attending the event... not to shout or argue. one couple had mixed emotions presence. ( james ) a student protestor said the deadly parkland shooting inspired him to advocate against gun violence. ( darya ) opposition is growing as local governments plan on joining president trump's lawsuit against california. the u-s justice department sued california last month over it's sanctuary state status. city leaders in los alamitos in orange county are scheduled to vote on a proposal today ... to exempt the community from the state law. san diego county board of

( darya ) happening today ... a town hall meeting is set to discuss illegal dumping in the city of oakland. the east oakland congress of neighborhoods has scheduled a public meeting at 6 p-m today. it will be at the st. anthony's school gym ... at the corner of east 15th street and 16th avenue. organizers say the purpose of the meeting is to ask that the city budget include money for more cleanup crews, inspectors and lighting. oakland mayor libby schaaf will be attending. ( james ) in national news ... the health of the nation's oldest living first lady, barbara bush -- is in decline this morning. the 92 year old matriarch of the bush family has been in and out of the hospital several times over the the last year. she's been battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure. bush reportedly doesn't want to go back to a hospital and is being cared for at her home in houston. she's been married to former president george herbert walker bush for 73 years. paying sales tax on online purchases is heading to the u-s supreme court. retailers like amazon and walmart collect sales tax on all online sales in the 45 states with a statewide sales tax. many smaller retailers don't -- unless they have a physical presence in the state where the buyer lives. the trump administration will join the argument in favor of online retailers being required to collect sales taxes everywhere. ( darya ) police in southern california have seized more than half a million dollars worth of counterfeit make-up. police raided 21 locations in the city's fashion district downtown. the fake cosmetics imitated popular brands and some of it was contaminated with bacteria and human waste. the investigation was initiated after customers called the cosmetic companies with complaints about rashes and bumps caused by the products.

mountain view police arrest two men who they say tried to kidnap a woman. walter ramirez and guillermo perez of menlo park are in jail this morning. the attempted kidnapping happened on the 200 block of castro street on saturday morning. police say two men tried to shove a

woman into their car ... then fired several rounds as her friends tried to help. a witness thinks one of the men is the victim's ex-boyfriend. ( darya ) police in the east bay are investigating a house fire that displaced six people. it happened on via san ardo near bockman road in san lorenzo on sunday evening. firefighters quickly put out the fire. officials say the fire started in a converted garage and spread to the home's attic. no injuries were reported. the red cross will assist the family with temporary housing. ( james ) a hotel fire injured an elderly man in san francisco. the fire broke out at the europa hotel in the north beach neighborhood sunday morning. firefighters rescued a 70-year old man from the room where the fire started. he was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. we spoke to a guest who rushed out of the hotel to escape.

the former minister convicted of child molestation has been sentenced to more than 34 years in prison. fernando maldonado was recently captured in mexico and brought back to the u-s last week. last year he was convicted on more than 20 sex abuse counts. police first arrested maldonado in 2016... after a teen told police he abused her when she was 13. the former pastor worked at the grace bible church in pleasant hill.
