(ken) the governor has declared an emergency, and all public and charter schools on the big island and maui are closed until further notice.many areas already seeing several inches of rain.. and strong winds.... as residents brace for the worst of the storm to head their way in the coming days. once the damage is done.for now red cross evacuation centers are prepped.pkgthe red cross has deployed over 200 volunteers to the hawaiian islands.on the ground, ready to work at evacuation centers, post landfall centers, do damage assessmentwith more than 1 million people already seeing the first signs of hurricane lane ... a lot of families outside the hazard areas havve been advised to shelter at home.gonna be a serious flooding event. there's already a foot of rain in the big island. and serious flooding event we need people to prepare for. so helping people remember to stock up on supplies, stay out of water filled roadways until the govt gives an all clear. and pay attention to local resources for information.for those that have to head to an evacutation center, we've also pre- positioned supplies. cots, blankets, comfort kits, emergency supplies on the different islands ready to go

"this trip was one of our very first conversations when we
first met."sailing on the "blue moon" from san francisco to hawaii...check it off...and now another feat."it'll be our first hurricane together." minutes into our interview... an alert from the us coast guard of honolulu."in preparation for potential aid, navigation, outages associated with hurricane lane." so the hurricane prep begins. "one of the things that the wind can really catch are these sails."securing the boat...as strong winds are en route to waikiki."something like this, the wind can catch it. just turns it into a missile and it'll fly."su: russ and jannell aren't just preparing the blue moon to sail back home. they're headed to the north pacific ocean first, for a passage through the great pacific garbage patch.and what exactly is the garbage patch?"all of the trash that ends up in the ocean from the coastal waters from every country ends up finding its way into this naturally occurring circular current and it gets trapped there."once the storm passes, russ and janell plan to navigate the pacific ocean into a large area of swirling, plastic debris...working with a professor from the university of hawaii...the couple will dive into the garbage patch and attach tracking devices onto debris for researchers to study. "these are bigger
things than what you normally see and a lot of them came from the tsunami."an expedition delayed by hurricane lane...but they're ready, equipped with an advanced radio system and gps. (pam) david pecker is the c-e-o of american media inc.he told investigators ... that donald trump had knowledge of michael cohen's payments.
c-n-n's brin gingras has the details. --another trump ally cooperating with investigators... and this one's gaining immunity for doing so.the wall street journal reporting david pecker -- who runs the national enquirer and is a long-time friend of trump's -- worked with federal prosecutors in their michael cohen investigation and discussed the deals the two men brokered to quash bad press about the president prior to the 2016 election.details of pecker's immunity deal coming out just hours after trump complained to fox news about people flipping.president donald trump:"everything is wonderful and then they get 10 they flip the next highest one is or as high as you can go. it almost ought to be outlawed. it's not about somebody, in other words make up stories if you don't know, they just make up lies." pecker was subpoenaed by the

old paul paez and 39-year old donte holloway both from oakland.police tracked them down using surveillance video, dmv databases, licence plate readers and cell phone data. court documents show that paez followed le after closing her restaurant in oakland to alameda.and he allegedly tried to steal her purse, when she resisted, he punched her in the face.which made her fall and hit her head on the sidewalk.holloway, the documents say, hit le and her daughters boyfriend who was with her, in the head with a metal pipe.documents show the holloway admitted to be there and swinging the pipe.sot it doesn't make it any better what happened happened we just want justice cindy's family asked that we not share any picture of her...but did send a statement to kron 4 after learning about the arrests: "this tragedy has been extremely difficult and painful for our entire family. however, the amount of love and support we have received from this community has helped ease our sorrows and helped restore our faith in humanity."
