( will ) breaking from overnit.. at least 3 people ardead and 200 others injured after an earthquake hit japan over night. this is video of the shaking and the aftermath. it was a 5- point-3 magnitude quake. a 9-year-old girl is among the dead. she was trapped by a damaged wall in a swimming pool at her school. the other victims were both men in their 80's. 214 people were injured. at least 700 people have been evacuated. ( will ) another big story we are following this morning... lawmakers and protesters marched against the trump administration's zero- tolerance policy separating children from their parents at the border. marches took

place all across the country. so far thousands of children have been separated from their parents. this comes as congress gets ready to take up two immigration bills later this week. ( darya ) and here in the bay area... many used father's day to protest the separation of children from parents seeking asylum.( will ) kron 4's lydia pantazes joins us live from richmond. lydia... ( lydia )in front of the ice detention center families protested for hours on sunday karina sanchez knows all too well about ice detention. her husband of 9 years was recently detained and held in this same building.his wife and children are citizens, but there's a chance he may still be sent back to mexico. karina's husband is now back to workthey currently know people who are still locked up. and although these allies may not know who they areon father's day ... they're protesting the cruel separation of children from parents seeking asylum.

station. the victim suffered only minor injuries... the attackers are still on the loose. ( will ) in the east bay.... a day at the park turns violent... after a fight between children leads to brawl between adults in brentwood. this video was shot by a viewer. it happened in veteran's park on saturday. police say a child was hurt by another kid while playing. two families confronted each other... and the argument quickly turned violent. about 50 people were involved in the brawl. 4 people were arrested... including one man who was tased by police. ( darya ) in the north bay... the santa rosa fire department is investigating multiple brush fires. over the weekend, firefighters went to the area of hearn avenue and the railroad tracks for multiple calls for bursh fires.

crews found three separate fires. then there were multiple calls for fires near dutton and west third street and along the santa rosa creek trail. the largest fire was estimated to be a quarter of an acre. ( darya ) in the east bay a man is in critical condition after being stabbed in a parking lot. yesterday morning there was a fight in the parking lot at the delta fair shopping center. the victim was found on the ground suffering from several stab wounds. polce arrested a man and charged him with felony assault. ( will ) fairfield police arrested a man after finding a handgun in his car near a playground. omari garland was arrested and booked into the solano county jail. police were originially called about a man exposing himself in a public park. officers found garland in a car with several containers of alcohol. when police searched the car they found a handgun. ( will ) a hit-and-run in brisbane sends a sam-trans bus driver to the hospital. the crash happened saturday night. fortunately... the driver was not seriously hurt and has since been released

from the hospital. 7 passengers were also on the bus... none of them reported any injuries. a sam-trans spokesperson says the hit- and-run driver was found. morning... mosquitoes in santa clara county have tested positive for west nile virus. now the county is planning to spray portions of santa clara county tomorrow night. the spraying will take pace north of el camiono real and east of arques avenue. it will start at 11:00 o'clock tuesday night and last for about four hours. ( darya ) happening today... road work continues on the eastbound lanes of the rohnert park expressway. the road work is scheduled this week from 7 a-m to 7 p-m... today through friday. there will be at least one east bound lane open during the contruction. ábut jasmine circle will be closed... you can use snyder lane as an alternative. westbound lanes will not be affected during the road work. ( darya ) in the east bay... a barbeque competition and festival in martinez turns violent... when animal rights activists start protesting. kron 4's sara stinson has the story. reporter intro: ("animal rights activists here in berkeley are recovering after their peaceful protest at a bbq) nat of videoyou're looking at the chaos that ensued at the "king of the country" bbq challenge and music festival in martinez on saturday. ("nats")rowland says him and 14 other activists from direct action everywhere went to the event to protest.as the winners of the bbq contest were being announced the activists took to the stage to give a speech.once he began talking about animal rights - the crowd became enraged.("at that point it continued to escalate where attendees continued to shove us, yelling obscenities. putting bbq in our faces, shoving us.")then it became violent. county are looking for more possible vicrtims after two women are arrested... accused of having sex with underage boys. according to the the santa clara county sheriff's office talia sisco of saratoga and tina pourani of san jose called themselves sexual deviants. the alleged abuse happened back in april. investigators say sisco was a student teacher at bernal middle school in san jose at the time. so far the sheriff's department has identified 3 victims who are 15 and 16 years old... but police say there could be other victims. ( will ) 3 people had to be rescued from a cliff in pacifica. the 2 teens and an adult were stranded friday

night... after hiking in the shelter cove area. it took crews 13 hours to finally reach the trio after late night fog prevented rescue attempts. the three hikers were reunited with family and checked by paramedics and were able to go home. ( darya ) after nearly a decade under construction. a new transbay transit center opened over the weekend in downtown san francisco. the bus service runs through the ground floor of the transit center. s-f mta officials say moving the bus stops to the terminal will help with traffic. so far ... three bus lines are serving the new location. and commuters say they like the new service:

texas on sunday.sen. jeff merkley: "the president has also argued in the last few days that this policy gives him political leverage with legislation. hurting kids to get legislative leverage is unacceptable. it is evil." customs and border protection released these photos sunday of the detention facility in mcallen, texas.the media was able to tour the facility but barred from shooting any pictures or video due to what customs officials cited as privacy concerns.congress members who saw inside compared it to a prison. rep. mark pocan: "you don't think a child who is in this facility who has a 6 by 10 living area - by the way a supermax prison cell is 8 by 12 - a six by ten area and you get out two hours a day? that to i think a child 10 years old i a prison." homeland security secretary kirstjen nielsen took to twitter late sunday denying any policy of separating families at the border saying... "...we have continued the policy from previous administrations and will only separate if the child is in danger, there is no custodial relationship between 'family' members, or if the adult has broken a law."

( darya ) san francisco police are searching for the person who viciously attacked a mother.. while she was carrying her baby. the victim was walking down sanchez street and 28th street when someone hit her in the head... sending her to the ground. the incident happened back on june third... the mom went to the hospital for emergency surgery. she did stay in the hospital for a week but she cannot go back to work for another month. jessica farb is a long time friend of the victim. she says the attack happened right outside the woman's house: ( darya ) the baby was not harmed in the attack. police have not released a description of the attacker. bay... police are investigating the death of a man at the berkeley marina. it happened saturday night. the body of a boater was spotted by a bystander... who called for help. rescuers found the body near an outrigger canoe. police don't believe there was anyone else in the canoe when it overturned. ( will ) police in american canyon have released a surveillance picture of a car they're looking for... that's tied to a string of car vandalism cases. they are looking for this dark blue dodge charger. police say 20 cars were vandalized either late thursday or early friday morning. police are asking people on the east side of american canyon to look through their home surveillance system... specifically in the early morning hours of friday. ( will ) a measure that would expand the ability of local governments to enact rent control has qualified for the november ballot. if passed... it would give cities more authority in limiting the rents property owners may

charge for new tenants. to qualify... it needed more than 365-thousand signatures. the measure received more than 400-thousand as of friday. ( will ) an electrical malfunction sparked a fire that damaged a motel near the santa cruz boardwalk. the fire happened early yesterday morning at the torch lite inn on riverside avenue. when firefighters got to the scene... they saw heavy smoke coming from the roof. no one was hurt. ( darya ) bart is going after fare evaders who are costing the system ámillions of dollars each year. bart did add a team of six fare inspectors at the beginning of the year. the bart planning board had been planning to add more inspectors to the team..but those plans have been put on hold. in the first three months inspectors have cited over 16-hundred people who could not show proof they paid. but before spending money on additional inspectors... the bart board wants to see if there is any change in evaders.

father's day.. his dad sure was.. the dad who told kepka he couldn't quit school and go pro.. in any sport.. cuz he was also that good at baseball and basketball. he stuck with school and with golf.. and yesterday became just the 3rd pro-golfer ever to win a back-to-back national championship. an incredible feat considering how impossible it for most of us to even have two great golf games in a row. yet.. on father day.. his dad posted a poinant letter about how proud he is.. and his dad was also quite frank about how he failed k-d.. disappearing for a large part of his life and how thankful he is that his forgave him and let him back in to his life and how close they've become. that's probably the hardest thing to accept as a kid.. that our parents are just human and they make mistakes.. probably the biggest gift we can get as parents is for our kids to forgive us for not being perfect. cuz we all want to be but we're not. ( will )happening now. investigators in santa clara county are looking for more possible vicrtims after two women are arrested... accused of having sex with underage boys. according to the the santa clara county sheriff's office talia sisco of saratoga and tina pourani of san jose called themselves sexual deviants. the alleged abuse happened back in april. investigators say sisco was a student teacher at bernal middle school in san jose at the time. so far the sheriff's department has identified 3 victims who are 15 and 16 years old... but police say there could be other victims. american canyon have released a surveillance picture of a car they're looking for... that's tied to a string of car vandalism cases. they are looking for this dark blue dodge charger. police say 20 cars were vandalized either late thursday or early friday morning. police are asking people on the east side of american canyon to look through their home surveillance system... specifically in the early morning hours of friday. how kevin durant's dad celebrated his son... since k-d doesn't have kids yet.. on father day.. his dad posted a poinant letter about how proud he is.. and his dad was also quite frank about how he failed k-d.. disappearing for a large part of his life and how thankful he is that his forgave him and let him back in to his life and how close they've become. that's probably the hardest thing to accept as a kid.. that our parents are just human and they make mistakes.. probably the biggest gift we can get as parents is for our kids to forgive us for not being perfect. cuz we all want to be but we're not.
