boy near santa rosa. sonoma county officials agreed to ápay the family of andy lopez, three million dollars to settle the civil case out of court. there will be no civil trial to determine if the sheriff's deputy who shot and killed andy lopez, is culpable. years ago, eric gel-haus was cleared of all criminal charges, and was promoted to sergeant in 20-16. he is the iraq war veteran who pulled the trigger in october of 20-13... at the time lopez was walking down moreland avenue south of santa rosa... carrying what looked to be an a-k-47 assault rifle... but was in fact, it was an airsoft b-b gun. sonoma county's sheriff says he hopes this settlement helps the lopez family heal. 50- million more than last year. and this week in particular is the busiest week of the year for workers as christmas is just around the corner. kron 4's alecia reid shows us how they manage all that mail? crews are working around the clock to make sure people get their mail and packages before christmas.but, time is running out.pkgduring christmas time ...demand gets higher ...with each passing year. sot - this is crunch timewhat used to be termed the "busiest mailing day" of the year has morphed into the "busiest week," ... thanks to online shopping. sot - we're readyacross the us, more than 200 million packages are expected to be processed and delivered this week. the us postal service claims to have the most sophisticated mail processing and delivery network in the world ...sot - we're really excited. this is what we've been working towards for the entire year. close to 503-thousand parcels

at least two thousand e=scooters deployed across the city... but some riders are causing problems.... including riding on sidewalks. so, the city council is considering a new policy to regulate the scooters. one idea is called geo - fencing... which is similar to what helps grocery stores keep track of shopping carts. the technology could limit where those scooters operate. ( robin ) the new policy will be implemented in february of next year.
