presence at diablo valley college after a threat was discovered on campus. kron 4's sara stinson is live at the campus in pleasanthill with the sara. parents are angry the school isn't shutting down after a threat written in a bathroom was found here at diablo valley college yesterday.there will be an increase in police presence today - but parents say that's not enough. we have a picture of the threat - take a look at your screen.this was written in the bathroom stall in the humanities building.it reads quote "get ready - for the lucky person reading this - your life will be spared on thursday the 13th...the last day of classes i will imbecile classmates."the person then wrote - you're going to report this? i always get my way and signed the letter "z" plus - a drawing of a gun.campus police are continuing to investigate what they call a non-specific anonymous threat.there will
have a signifigant police presence today.there will also be counselors standing by to help students who may feel anxious about this threat. parents have reached out to kron four news saying the campus should be shut down due to the threat.police say if you see something suspicous - don't think twice about calling it in.hill, sara stinson, kron fours news.

( darya ) breaking overnight news. a 19 year old man was shot to death in east palo alto. the shooting happened just after midnight on the 12-hundred block of beech street. police tells us a shotspotter detected multiple gun shots fired in the area. when officers got to the scene, they found the man suffering from several wounds. he died on the scene. the gunman was able to get away. this is the third homcide in east palo alto this year. ( darya )also breaking overnight... police are looking for someone who stabbed at man at the powell street bart station in san francisco. police found the 33-year-old victm with wounds to his torso at around 9 o'clock last night. he was taken to the hospital. his condition is unclear this morning ... but police say his injuries were life threatening. police do not have a description of the attacker ... but if you know something ... they want to hear from you.
( darya )developing this morning --- developing this morning --- we're learning of a possible homicide on the peninsula. police arrived to the home on valparaiso avenue around 5-30 wednesday night. that's in menlo park near west atherton. police say when they got there, they found a woman who was unresponsive. paramedics tried to revive her, but couldn't. police have taken one person taken into custody... as they investigate what happened. ( darya ) new this morning... police in san jose have arested a man for a homicide that happened earlier this week on chestnut street. terry hill is accused of killing a man on tuesday. police arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from a stab wound. police say hill later returned to the scene and was taken into custody and charged with murder. ( darya )another big story we are following... christmas eve may be the last time you will get to see the raiders play in oakland. the team is pulling out of a lease proposal to play at the coliseum next season. kron 4's will tran is live at the
raiders headquarters with the latest the divorce between oakland and the raiders got uglier as the team said it is pulling out of the last year of its lease with the coliseum meaning christmas eve might just be their last game in oaklandteam owner mark davis has said that if oakland sued them for leaving to las vegas he would not play in oakland for the 2019 seasonoakland is suing not just the raiders but all nfl owners and the nfl itself calling all of them a cartel bent on not staying in oakland but moving which will get them 378 million dollars that they can split among themselves
( darya ) this morning we are getting a look at new video showing the driver leaving the scene of a deadly-hit-and run in san francisco. we first brought you this story yesterday morning as breaking news. the hit-and-run happened near the corner of bush and leavenworth. the victim has now been identified as 58-year-old tersita collins from san francisco. now we are seeing security video of the car police are looking for. in it you can see the driver driving slowly up leavenwroth... stop... get out of the car and looks down the street. then the driver
gets back in the car and drives away. ( darya ) police say they do have several pieces of evidence including the car's bumper and pieces of clothing. they are still looking for more witnesses. ( darya ) in the south bay... a family and community are grieving-- after a teacher was shot by police in his redwood city home. right now-- an investigation is underway-- trying to piece together exactly how it happened. police say they acted in self defense when kyle hart... armed with a knife... threatened to take his own life.. he was then shot and killed by officers during what they characterized as a violent encounter in his back yard. ( darya ) another big story we are following... the san francisco fire department is mourning the loss of one of its own . fire officials say steven pacatte died on his way to work yesterday in a car accident. he was hired back in january 20-16 ... and served at three different stations. he also recently deployed to help fight the 'camp fire' in butte county. he leaves behind an expecting fiance... a mother, a father and sisters. ( darya ) in the east b ...a deadly hit-and-run remains unsolved nearly a year after it happened. and now police in oakland have asked for the community's help in solving the cold case... the deadly hit-and-run happened just after five in the morning at that intersection on 98th avenue and sunnyside street--- earlier this year on january first 2018. investigators say 18-year-old chauntel dunkley rochelle was in the intersection when she was struck and killed by a hit- and-run driver. investigators have very few leads in the case. the suspects vehicle is described as possibly a dark colored grey sedan. a ten thousand dollar reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest... ... police in morgan hill are searching for a man in a car-jacking that left a victim with minor injuries. it happened on monterey road back on november 23rd. this is a surveillance picture of the man at a nearby business. police say the man used a knife to force another man out of his car. the suspect then stole a chevy pickup truck-- which officers found in san martin several hours later. ( darya ) santa cruz police arrested a man after he was caught looking under bathroom stalls... inside women's restroom at cabrillo college. a female student told police tuesday that 25-year-old kenneth wilder ... enter the restroom and started making threats as he looked under stalls. the woman confronted wilder as he was leaving ... that's when he pushed the door shut... causing the door to strike the victim in the head. wilder ran off and was later arrested by police at a nearby target. we're told he is a registered sex offender... and is currently behind bars being held without bail.
( darya ) shoppers in the north bay are on edge ... after a fight and a fire happened within hours of each other at a target in fairfield. police think that monday's fight between three homeless people happened because of an argument. one man was cut by a knife during the fight. then hours later ... a planter box outside the target caught fire. the two incidents are adding new concerns for people shopping there during the holidays. ( darya ) one man was arrested for the fight inside the store. and fire officials do not yet know if the homeless people around the store were to blame for a planter box ( darya ) on the peninsula ... the san mateo county sheriff's office wants your help to find two package theives. a man and woman were caught on camera stealing from two homes in millbrae. one on the 400 block of broadway and the other the 500 block of bayview rd. the thefts happened monday
