(philippe)andy lie/juhsd/nats- "so here we are at the site." if andy lie (lee) gets his way...andy lie/juhsd/nats- "right now, this is a parking lot." in four years -- this former serramonte high school parking lot in daly city... will morph into an 80-unit affordable housing complex for educators and administrators in the jefferson union high school district.andy lie/juhsd- "this will be below market rate housing -- we are targeting 50-percent below market rate when we open hopefully in the fall of 20-22." but first voters will have to approve a bond measure to fund the project. it's on the june ballot for san mateo county voters as measure-j. lie (lee) -- who is president of the board of trustees for the school district -- supports it. a yes vote would allow the district to issue up to 33- million dollars in bonds at a rate of seven dollars per every 100-thousand dollars of assessed property value from 20-19 through at least 20-42. andy lie/juhsd- "so, if your home is assessed by the county at 800,000, that means you'll be paying $56 per year for

with minimal annual raises -- she's struggling to keep up. if cheaper, district-owned housing was available -- she says she'd sign up.marlene gutierrez/teacher- "i have to be optimistic." if the measure passes, a citizen oversight committee would monitor how the money is being spent. educators would also have a seven to ten year cap of living in the units... theoretically enough time for them to save enough money to eventually buy their own home. in san mateo county, philippe djegal, kron four news.
