chief meteorologist lawrence karnow... for the latest on the flood conditions in the midwest... as well as a look at when rain will be returning to the bay area. lawrence karnow: it was a gorgeous day with mostly sunny skies early but then the fog returned. the doppler is showing no rain around the state. low clouds and fog will move into the bay and local valleys. on the satellite you can see the next storm headed our way. tomorrow we will see patchy fog give way to increasing clouds late. rain will move in tomorrow night and continue on wednesday. another storm will arrive late on friday with showers lingering into saturday. this week, and it seems like everyone involved is making big bucks... except the players. (catherine) the n-c-double-a is expected to earn about a billion dollars this year in t-v rights for the men's basketball tournament alone. but the student athletes won't see a dime of that money. as washington correspondent brie jackson reports... one congressman is introducing a bill to change that. big time college sports programs attract cheering fans and bring millions of dollars to schools each year.but college athletes get nothing...no tv money. no money when their name or picture is used to sell tickets...or even video games. some lawmakers say that's not right..."i believe in free

apple quietly unveiled new versions of its i-pad air and i-pad mini --- marking the company's first update of those products in years. the new i-pad mini has a seven-point-nine inch screen and comes with an apple pencil and a processor that's three times faster than previous models. it starts at 3-hundred-99 dollars.for 100-dollars more, the i-pad air has a bigger display, at 10-and-a-half inches.it also comes with the pencil and a faster processor, and replaces the 10-and-a-half inch i-pad pro in apple's online store. today's products were introduced in a news release, rather than at one of apple's popular live events. analysts believe apple did that to focus its march 25th press event on march 25th press event on its rumored streaming service.
