to see more action this weekend.. raiders play the rams on saturday niners face the texans in houston. the pre-season games are better than nothin.. and when it's a superbowl rematch you can't help but watch.. tom brady played the entire first half as if the game really meant something.. he threw 19 passes and two touchdowns.. not bad for his first game at 41 years old.. 287 in dog years. the patriots beat the eagles 37 to 20. what a consolation prize.. for the eagles, this meaningless loss could mean a lot... becaues nick foles strained his shoulder and we don't know how bad it is yet. a lot of people thought colin kaepernick was untouchable since leaving the 49ers because of his national anthem protest.. but it turns out the qb did have an offer. john elway was just asked if he'd hire kaep and he said "as
9:50 am
i said in my deposition he had his chance to be a bronco and passed. " turns out weeks before the 2016 draft.. the 9ers and brocon's worked out a trade that would have sent him to denver... but kaep declined.. probably because he was gonna get 7 mill instead of the 12 he was making. he says he can't get a job because the nfl blackballed him. oh and then there's the meaningless penalty handed to the pitcher who hit a rookie on purpose because he was getting too many home runs.. i'll spare you my speech again over how dangerous it was that marlins jose urena pitched a 97 mph fast ball at braves rookie ronald acuna junior.. luckily it only got him in the elbow and he was able to play yesterday. urena's punishment: he's suspended for 6 games.. which is really just one start. way to come down on beaning mlb.
9:51 am
and giants catcher nick hundley got a slap on the wrist for taunting yasiel puig.. puig is the one who got physical.. so puig is suspended for two games.. because he shoved and took a swing at hundley which then set off the basebrawl.. hundley was just trash talking.. so he just gets a fine.. and then there's the fan who actually got rewarded for behaving badly.. it happened during the final round of the bridgestone invitational two weeks ago.. we're just hearing about it from tiger's caddie. the guy was swearing and being a jerk.. so the caddie says how bout you go away.. he says if you give me $25 i paid for my ticket i will.. which is weird in itself cuz if you're that passionate about hating tiger that it only takes 25 bucks to say ok i'll leave.. but then the guy kept hounding tiger until the cops hauled him off the course. and if you're a regular kron viewer..
