( darya ) kron 4's sara stinson is live on the scene with the latest. sara? you can see there is heavy police presence here on bush and leavenworth...police say they are investigating a hit and run. a security guard for the st. francis memorial told me it was a woman who was hit by a car here and then the driver took off.take a look at the video you can see all that is left in this crime scene is a bumper of sorts. officers are going to nearby buildings
trying to get security cam footage pointing at the intersection. no word yet on the condition of the person hit here. officers say this is very early into the investigation so details are limited. live in sf, sara stinson kron four news. 6-hundred block of 23rd street. one man was shot and killed. police remained on scene until midnight investigating. the second shooting happened just after 9:30 near the intersection of 11th and center streets. one man was also shot and killed. police do not have anyone in custody. ( darya ) the all clear has been given to facebook's campus in menlo park after a bomb threat was called in. n-y-p-d crime stoppers called menlo park police just before 5 last night saying they've received a bomb threat at building 23 on the facebook campus. the entire campus was evacuated as a precaution. police did not find a device or any suspicious packages. ( james ) new this morning.... attorneys for ghost ship warehouse master tenant derick almena and max harris have filed a request that the building's owners and oakland police officers and firefighters be arrested. almena and harris are charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the fire during the concert in 20-16.
the request says 5 firefighters and three police officer visited the warehouse before the fire but never did anything to address the problems. almena and harris say the officials and the building's owners should be held accountable and prosecuted. almena and harris's trial begins in april. ( james ) a big story this morning... the city of oakland has filed a federal lawsuit against the raiders... and the rest of the n-f-l as a whole. the 353-page lawsuit calls the team's upcoming move to las vegas illegal... and refers to the n- f-l as a cartel. the city is seeking to recover millions of dollars in damages that comes with the franchise leaving oakland. city officials say the nfl is using the relocation as a way to get cities to build new stadiums and quote 'generate fortunes for themselves.'. fans are upset about the raiders leaving oakland... but happy about the lawsuit filed on tuesday by the city.

( darya ) new this morning... the a-t-f is offering a 25-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the people responsible for 157 firearms. officials were able to recover several stolen guns in vallejo that were from burglaries in nevada and found in the possession of gang members. four burglars in these pictures are connected to four separate burglaries dating back to august in reno nevada. on monday the burglars used a sledgehammer to smash the front window of juggernaut arms in sparks nevada.. they stole 27 guns from the store. a-t-f is asking anyone with information connected to the burglaries to contact them. peninsula... san bruno police are looking for three thieves who were attempting to steaan atm. police were called to the 2-hundred block of east san bruno avenue for a burglary in progress just before 5:30 monday morning. police say the thieves used a u-haul rental truck to forecefully drag the atm out of the business. after several failed attempts they left. police say the thieves were wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks. ( james ) officials have identified the construction worker who died monday on east marin island. 39-year-old shawn moore suffered extensive injuries when a rock and concrete wall collapsed. the construction crew was demolishing an old stone structure on the island. investigators are still unsure how ore became trapped by the wall. cal osha is investigating the accident. ( james ) two women have turned themselves in after video surfaced of them vandalizing a san francisco restaurant during santa con.
21-year-old natalie alcantar has been arrested for vandalism and 21-year-old hannah baughman also areested for vandalism and battery. police say the women seen here in a video inside the shalimar restaurant on olk street got into an argument about paying for food. baughman was denied service and that's when she started knocking over items and punched a man in the face. police say alacantar grabbed a chair from outside the restaurant and used it to shatter the front door. both ran from the restaurant. the man who was punched is okay. ( darya ) plans to add a toll on treasure island... are on hold. the governing board of the san francisco transportation authority... delayed its vote on a new toll policy... saying the board was seeking more time to flush out the details. business owners and residents fear the toll will have a negative economic impact and drive residents away.
"i already have people in my employ that have said if there's a toll, they're not going to work for me. i have customers who say i'm not going to come up there and do some wine tasting if i have to pay seven dollars to get on the island.">( darya ) the transportation authority says revenue from the tolls will pay for new ferry services on the island and additional bus services. there are currently 625 households on the island. that number is expected to increase to 8-thousand with additional housing coming to the area. if approved the toll would go into affect by late 20-21. morning... the death toll in the camp fire has risen to 86. officials say no human remains were found but a man who was burned in the fire and sent to the hospital died from his injuries. three people are still missing. of the 86 people that have died.. 52 have been identified. ( darya ) demonstrators rallying inside san francisco's p-g-and-e headquarters... to protest the company's role in the camp fire. ( james ) as kron 4's dan kerman reports... an attorney who is representing surviors of the fire says he knows how the utility's equipment caused the fire. more than 2 dozen demonstrators marched to the lobby of pacific gas and electric's corporate headquarters in san francisco tuesday to protests the company's role in the camp firesot faiq raza/protester :14 you need to be held responsible for what happened in paradise, we cant continue
allowing this bad behavior of destroying lives and neighborhoods.demonstrators , who read the names of those who perished in the camp fire believe the utility is reponsible for causing the fire.sotnow we know pretty much exactly what happened. attorney mike danko who is filing lawsuits on behalf of both camp fire survivors and family's of victims agrees.. and in his latest filing he pinpoints what believes is the cause of the blaze sot mike danko/attorney representing camp fire survivors :55we know the fire started at a high transmission tower. an electrified wire on the tower came loose from its mooring and struck the side of the tower that caused sparks and that caused molten metal from the tower to fall onto the trees below and that's waht started the fire.and danko says p, g and e is not only

( james ) in world news.. theres a massive manhunt going on in france after a gunman opened fire killing 3 people and injuring 13 others. the gunman has been identified by police and was already known to security services as a possible threat. french officials had attmepted to bring the gunman in for questioning yesterday morning before the shooting on an unrelated case but he was not located. the shooting
took place in strasbourg at one of eurpoes oldest markets. the gunman did exchange fire with police.. and he was injured. ( james ) a new york judge is ordering the release of a mother jailed after she was violently separated from her toddler by police. the videotaped encounter happened at a new york city social services office. the judge set jazmine headley free hours after the brooklyn district attorney annound he was dropping all charges against her. headley was arrested after a dispute with a guard in a crowded waiting room because she sat on the floor while waiting. video shows officers yanking
her 18-month old son from her arms. district attorney eric gonzalez says he was 'horrified by the violence" in the video. ( james ) a big story this morning... president donald trump is threatening to shutdown the government unless congress agrees to spend five billion dollars on a border wall.( darya ) congressional democrats say five billion is excessive and unnecessary. mark meredith is in washington with a closer look
right now and will not shut down the government and that's what we're urging you to do" but the president says unless he gets the five billion...there's no deal. house minority leader nancy pelosi told reporters after the meeting, congress is nowhere close to providing the money. ( darya ) faith leaders are learning what to do in case someone enters their house of worship with a gun. more than 100-leaders gathered in the sacramento for the seminar. the u.s. department of justice trained them on how to prevent and handle an active shooter situation. october's deadly synagogue shooting in pittsburgh prompted tuesdays training, which was not open to the media. jewish faith leaders say they're seeing a significant rise in ant- semitic incidents.. ( darya ) according to the f-b-i, since 20-14, there have been five deadly
shootings at either a church or synagogue, three of which resulted in mass casualties. ( james ) the warriors were in san francisco for its annual holiday hoops benefit luncheon.... a coversation with steph curry was the highlight of the event but there was no response to his comments on the moon landing.( darya ) everyone was hoping it would come up during his on stage conversation at the fairmont hotel. unfortunately it never did and reporters were not allowed to ask any questions. its been a couple of days since curry's couple of days since curry's comments on the "winging it" podcast, doubting that humans have ever landed on the moon. since we couldn't ask curry, we asked the vice chairman of the san francisco chamber of commerce if he thought the warriors guard was just kidding or serious. long been struggling with a lackof beds and services .. for patrons of county- run health care facilities. but as kron four's rob fladeboe tells us, relief is on the way amid the purchase of three struggling private hospitals. the financially struggling o'connor hospital is no longer on life support. by purchasing o'connor hospital and two other fiscally unsound hospitals, saint louise in gilroy and de paul health center in morgan hill, santa clara county will have solved it's over-crowding problems at the county-run valley medical center says county exec jeff smith.jeff smith/santa cara county executive "...our patient population is under served because there is not adequate access for them so we really need to make sure these two hospitals stay open and provide access to everyone who needs it..."as part of a bankruptcy reorganization, owner verity health systems
accepted the county's lone $235 million dollar bid. aquiring the three facilities will add some 456 beds, doubling capacity county wide. and it means south county residents, fearful of losing their local hospitals, will instead see expanded services. jeff smith/santa clara county executive "....we're basically going to run them as two community hospitals. patients wont see much of a difference but behind the scenes we will have a different financial approach as well as providing more services to the community..." the deal looks good on paper. the county hopes to succeed where verity health failed because public hospitals receive more reimbursement per patient than private institutions because of the way medi-cal is set up under the affordable care act.rob fladeboe/san jose "...many of the 17-hundred employees at the acquired hospitals will
likely become county employees. the deal is to be finalized later this month and the county expects to take over operations in february. in san jose rob fladeboe kron 4news. ( james ) one man's effort to bring awareness to pollution.. brought him all the way to hawaii, from japan.... and he is expected to eventually be in san francisco. this is video as 51-year-old ben lecomte swam to shore on oahu monday. he first stepped in the waters in japan a little more than six months ago. lecomte was originally supposed to swim from japan to san francisco..but bad weather forced him to stop in hawaii. he says what he saw on the journey was eye-opening.
