( james ) (ááá2 shotááá) our big story out of the south bay. a man who is a stanford lecturer is behind bars after he was seen peeping into several homes ... naked.( darya )( darya ) and this is not the first time he has been caught. kron4's sara stinson has the details from san jose. this not the first time the stanford lecturer and prestigious musician has been arrested for prowling, but the latest time was caught on camera at home here on meadowslands lane.you can see mark veregge in this video walking naked in front of the home.he knocked on the front door looked through a window and then fled the scene. san

jose police say between feburary 15th and march fifth veregge committed several acts of indecent exposure.one of the times veregge was captured on video wearing a dress as he approached another home here on meadowlands lane where police say he exposed himself and ran away. the video helped police identify the 60- year-old. take a look at his picture now - he has been arrested on multiple counts of misdeamnor of peeping and prowling.a charge he faced back in 20-17 for prowling. the julliard trained musician has been apart of the california symphony and opera san jose.people we have talked with in the past have said they were bewildered that he would do this...veregge is now at the santa clara county jail. live in san jose, sara stinson, kron four news. judge could decide if the man accused of killing a woman at an east bay bart station is fit to stand trial. a judge will hear a psychiatrist's report on the mental competency of john lee cowell. he is accused of killing 18-year-old nia wilson at the macarthur bart station last july. the trial was suspended in december until it could be determined if cowell was mentally fit. ( darya ) also happening today... crews will break ground on new express lanes on highway 101. the 32 miles of express lane will run through san mateo and santa clara counties. the hope is that the lanes will reduce traffic and drive times between interstate 380 in san bruno and highway 237 in sunnyvale. ( darya ) happening now. police need help searching for 16-year-old boy with special needs ... who went missing in antioch. his name is kevin. he was last seen around 3 pm yesterday inside the lowe's store on lone tree way. kevin has a small hump in his

back and walks slightly slumped over. he was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweatpants and tan work boots. police say kevin likes to visit stores in the slatten ranch road area. ( james ) in the south bay. police are trying to figure out a motive behind the murder- suicide that claimed the life of a mother and her two young sons. here are pictures of the two boys who were killed by their mom. they are eric and kevin ... ages four and seven. neighbors are still in shock. they are trying to come to terms with what happened at the dent avenue apartment in san jose. ( james ) the two boys attended lietz elementary school. the district says, students there are being informed ... and that grief counselors are on hand.

( darya ) new this morning... police in santa rosa are looking for this woman after they say she burglarized the home of an 89-year-old woman. the woman stole credit cards and then used them in the old k-mart center. the woman was last seen driving a silver 4-door toyota tacoma with black rims. opening for a new apartment complex . the building has 38 one bedroom apartments, 38 two bedroom apartments and 7 three bedroom apartments. set to move in: 40 formerly homeless families and 43 low income families. at the cemony, mayor london breed said that the city will build hundreds more affordbale housing units. one..two..coyotes running free..they were spotted wednesday morning...prowling the suburban streets of the saratoga hills..stalking deer.. you see the pair racing over people's driveways and mailboxes.but the deer moves in on them..rudy romero captured the whole thing on his cell phone..city officials say coyotes are not uncommon in saratoga..and if you come across a coyote, the city encourages residents to avoid eye contact and try to leave the area calmly..eric griesshaber (grease-hober) is a vetenarian in cupertino, he first spotted coyotes weeks ago in cupertino heights on his way to work..

definitely concerning."> another concern..mountain lions..wildlife officials caught this 60 pound female mountain lion after someone reported it crossing the area of parker ranch road..in saratoga..santa clara county sheriff's office is urging residents in cupertino and saratoga to be aware of these animals..as it's just the start of coyote season.. ( james ) ( james ) pg&e is again causing controversy. this time because it wants to give its employees bonuses. in a recent filing ... pg&e has asked a federal bankruptcy judge to allow them to give out 235 million dollars in bonuses to thousands of employees, among them vice presidents and managers. the

request comes after the utility filed for bankruptcy. pg&e could be on the hook for billions of dollars for its role in california wildfires. ( james )( james ) pge has asked a bankruptcy judge to hold a hearing on the matter on march 27th. ( james ) people who lost their homes in the 20-17 tubbs fire in coffey park are eligible for up to 100 thousand dollars to help them rebuild their homes --- as long as they haven't already started to do so. the funding is through the city of santa rosa's cal-home disaster assistance program. to be

eligible --- you can't have already started to rebuild or repair your home. and you must have lived in the area before the fires and intend to be the owner after repairs are done. applications to the gap funding are available online --- and at a community meeting march 11th at the finley center in santa rosa. the meeting is scheduled to begin 6 p-m next monday. this morning. local doctors don't expect the measles to spread here in the bay area ... like it has in other states around the country.( james ) they credit tougher laws and policies for keeping the disease at bay. kron four's maureen kelly explains. we've essentially prevented measles cases by having this law in place the communicable disease programs chief for the contra costa county heath department is talking about sb 277.....a california law penned by a pediatrician turned state senator that aims to keep fewer non vaccinated kids from entering the school system. it stripped away the personal belief exception.....so now only kids with a medical reason can skip getting their shots before entering public and private schools....and even day care centers. contra costa county has seen an increase in the number of kids with vaccines entering kindergarten since the law went into affect in 2016.in our county see several hundred more children who are protected from vaccine

preventable diseases, state wide that probably equates to thousands of children we're gonna be safer and healthier and won't become ill from a vaccine preventable disease the state department of health says 95% of california kindergartners have gotten their required shots since the law went into effect....that's the highest reported level on record. because measles is so contagious......the infectious diesease expert i talked to compared it to a wildfire...we want to you know protect people from the vaccine similar to the way we want to eliminate drybrush because if there's a spark we can prevent it from spreading further and putting our community in danger and that's sort of what happens with measles when we have one case and we have enough people around that case who are vaccinated no other cases will develop but if there are many other unvaccinated or susceptible people around that measles case been at measles outbreak is going to continue spreading it largercalifornia is only one of three states in the u-s allowing only medical exemptions to vaccines...the other two are mississippi and west virginia.maureen kelly

( darya ) stephon clark's family helped lead a rally at the state capitol in support of a proposed law that could change when police use deadly force. clark's grandmother and brother were front and center at the rally, urging lawmakers to pass legislation that would restrict when officers can use deadly force. the bill, a-b 392's, main author- assemblymember shirley weber- says police know how to use restraint.. she pointed to the arrest of the man accused of the parkland high school mass shooting last year.

( james ) in the south bay... residents in one neighborhood -- say they're fed up and looking for solutions ... as more and more homeless move onto their sidewalks. right now -- there are dozens of shopping carts lining a san jose street -- and residents say nothing is being done about it. one resident says he has lived here for 10 years and says he's sympathetic because of the high cost of living in san

(nats)but those who complimented her use of the meme allowed it might not have actually been her idea. this ... the space x "crew dragon" capsule splashing down in the atlantic ocean ... after spending six days in space. this happened earlier this morning ... after the crew dragon capsule detached from the international space station and headed back home. crew dragon is space-x's first capsule designed to carry humans. it launched atop a spacex falcon 9 rocket last saturday morning.
