oakland teachers are back on the picket lines as they enter day three of their strike. ( james ) talks between the teacher's union and the school district broke down over the weekend. they'll be back at the bargaining table today. kron4's will tran is at oakland tech with the latest. will. happening today... teachers in oakland will strike for a third day. negotiations between the tachers union and the district broke down over the weekend. yesterday's negotiations lasted just one hour. the teachers union is holding out for a 12 percent pay raise over the next three years.. they're also calling for smaller class sizes. instead the district is offering a 7 percent retroactive raise plus a 1 and a half percent one-time bonus..

teachers strike continues today community groups have stepped forward to voice their support and offer somewhere for parents to bring their kids if they don't want to cross picket lines. one of those places is the taylor memorial methodist church in oakland. we spoke with pastor anthony jenkins about what they are doing. kron4 dot com.... there you can find more information about the walkout. and what students and parents can expect. all that on kron4 dot com. in the north bay... the city of sausalito is working with caltrans and the national park service to continue to monitor the hillside above sausalito boulevard, after that major mudlside that destroyed two homes. the city officials say they are monitoring the storm drain system and water runoff in the area because of the storm that's expected to arrive today. over the weekend... the u-s-g-s surveyed the u-s-g-s surveyed the hillside using laser technology. and this morning several people have been detained covering the teacher strike was robbed and their security guard was shot. the k-p-i-x crew was on the one- thousand block of 81st avenue when a car pulled up... two people got out and robbed the crew at gunpoint. the security guard was shot but did return fire. that guard is in stable condition this morning. police did

chase a car involved in the robbery. that car crashed and the driver was detained. several others have also been taken into police custody. ( james ) this morning... investigators continue to look into the death of san francisco long-time public defender jeff adachi. the 59-year old husband and father died on friday night... from an apparent heart attack at an apartment on telegraph place, near coit tower. an autopsy was done this weekend... but sources tell kron 4 authorities are investigating if there are any suspicious circumstances involved. while police are working to confirm a cause of death... people are beginning to start a memorial outside the public denfender's office. ( james ) happening now... police in the east bay are investigating a homicide in danville. it happened near fostoria way yesterday afternoon. police responded to reports of gunshots. when they arrived they found a man who had been shot and killed. police are still looking for the shooter this morning. ( darya ) in the east bay... police are looking for a man who they say tried to kidnap a teenaged girl. her parents told san ramon

police the man tried to lure their daughter into his car and then attempted to grab her. the girl said it happened friday along fallen leaf circle.. she said the man tried to convince her that her dad wanted him to give her a ride. when she refused... he opened the side door and lunged at her. she was able to runaway and hide in some bushes before calling her

failing joint caused concrete to fall onto the lower deck two weeks ago... forcing the bridge to be shut down for hours. the replacement of that joint is expected to be completed by march 2nd. then on march 4th... work on dozens of additional upper deck joints will begin. 30 lower deck joints will also be replaced later this year. the work will take place from 9 pm to 5 am... with one lane of traffic remaining open in each direction. ( james ) another big story we are following ... this week the house of representatives will vote on a bill to try and challenge president trump's emergency declaration on the us-mexico border. democrats argue the president's declaration is an attempt to go around congress' authority to control spending. but even if the measure to block the emergency sa he will veto it. and iunlikely congress has the votes to override that veto. california and several other states are suing to block the

emergency declaration.... the president says he believes the case will ultimately end up in the supreme court. ( james ) r. kelly's attorney says the r&b singer is pleading not guilty to charges accusing him of sexual assault. the 52-year-old kelly faces 10 sexual abuse counts involving four victims, three under the age of 17. a judge set bail at 1-million dollars, requiring kelly to pay 10 percent of that to go free. attorney steve greenberg told the judge saturday that kelly's finances are "a mess."kelly's next court date has been scheduled for march 22. get real relief (ácommercialá)(áábreakáá) ( james ) today crews are searching for the body of a woman buried by a coastal landslide at fort funston in san francisco. this happened friday... after a coastal cliffside collapsed on two women in their 20's were walking a dog on the beach at fort funston. san francisco fire crews were able to rescue one woman and the dog - both survived and are okay. the national park service will continue to monitor the conditions to make sure it's safe fcrews ... as the missing woman. ( james ) recently, kron four's philippe djegal made the trip up north to spotlight the first black- owned estate winery in the napa valley. halle lewis/wine educator- "pictured above is dr. brown and mrs. brown and mohammed ali checking out mrs. brown at a party." and, over the years, that's the kind of company bassett brown and his wife marcela have kept. not bad for a man from jamaica and a woman from panama.nats- in 1980, soon after the couple bought an abandoned ranch in

saint helena... they transformed the property nats- putting their hearts and souls into growing and selling grapes to local winemakers... nats- blazing a trail and setting the standard for aspiring black wine connoisseurs in the napa valley.halle lewis/wine educator- "being a black-owned winery and being family-owned, um, and just starting from the bottom and making their way up, now having two, two businesses, um, to run, i think is the allure, and just people wanting to support them." doctor and misses brown have since retired... staying mainly at their estate and vineyard in saint helena. the family business is now in the hands of their children.halle lewis/wi the pink shirt is deneen, our president." originally, brown estate wine educator halle (hal-ee) lewis says the brown's wished their kids would become doctors... but the trio had other plans, and it looks like they made the right choice. in 1996,

morning. 173-thousand pounds of frozen meals are being recalled because of glass and plastic in the meals. the recall involves the boston market homestyle meal brand of boneless pork ribs. they were made from dec. 7, 2018 to feb. 15, 2019. so far there have been no reports of injuries from the glass and plastic. if you have the meals ... you are urged to throw them away or return them to the store. ( darya )the show was great because there were fewer stupid scripted jokes and more stars doing unpredictable things.. like samuel l. jackson interrupting the show to tell spike lee the knicks had finally won. (sot) "after 18 straight losing games the knicks won. the score was 130 to 118" spike was excited about that.. but he was even more excited to hear he won the oscar for best adapted screen play for black of my 3 favorite movies this year: the other that i loved was green book.. which won for best picture and best supporting actor mahershala ali.. shout out to oakland

where he grew up and to st. mary's where he played basketball on a scholarship from 1992-94. he was solid on the court.. but obviously even better on the big screen.. he won an oscar for moonlight in 2017.. and he was great in hidden figures, house of cards, the place beyond the pines, and the third season of true detective. i said i had three favorite movies this year: the third is: bohemian rapsody.. here's rami malek sans fake teeth.. accepting the best male actor award for embodying freddie murcury the flamboyant frontman for queen.. the movie takes you on his wildly entertaining and tragic ride to stardome. then there's the x-rated video starring patriots owner robert kraft getting umm.. "serviced" at a florida "day spa".. what? this is a family show i'm trying to spare you the details, but if the video is as graphic as the police say it is.. it's going to be hard for kraft to maintain his innocence.. which he's doing

right now. it's only a misdomeanor charge.. but this is a huge fall from grace for the nfl owner who gets a superbowl win and an arrest warrant in the same month. the chief of police says he was as stunned as everybody else to see kraft caught up in the sting to bust human traffickers. they say the video shows kraft getting out of chaffeured car.. and everything he did inside from start to finish. if that video hits the internet it will be even worse for him than whatever punishment the nfl decides to do. sorry to end the buzz on such a down note, but that's it for today.

( james ) a new film set a record at the box office over the weekend. david daniel takes a look. the anti-rom-com "isn't it romantic" took fifth place in its sophomore weekend, earning seven-and-a-half million dollars. the wrestling film "fighting with my family" expanded to wide release and landed in fourth place with eight-million dollars. "the lego movie two: the second part" made 10-million dollars, good enough for third place. (nat) "tonight is not a game." this -- a 100 pound mountain lion was seen roamin the streets in sacramento over the weekend. police were warning everyone to stay inside yesterday morning. meanwhile animal control and california fish and wildlife crews rushed to bessemer way as they prepared the tranquilizer the cat went for a backyard to backyard. a standoff between man and the mountain lion finally came to an end behind the pomegranate tree of one man's backyard. ( james ) an explosion cart exploded. it caused three surrounding buildings. but fortunately nobody got hurt. the blast was so powerful ... the shockwaves caused beer
