women, even worked with students at a middle school.. kron 4' justine waldman looks at the accusations, and the concern about the possibility of there being other victims. sot we don't generally see females as the predators but that is the case here self-described best friends according to the santa clara county sheriff's office - 24 year old talia sisco of saratoga on the left and 23 year old tina pourani of san jose on the right - both face charges of having sex with teenage boys.sot i think it it is horrible it is praying on the most vulnerable women men anyone who abuses a child needs to go to prisonsanta clara county sheriff laurie smith tells me right now there are 3 victims, and possibly a 4th. ,, the victims are 15 and 16 years old.the investigation into alleged abuse started in april.sisco was then a student-teacher at bernal middle school in san jose.the oak grove school district tells kron 4 news it immediately removed her from the classroom, when it learned of the accusations.sot how they knew the victims was through families and friends it had nothing to do with the school.the victims attend a local high school.and the sheriff says investigators collected "extensive evidence of a graphic sexual nature." some showed the two suspects bragged to each other about their encounters calling themselves "sexual deviants." sisco is being held without bail at the elmwood women's

the three main suspects are these brothers... eduardo, jorge, and julio viera... all from richmond. it was a three month long investigation that led to their arrest. richmond detectives say they found ninety thousand dollars worth of cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine along with eighty thousand dollars in cash while searching the brother's home. the police department is crediting tips from the community for helping with the success of the investigation. each suspect is beng held on one million dollars bail. in world news. the other shoe has dropped. china firing ck today by raising tariffs on american products. this after president trump announced the u-s will start enforcing a 25- percent tariff on chinese goods in the next few weeks. kron 4's sara stinson joins us in studio with more on what could be the beginning of a trade war. marty - china is one of the united states' largest trading partners.president trump insists increasing tariffs by

25-percent on 50-billion dollars worth of chinese goods -- are meant to protect american jobs.trump says the move is designed to punish china for stealing american technology and trade secrets china responded saying the united states has "launched a trade war."this will impact the cost of any products made of steel and aluminum such as cars, canned foods and beverages. when trump first threatened to increase tariffs - the u-s beer giant miller coors released a statement saying this action will likely lead to job losses across the beer industry. in the bay area we are so close to wine country - another industry that could see impacts. < "argentine, chile, austraila all of those countries are poised to take the market share in china...and once that substitution occurs it's very difficult to get market share back.>(sara) china warned it will retaliate and then trump threatened

chase. ( marty )for your health this morning... alameda county health officials say there is an increase of whooping cough cases compared to last year. so far in 2018 there have been 180 cases of whooping cough. and over 60-percent of cases are among teenagers.

there were only 40 cases last year. whooping cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease. it is spread when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. it can be spread up to three weeks after the cough starts. pregnant women and people who are near and around infants and children are encouraged to get vaccinated. ( marty )health officials have added the state of california to the list where cut melon may be contaminated with salmonella. the f-d-a has recalled pre-cut watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe sold at well-known grocery stores. some of those stores include walmart, wlagreens and costco. anyone who has recently purchased cut melons are advised to throw it away. california is one of 23 states who have received these warnings. ( marty ) sex and drug use are on the decline among teenagers in the united states. that's according to the c-d-c. the report provides data from 2007 to 20-17. it shows the percentage of teens who reported ever having sex has declined over a decade.

of 6 fare inspectors to curb the problem. the bart board had been planning to add more inspectors to the team... but they've decided to hold offsot bevan dufty / bart board director 24-30we're not going to add 2 more cso's until such time as we have full information and appreciation of where we stand.in the three months the program has been fully operational, inspectors have contacted 18,388 riders, and cited 1,633, about 8% who could not show proof they paid. but before spending money on additional inspectors the bart board wants to see the program operate another three months, see if there's any drop in evasion, if those being cited are actually paying their tickets, and if the method of stopping people is fare and equitable sotthis is something that's absolutely important and we are not putting the breaks on it, we're continuing with the existing program and after 6 months the gm will have good informationmost bart riders we spoke too hadn't seen the inspectors at all, but some saw the value in the programsot if bart's successful they are saving some money by having these monitors , so its a win win situation for everybodyand while other think fare evasion is important, they believe there are more significant

( marty ) in the north bay. a man is in jail this morning, he's accused of attacking a truck driver in his cab. it happened early thursday morning on weller street in petaluma. the 65- year- old truck driver was sleeping... when police say, 44-year-old damion grissom .. banged on the door. when the truck driver opened it, officers say, grissom attacked him with a blunt instrument and punched him. grissom then ran off ... but he dropped his wallet inside the truck. that lead police to his location. grissom was arrested and booked into sonoma county jail on $30 -thousand bail. ( marty ) a shooting in colorado that left a 13- year old boy dead ..was apparently triggered by road rage. a 12 year old told police he saw a driver open fire on his family during a confrontation. that killed his older brother...critically wounded his mother and younger brother. police tracked down a gunman hours after the shooting. jeremy webster acknowledged he shot four people. and told officers he has "mental health issues" webster is now facing charges including first degree

we are highlighting some of the good work food banks across the bay area are doing every day. kron four's philippe djegal reports on the alameda county community food bank's grocery rescue program. (philippe)jon berman/store manager- "we have about 10 cases of food we're giving away today, which otherwise would go in the compost." instead, while customers at berkeley natural grocery sift through and pick the food they want to buy... the stuff that doesn't make the shelves gets packed up in the back -- headed to another destination. jon berman/store manager- "this is a piece of rubarb, and its got some blemishes on it, you cut that away and its just as good as any product we have on our shelf." jon berman is the store manager, partnering with the alameda county community food bank and it's grocery rescue program.

jon berman/store manager- "we won't give anything that we don't trust completely -- that we wouldn't eat ourselves." twice a week... berkeley natural grocery boxes up perfectly edible and safe food that otherwise may be thrown out... then donates it to the berkeley food pantry, which picks up the boxes, and, organizes the items at it's location... where those less fortunate can pack a cart with food to feed their families.dharma galang/berkele y food pantry- "since we're participated in grocery rescue, we've never had a food shortage. before that, we would actually run out of food at times, but since we started this program, we have never run out of food. so, we've never had to turn anyone away with nothing." in the past six years... berkeley natural grocery has donated about 140-thousand pounds of food to the food bank... which has about 200 partners collecting and distributing food throughout the county.

( marty )for your health this morning... alameda county health officials say there is an increase of whooping cough cases compared to last year. so far in 2018 there have been 180 cases of whooping cough. and over 60-percent of cases are among teenagers. there were only 40 cases last year. whooping cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease. it is spread when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. it can be spread up to three weeks after the cough starts. pregnant women and people who are near and around infants and children are encouraged to get vaccinated. ( marty ) in the north bay. a man is in jail this morning, he's accused of attacking a truck driver in his cab. it happened early thursday morning on weller street in petaluma. the 65- year- old truck driver was sleeping... when police say, 44-year-old damion grissom .. banged on the door. when the truck driver opened it, officers say, grissom attacked him with a blunt instrument and punched him. grissom then ran off ... but he dropped his wallet inside the truck. that lead police to his location. grissom was arrested and booked into sonoma county jail on $30 -thousand bail.
