( will )raiders have said they are not going to play at the coliseum after the city sued the raiders and the nfl for the raiders move to vegas now alameda county officials are saying they are done with the raiders .county supervisor nate miley says the county has other priorities including the homeless problem.santa clara county officials are reviewing their laws to see if the raiders could play next year at levi's stadium .. sharing the faculty with the niners for one season uc berkeley's stadium is too small and the university has ordinances preventing nfl games from playing there anyway

( james ) on the peninsula.... menlo park police have arrested a 36- year-old man from ohio in connection to the stabbing death of a woman. francisco wolke is in jail... charged with suspicion of murder. police say on wedesday wolks stabbed and killed a woman living in a home along the 9-hundred block of valparaiso avenue. police say wolke was wanted in connection to a 20-14 prowling

and drug charge out of santa clara. the san mateo county coroners office has not released the name of the victim. ( darya ) in the east bay... police in berkley are investigating an early morning attempt to break into an apple store... with a u-haul truck. the u-haul truck smashed into the front doors of the apple store on fourth street around 3:30 yesterday morning. the collision triggered a burglary alarm and police arrived a short time later... but the driver of the u-haul truck was already gone. police say the truck didn't even all the way inside the store... there is a gate behind the glass. police say they are now trying to track down whoever rented the u-haul and see if anyone has the crash on camera. ( darya ) the store was able to re- open yesterday afternoon with temporary wood doors. ( james ) a big story this morning... police across

the country and here in the bay area were on high alert yesterday after threatening emails were sent to multiple businesses. the threats were demanding bitcoin payment.. sent to at least 20 businesses in san francisco... including our building here on front street. those businesses ranged from offices.. financial instutions.. a parking garage and some bio and tech corporations. the threats focused on the financial distrct and in fisherman's wharf. the san francisco fire credit union and the jewish community center on california street evacuated as a precaution. several hours later all the locations were determined to be safe... police did not find any bombs. police say the threats appeared to be a hoax. s-f-p-d is working with other agencies across the country to determine who sent the email. ( darya ) more issues this morning at an east bay school where heaters were not working in classrooms. the heat is back on at treeview elementary in hayward, but now its causing a new problem. the principle sent out a note to families about how the heating system is overheating floor

from seattle to dallas has to turn around mid flight when the crew realized they forgot to deliver a human heart that was needed for a transplant. the heart was on a southwest flight from sacramento to seattle... where doctors were waiting for it. but the plane continued on... and it was'n't until the plane was over idaho when the crew realized there was a mistake. the pilot told the passengers what had happened and the plane turned around. fortunately the valves are viable for transplant longer than the heart itself... so the two transplant recipients were still able to receive their transplants.

(ááboxesáá) ( darya ) happening today --- motor-powered "go-bikes" are coming to san jose. there will be over 120 new "pedal-assist" bikes --- which can reach a top speed of 18 miles per hourd and they will be added to the existing fleet of ford go-bikes across the city. membership for access to the bikes in san francisco, oakland, san jose and emeryville will cost you 15 dollars a month, or two dollars for a single ride. ( jane )good morningwalmart and target are facing a lawsuit from the new york attorney general over a line of toys that allegedly contained levels of lead above the legal limit.the ag's suit claims that the line of cra-z- jewelz jewelry-making kits were contaminated with lead levels 10 times higher than the federal limit.both walmart and target say they have pulled the products from their stores in 2016.the food and drug administration has traced an e-coli outbreak in romaine lettuce to a single farm's irrigation reservoir in santa barbara county, california. adams brothers farms, the producer linked to the pre- thanksgiving outbreak, has not shipped lettuce since nov. 20 and has cooperated with the investigation, according to the fda.as of dec. 13, 59 people in 15 states had become ill during this e. coli outbreak.people aren't just

( darya ) happening today... the weeklong strike by thousands of kaiser mental health professionals is expected to end. demonstrators have been taking part in protests at medical centers and offices in the bay area and across california. workers are protesting what

they say is a lack of staffing that affects care. a union president says patients have to wait a month of more for follow-up appointments because of low staffing levels... and that kaiser needs to hire hundreds more clinicians. ( james ) the skyline in the east bay might be dramatically changing if the city of emeryville approves a proposed skyscrapper. these are artist renderings of what the 54-story buidling would look like. according to the proposal it would be located off powell street right off the 80 east highway exit. the skyscrapper would offer 638-residental unitts and 16 stories of the building would be dedicated office space. the project also includes a new half-acre public park. but if you commute through the east bay near berkeley and emeryville... you know this is one of the worst traffic areas. we talked to locals about what they thought of the project.
