( darya ) police in mountain view have stopped what could have been a horrific situation at google.( james ) a man from maine threatened the company and traveled across the country to meet with company executives about taking his youtube channel down. kron4's michelle kingston has the story. (mk)33 year old kyle long arrested on sunday after making threats against google ... traveling from waterville maine to mountain view california to confront the company.katie nelson, mountain view police dept. spokeswoman "they learned that kyle was upset at google and at youtube for shutting down his youtube channel allegedly because it was demonetizing his videos and he was losing money." mountain view police say they first learned about kyle on friday after he was involved in a car accident and vandalized a gas statio they were told that he was in california and threatened physical violence if his meeting with google didn't go well.they say kyle told iowa state troopers he was on his way to mountain view because google shut down his youtube channel.katie nelson, mountain

view police dept. spokeswoman "i think there's a lot of 'what ifs' here, what could've happened and that's obviously the scariest part for a lot of people is you just don't know if this hadn't happened, what could've happened and with a lot of other incidences around the country involving campuses and protection of people we are just glad we were able to make this stop."just last year -- a suspected female shooter opened fire on youtube employees in san bruno -- wounding three workers -- before killing herself. mountain view police say this year, for this incident, they had a lot more information and are pleased they were able to stop long before anyone got hurt.katie nelson, mountain view police dept. spokeswoman "we are very aware that this is something that could potentially happen again and just the benefit of having a great working relationship with google is highly beneficial."michelle kingston, mkingstonnews"when police pulled long over -- they found three baseball bats in his truck. he is being held on 25-thousand dollar bail. we reached out to google for comment, but they didn't want to comment.in mountain view, michelle kingston, kron 4 news."

( james ) a big story this morning. two brothers from northern california were among the people killed in a plane crash in ethiopia. mel and bennett riffel were from redding. mourners at their old elementary school have started placing flowers at the base of a bell tower in the brothers' memory. they were on an adventure before mel's daughter is born in may. the pastor of saint joseph church and school visited with the parents on monday.

( darya ) new this morning... contra costa county fire fighters are on the scene of a house fire that broke out around 4:30 this morning. this is on the 28-hundred block of watson court in concord. firefighters tweeted out this pictures. nobody was injure just in. in home. police just announced that they have arrested 24-year old carlos carranza for the murder.

he's accused of stabbing 59- year-old bambi larson in the neck and torso last month. her body was discovered inside her home on the 900 block of knollfield way. carranza was booked overnight into santa clara county jail for murder. ( james ) new this morning... in the south bay... the santa clara county district attorney has decided ánot to file charges against the officer who fatally shot a man back in september of 2017. the d-a says that the officer acted to protect himself when he shot jacob dominguez. investigators say that dominguez was a known gang member and had refused orders to keep his hands up. police found a folding knife in his car and investigators say he had methamphetamine and p-c-p in his system when he died. ( james ) on the peninsula, in the hospital after he was hit by a car on u-s- highway 101 in san mateo. the 33-year-old officer was on his motorcycle when he crashed with a car just south of the third avenue interchange. both vehicles were headed south in the far right lane in slow traffic when the incident

occured. the officer was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries....the other driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police. ( darya ) house speaker nancy pelosi says she does not support impeaching president trump right now. the comments came in an interview with washington post magazine. she said impeachment would divide the country -- and quote -- "he's just not worth it." she also said she thinks trump is unfit to be president. the comments are perhaps pelosi's strongest yet against impeachment. ( darya ) still ahead on the kron 4 morning news... another major recall connected to faulty air bags. this time more than a millionb cars are affected. ( darya ) and a possible murder-suicide investigation after two people were found dead at a bay area shopping mall. ( james ) in national news... president trump is getting ready for another fight with congress over his proposed border wall. the president is asking for another 8-point-6 billion dollars for the wall. kron 4's anna wiernicki (war-nik-ee) is in washington d-c with the latest. president donald trump's 2020 budget has arrived on capitol hill and he is asking congress for 8.6 billion dollars in border wall funding.lloyd doggettu.s. congressman, d-texastake cg @ 0:09-0:16 every time you turn around he is asking american taxpayers to come up with billions of dollars more for something that is really an election year fantasy.anna wiernicki: texas democratic congressman

( james ) new this morning... honda is recalling more than 1 million cars because their airbag inflators can explode. the recall covers many honda and acura models from 2001 through 2016. the inflators are manufactured by takata. 23 people have been killed worldwide because of the faulty inflators. and the inflators covered by this recall are the inflators that were used to replace the original faulty inflators when the recalls began back in 2014. california public utilities commission during a meeting held last week in sacramento, the wall street journal reported.the state regulator for power companies has come under criticism for failing to properly enforce a 2016 law requiring electric utility companies to have a wildfire action plan.apple is expected to announce a new tv service later this month which is expected to carry original shows.it will be at the steve jobs theatre in cupertino.the new apple news service is also expected to be unveiled.the apple news service will reportedly look to offer a netflix-style bundle for magazines and subscription newspapers all in one convenient place.the us's top air-safety regulator has said the plane model involved in sunday's ethiopian air crash, the second such disaster in five months, is safe to fly. the faa says that recent crash cannot yet be linked to the indonesian air crash in october, although it was the same plane model.us-based carriers notably did not pull the planes from service, with many saying their aircraft are inspected regularly for readiness and safety.live from the live from the nasdaq marketsite, i'm j ane king back to you

( james ) a 5-year-old in tennessee is trying to cheer up police officers with his hug-a-cop movement. his name is foster and police saw him wearing a police uniform at a market and he wanted to give them a hug. the next day... foster went to police headquarters to hug even more police officers. he says he has laways wanted to be a cop when he grows up.

( darya ) in the east bay... family and friends are mourning the loss of an oakland city council woman's son.. after the 21-year-old was shot and killed over the weekend. no arrests have been made in the case. kron4's j-r stone has the story. 21 year old victor mcelhaney was remembered monday night at this small private event in west oakland. the son of oakland councilwoman lynette gibson mcelhaneywas shot and killed sunday...less than a mile from the university of southern california. the school that victor attended and where he studied music.sot police say that victor was walking down the street just after midnight sunday. it appears that he was the victim of an attempted robbery when a group approached him and shot him. angela wellman says victor used to call her his music mom. she's known him since he was 11. sunday she

( darya ) that was j-r stone reporting. at least three people are believed to have been involved in this killing down in los angeles. ( james ) in the north bay... two people are dead after a shopping mall... po involving an married couple. it happened in the parking lot of the codding-town mall in santa rosa. that's right off of highway 101 and say people were in the parking lot at the time of the shooting... with one of the bullets hitting a nearby car.

the two or any restraining order issued... but they still haven't told us. ( darya ) a horrific attack in san a horrific attack in san francsico. police say a man stabbed a woman with an ice pick. the stabbing happened near fifth and harrison streets... in the south of market neighborhood. the suspect walked up to a 35-year-old woman and stabbed her for no reason. the woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. police were able to arrest the suspect and identifed him as 40-year-old sean carsetti. police say they don't know if the the victim knew each other. carsetti is being held on suspicion of murder. ( darya ) a 25-year-old man was shot while driving in district early monday morning. police say the man then crashed into parked cars. the shooting was reported just bfore 3 a-m in the 2-thousand block of jerrold avenue. the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. no arrest has been made in the shooting and police have not released any suspect information. ( james ) a "tiny house village" is now under construction in berekely. volunteers broke ground on the development for the homeless yesterday. it's all part of a campaign that started

three years ago by an organization called youth spirit artworks. over the weekend -- organizers worked with contractors and engineers to begin the building process. the village will feature 14 tiny houses with beds... windows... electricity... furnishing and other amenities. ( james ) there are still some questions after bart was out of service for three hours over the weekend. bart says a computer network failure caused the shut down on saturday morning. this is video of people who were shut out at one of the

stations. bart says they know the glitch was software related, and that it was specifically one switch that caused the train systems to stall. but what they don't know is how. bart riders hope a definitive answer comes soon. ( james ) bart says they don't know whether the issue could happen while trains are in service.that's something they hope to understand better once a full report on the problem comes back.. if the system were to fail again ... bart says rider safety would not be in jeopardy. ( james ) more than 12-thousand cases of pillsbury unbleached all-purpose flour is being recalled. according to the u-s department of agriculture-- the items in question might be contaminated with salmonella. the recalled products have "best if used by" dates of april 19 and april 20th of 20-20. there are no reports of related illnesses. if you have this flour, take it back to the store for a refund. buzz.. even the warriors are getting cantankerous.. but we'll start with raptors and cavs because they actually came to blows. it started with serge ibaka and marquiss chriss jockeying for position under the basket.. then watch this: ibaka's on the floor.. chriss says something and then starts to walk away.. ibaka jumps up and goes for his throat, then throws a punch and chriss swings back.. ibaka coulda blown his top because chriss fouled him earlier in the game.. or maybe it was something chriss said when he went down.. something made him jump up and lose it. russell westbrook also lost his temper last night at some taunting fans.. and of course somebody caught it on their cell phone.. too many f- bombs so i can't run the sound.. but suffice to say westbrook threatened to beat up a guy and his wife.. who were sitting near the bench at the game in utah last night... the jazz fan says it was totally unprovoked and he just told russ to ice his knees..
