well, here on mt diablo on monday it was a consistently cold day. in the morning as moisture moved through there was snow falling. especially near the summit which is about 4849 feet. they had heavy flurries up there. the roadways were slick as the snow would melt and then freeze on the roads and parking lots. by mid morning state parks, which operates mt diablo, had closed down the summit and people were being stopped at the juniper campground below the summit.through out the day the rain and snow let up and as we head into the evening hours we are expecting more rain and possibly snow over night and into tuesday morning. if anyone is headed up here keep in mind that you probably wont be able to reach the summit and that the roadway will be slick.in contra costa county, charles clifford kron 4 news

(vicki)now that the super bowl is behind us, the raiders' stadium saga is the n-f-l's biggest story...(grant) and it appears the team may be getting closer to finalizing a deal to play the 20-19 season at oracle park in san francisco... kron 4's kate rooney is here with the details. (kate) it's looking possible but there are still a lot of factors in play...reports surfaced yesterday that the raiders were nearing a deal to share newly anointed oracle park with the giants this fall...but no one is quite ready to make an official announcment last night reports suggested a deal was all but done...however , neither the giants nor the raiders would comment today...san francisco's oracle park has been tossed around as a possible home for the raiders since december...that 's when the team announced it was pulling out of a one-year lease extension at the oakland
coliseum...a response to the city's anti-trust lawsuit against the raiders and the nfl...oakland city councilmember no-el gallo told me today that for mark davis and the raiders to even consider playing in san franciso would be disrespectful to a fan base that continues to support the team. and san francisco supervisor matt haney, whose district includes oracle park, said there are many factors áasideá from the product on the field to consider. matt haney says: "we'd have a lot of serious things to talk about, you know, how are we going to deal with all the people, with the transportation, with public safety, with our infrastructure. we haven't started having those conversations yet. you know we're going to have the warriors arena opening up in the fall, we want to make sure that they're not having games at the same time and having those conflicts, so if they do choose to go down this route, we have a lot of things that we have to talk about, and those negotiations haven't even started yet." another factor is the 49ers...legally, that team would have to waive territorial rights in san francisco to make room for the
raiders. the 49ers aren't commenting, but sources familiar with the situation say the team has ánotá waived its rights, and even if it did, the matter would require n-f-l approval. so the moral so the moral of this story so far seems to be you can't make all of the people happy all of the time.
